1 Thou shalt not receiue a false tale, neyther shalt thou put thine hande with the wicked, to be a false witnes. 2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do euil, neither agree in a controuersie to decline after many and ouerthrowe the trueth. 3 Thou shalt not esteeme a poore man in his cause. 4 If thou meete thine enemies oxe, or his asse going astray, thou shalt bring him to him againe. 5 If thou see thine enemies asse lying vnder his burden, wilt thou cease to helpe him? thou shalt helpe him vp againe with it. 6 Thou shalt not ouerthrowe the right of thy poore in his sute. 7 Thou shalt keepe thee farre from a false matter, and shalt not slaye the innocent and the righteous: for I will not iustifie a wicked man. 8 Thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and peruerteth the wordes of the righteous. 9 Thou shalt not oppresse a stranger: for ye knowe the heart of a stranger, seeing yee were strangers in the land of Egypt. 10 Moreouer, sixe yeres thou shalt sowe thy land, and gather the fruites thereof, 11 But the seuenth yeere thou shalt let it rest and lie still, that the poore of thy people may eat, and what they leaue, the beastes of the fielde shall eate. In like maner thou shalt doe with thy vineyard, and with thine oliue trees. 12 Sixe dayes thou shalt do thy worke, and in the seuenth day thou shalt rest, that thine oxe, and thine asse may rest, and the sonne of thy maide and the stranger may be refreshed. 13 And ye shall take heede to all things that I haue sayde vnto you: and ye shall make no mention of the name of other gods, neither shall it be heard out of thy mouth. 14 Three times thou shalt keepe a feast vnto me in the yeere. 15 Thou shalt keepe the feast of vnleauened bread: thou shalt eate vnleauened bread seue dayes, as I commanded thee, in the season of the moneth of Abib: for in it thou camest out of Egypt: and none shall appeare before me emptie: 16 The feast also of the haruest of the first fruites of thy labours, which thou hast sowen in the fielde: and the feast of gathering fruites in the ende of the yere, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the fielde. 17 These three times in the yeere shall all thy men children appeare before the Lord Iehouah. 18 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leauened bread: neyther shall the fatte of my sacrifice remayne vntill the morning. 19 The first of the first fruites of thy lande thou shalt bring into the house of the Lord thy God: yet shalt thou not seeth a kid in his mothers milke. 20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keepe thee in the way, and to bring thee to the place which I haue prepared. 21 Beware of him, and heare his voyce, and prouoke him not: for he will not spare your misdeedes, because my name is in him. 22 But if thou hearken vnto his voyce, and do all that I speake, the I wil be an enemie vnto thine enemies, and will afflict them that afflict thee. 23 For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee vnto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hiuites, and the Iebusites, and I will destroy them. 24 Thou shalt not bow downe to their gods, neither serue them, nor doe after the workes of them: but vtterly ouerthrowe them, and breake in pieces their images. 25 For ye shall serue the Lord your God, and he shall blesse thy bread and thy water, and I will take all sickenes away from the middes of thee. 26 There shall none cast their fruite nor be baren in thy lande: the number of thy dayes will I fulfill. 27 I will send my feare before thee, and will destroy all the people among whome thou shalt go: and I will make all thine enemies turne their backes vnto thee: 28 And I will sende hornets before thee, which shall driue out the Hiuites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites from thy face. 29 I will not cast them out from thy face in one yeere, least the land grow to a wildernes: and the beasts of the field multiplie against thee. 30 By litle and litle I will driue them out from thy face, vntill thou increase, and inherite the lande. 31 And I will make thy coastes from the red sea vnto the sea of the Philistims, and from the desert vnto the Riuer: for I will deliuer the inhabitants of the lande into your hande, and thou shalt driue them out from thy face. 32 Thou shalt make no couenant with them, nor with their gods: 33 Neither shall they dwell in thy lande, least they make thee sinne against me: for if thou serue their gods, surely it shall be thy destruction.

1 Não levantarás um boato falso; não concertarás com o perverso para seres testemunha injusta.

2 Não seguirás a multidão para fazeres o mal; nem darás testemunha numa causa, inclinando-te ao parecer da maioria, para perverteres a justiça;

3 nem favorecerás ao pobre na sua causa.

4 Se encontrares o boi do teu inimigo, ou o seu jumento desgarrado, sem falta lho reconduzirás.

5 Se vires caído debaixo da sua carga o jumento daquele que te aborrece, não o deixarás, certamente com o dono o aliviarás.

6 Não perverterás a justiça que se deve ao teu pobre na sua causa.

7 Guarda-te afastado do que é falso. Não matarás o inocente e o justo, porque não justificarei o perverso.

8 Não aceitarás peita, pois ela cega aos que têm vista, e perverte as palavras dos justos.

9 Não oprimirás ao peregrino; pois vós conheceis o coração dum peregrino, visto que fostes peregrinos na terra do Egito.

10 Seis anos semearás a tua terra, e recolherás os seus frutos;

11 porém no sétimo ano a deixarás descansar e não a cultivarás, para que os pobres do teu povo achem que comer; e o que estes deixarem, servirá de mantimento para os animais do campo. Assim farás com a tua vinha e com o teu olival.

12 Seis dias trabalharás, e ao sétimo dia descansarás; para que descanse o teu boi e o teu jumento, e para que se refrigere o filho da tua escrava e o peregrino.

13 Em tudo o que vos tenho dito, andai apercebidos; não fareis menção do nome de outros deuses, nem o nome deles se ouça da vossa boca.

14 Três vezes no ano me celebrarás uma festa.

15 Guardarás a festa dos pães asmos: sete dias comerás pães asmos como te ordenei, ao tempo apontado no mês de Abibe (pois nele saíste do Egito). Ninguém aparecerá diante de mim com as mãos vazias.

16 Guardarás a festa da ceifa, das primícias do teu trabalho, do que semeas no campo; e a festa da colheita no fim do ano, quando do campo recolheres os produtos do teu trabalho.

17 Três vezes no ano todos os teus homens aparecerão diante do Senhor Jeová.

18 Não oferecerás o sangue do meu sacrifício com pão levedado, nem ficará a gordura da minha festa durante a noite até pela manhã.

19 As primícias dos teus frutos trarás para a casa de Jeová teu Deus. Não cozerás um cabrito no leite de sua mãe.

20 Eis que eu envio um anjo adiante de ti, para que te guarde pelo caminho e te introduza no lugar que tenho preparado.

21 Estai de sobreaviso diante dele e ouvi a sua voz. Não o provoqueis, porque não perdoará a vossa transgressão; pois nele está o meu nome.

22 Mas, se ouvires atentamente a sua voz, e fizeres tudo o que eu disser; então serei inimigo dos teus inimigos e adversário dos teus adversários.

23 Porque o meu anjo irá diante de ti, e te introduzirá na terra dos amorreus, dos heteus, dos perizeus, dos cananeus, dos heveus e dos jebuseus; e destruí-los-ei.

24 Não te inclinarás diante dos seus deuses, nem lhes darás culto, nem farás conforme as suas obras; mas totalmente derribarás e quebrarás em pedaços as suas colunas.

25 Servireis a Jeová vosso Deus, e ele abençoará o vosso pão e a vossa água; e do meio de vós afastarei as enfermidades.

26 Na tua terra não haverá mulher que aborte, nem estéril; completarei o número dos teus dias.

27 Enviarei o meu terror diante de ti e trarei confusão sobre todo o povo em cujas terras entrares, e farei que todos os teus inimigos te voltem as costas.

28 Enviarei diante de ti vespas, que lançarão de diante de ti os heveus, os cananeus e os heteus.

29 Não os lançarei de diante de ti num só ano, para que não fique a terra reduzida a um ermo, e se multipliquem contra ti as feras do campo.

30 Pouco a pouco os lançarei de diante de ti, até que te aumentes e possuas a terra por herança.

31 Porei os teus termos desde o mar Vermelho até o mar dos filisteus, e desde o deserto até o Rio; pois entregarei às tuas mãos os habitantes da terra, e expulsá-los-ás de diante de ti.

32 Não farás aliança com eles, nem com os seus deuses.

33 Eles não habitarão na tua terra, para que te não façam pecar contra mim; pois, se servires os seus deuses, certamente isso te será um tropeço.
