မိ​မိ​ဖွား​သော​ရက်​ကို​ကျိန်​ဆဲ​ခြင်း

1 ထို​နောက်၊ ယော​ဘ​သည် နှုတ်​ကို​ဖွင့်၍ 2 မိ​မိ​ဖွား​သော​နေ့​ရက်​ကို ကျိန်​ဆဲ​လျက် မြွက်​ဆို​သည်​ကား။ 3 ငါ​ဖွား​သော​နေ့​ရက် ပျက်​စီး​ပါ​စေ။ သား​ယောက်ျား​ကို ပ​ဋိ​သ​န္ဓေ​ယူ​ပြီ​ဟု သ​တင်း​ကြား​ပြော​သော​ည​လည်း ပျက်​စီး​ပါ​စေ။ 4 ထို​နေ့​ရက် မိုက်​ပါ​စေ။ ဘု​ရား​သ​ခင်​သည် မျက်​နှာ​ပြု​တော်​မ​မူ​ပါ​စေ​နှင့်။ အ​လင်း မ​ပေါ်​ထွန်း​ပါ​စေ​နှင့်၊ 5 မှောင်​မိုက်၊ သေ​မင်း​အ​ရိပ်​သည် ထို​နေ့​ရက်​အ​သ​ရေ​ကို ရှုတ်​ချ​ပါ​စေ။ မိုး​တိမ်​ထပ် လွှမ်း​မိုး​ပါ​စေ။ မွန်း​တည့်​အ​ရှိန်​ဖြင့် ကြောက်​မက်​ဖွယ် ဖြစ်​ပါ​စေ။ 6 ထို​ည​သည်​မှောင်​မိုက်၌ ပျောက်​ပါ​စေ။ နှစ်​စဉ်​နေ့​ရက်​တို့​နှင့် မ​ပေါင်း​ပါ​စေ​နှင့်၊ 7 လ​အ​ရေ​အ​တွက်၌ မ​ဝင်​ပါ​စေ​နှင့်။ အော်၊ ထို​ည​သည် ဆိတ်​ညံ​ပါ​စေ။ ရွှင်​လန်း​သော​အ​သံ မ​ရှိ​ပါ​စေ​နှင့်။ 8 နေ့​ရက်​ကို​ရွေး၍ ကျိန်​ဆဲ​တတ်​သော​သူ၊ မိ​ကျောင်း​ကို ထ​စေ​တတ်​သော​သူ​တို့​သည် ထို​ည​ကို ကျိန်​ဆဲ​ပါ​စေ။ 9 ညဉ့်​ဦး​ယံ​ကြယ်​တို့​သည် မိုက်​ပါ​စေ။ ထို​ည​သည် အ​လင်း​ကို​တောင့်​တ၍ မ​ရ​ပါ​စေ​နှင့်။ နံ​နက်​မိုး​လင်း​ကို မ​မြင်​ပါ​စေ​နှင့်။ အ​ကြောင်း​မူ​ကား၊ 10 ငါ့​အ​မိ၏​ဝမ်း​ကို ပိတ်​မ​ထား၊ ဒု​က္ခ​ဆင်း​ရဲ​ကို ငါ​မ​မြင်​စေ​ခြင်း​ငှာ မ​ကွယ်​မ​ကာ။

11 ငါ​သည်​မွေး​စ​က အ​ဘယ်​ကြောင့် မ​သေ​သ​နည်း။ အ​မိ​ဝမ်း​ထဲ​မှ​ထွက်​စ​က အ​ဘယ်​ကြောင့် အ​သက်​မ​ချုပ်​သ​နည်း။ 12 ငါ့​ကို​အ​ဘယ်​ကြောင့် ပိုက်​ပွေ့​ရ​သ​နည်း။ အ​ဘယ်​ကြောင့် နို့​တိုက်​ရ​သ​နည်း။ 13 ထို​သို့​မ​ပြု​လျှင် ငါ​သည်​အိပ်၍ ငြိမ်း​ပြီ။ ပျော်​လျက်​နေ​ရ​ပြီ။ 14 မြို့​ပျက်​တို့​ကို ပြင်​ဆင်​ပြု​စု​သော လော​ကီ​ရှင်​ဘု​ရင်၊ 15 မှူး​မတ်​တို့​နှင့်​လည်း​ကောင်း၊ ရွှေ​ကို​ရ​တတ်၍ ဘ​ဏ္ဍာ​တိုက်၌ ငွေ​ကို​အ​ပြည့်​သို​ထား​သော မင်း​တို့​နှင့်​လည်း​ကောင်း ငါ​ငြိမ်း​ရ​ပြီ။ 16 သို့​မ​ဟုတ် အ​ချိန်​နေ့​လ​မ​စေ့​မီ မွေး​သော​သူ​ငယ်၊ အ​လင်း​ကို မ​မြင်​ရ​သော​သူ​ငယ်​ကဲ့​သို့ ငါ​ပျက်​စီး​ရ​ပြီ။ 17 ထို​အ​ရပ်၌ လူ​ဆိုး​တို့​သည် နောက်​တစ်​ဖန် မ​နှောင့်​ယှက်​ရ။ ပင်​ပန်း​သော​သူ​တို့​သည် ချမ်း​သာ​ရ​ကြ၏။ 18 အ​ချုပ်​ခံ​ရ​သော​သူ​တို့​သည်​လည်း အ​တူ​ငြိမ်​ဝပ်​ရ​ကြ၏။ ညှဉ်း​ဆဲ​သော​သူ၏ စ​ကား​သံ​ကို မ​ကြား​ရ​ကြ။ 19 ထို​အ​ရပ်၌ ကြီး​သော​သူ​နှင့် ငယ်​သော​သူ​ရှိ​ကြ၏။ ကျွန်​သည်​လည်း သ​ခင်​လက်​နှင့် လွတ်​ရ၏။

20 ဒု​က္ခ​ဆင်း​ရဲ​ခံ​ရ​သော​သူ​အား အ​ဘယ်​ကြောင့် အ​လင်း​ကို​ပေး​သ​နည်း။ စိတ်​နှ​လုံး​ခါး​သော​သူ​အား အ​ဘယ်​ကြောင့် အ​သက်​ကို​ပေး​သ​နည်း။ 21 သူ​တို့​သည် သေ​ခြင်း​ကို တောင့်​တ၍​မ​ရ​နိုင်။ ဝှက်​ထား​သော​ဥ​စ္စာ​ကို ဖော်​ခြင်း​ငှာ တူး​သည်​ထက် သေ​ခြင်း​အ​ကြောင်း​ကို ဖော်​ခြင်း​ငှာ သာ၍​တူး​ကြ၏။ 22 သူ​တို့​သည် သင်္ချိုင်း​တွင်း​ကို တွေ့​သော​အ​ခါ အ​လွန်​ဝမ်း​မြောက်၍ အ​ထူး​သ​ဖြင့် ရွှင်​လန်း​ကြ၏။ 23 မိ​မိ​သွား​သော​လမ်း ကွယ်​ပျောက်​သော​သူ၊ ဘု​ရား​သ​ခင် ဆီး​ကာ​ချုပ်​ထား​သော​သူ​အား အ​လင်း​နှင့်​အ​သက်​ကို အ​ဘယ်​ကြောင့် ပေး​သ​နည်း။ 24 အ​စာ​စား​ခြင်း​အ​ရာ၌ ငါ​ညည်း​တွား​ခြင်း ရှိ၏။ ငို​ကြွေး​မြည်​တမ်း​ခြင်း မျက်​ရည်​သည်​လည်း ရေ​စီး​သ​ကဲ့​သို့​ဖြစ်၏။ 25 ငါ​ကြောက်​သော​အ​မှု​သည် ငါ၌​ရောက်​လာ​ပြီ။ ငါ​အ​လွန်​ကြောက်​သော​ဘေး​သည် ငါ့​ကို​တွေ့​မိ​ပြီ။ 26 ငါ​သည် ငြိမ်​ဝပ်​ခြင်း​မ​ရှိ။ ချမ်း​ဧ​ခြင်း​မ​ရှိ။ သက်​သာ​ခြင်း​မ​ရှိ။ ဒု​က္ခ​ဆင်း​ရဲ​သက်​သက် ရှိ​သည်​ဟု မြွက်​ဆို​လေ၏။

1 After this opened Job his mouth, and cursed his day.

2 And Job answered and said:

3 Let the day perish wherein I was born,

And the night which said, There is a man-child conceived.

4 Let that day be darkness;

Let not God from above seek for it,

Neither let the light shine upon it.

5 Let darkness and the shadow of death claim it for their own;

Let a cloud dwell upon it;

Let all that maketh black the day terrify it.

6 As for that night, let thick darkness seize upon it:

Let it not rejoice among the days of the year;

Let it not come into the number of the months.

7 Lo, let that night be barren;

Let no joyful voice come therein.

8 Let them curse it that curse the day,

Who are ready to rouse up leviathan.

9 Let the stars of the twilight thereof be dark:

Let it look for light, but have none;

Neither let it behold the eyelids of the morning:

10 Because it shut not up the doors of my mother’s womb,

Nor hid trouble from mine eyes.

11 Why died I not from the womb?

Why did I not give up the ghost when my mother bare me?

12 Why did the knees receive me?

Or why the breasts, that I should suck?

13 For now should I have lain down and been quiet;

I should have slept; then had I been at rest,

14 With kings and counsellors of the earth,

Who built up waste places for themselves;

15 Or with princes that had gold,

Who filled their houses with silver:

16 Or as a hidden untimely birth I had not been,

As infants that never saw light.

17 There the wicked cease from troubling;

And there the weary are at rest.

18 There the prisoners are at ease together;

They hear not the voice of the taskmaster.

19 The small and the great are there:

And the servant is free from his master.

20 Wherefore is light given to him that is in misery,

And life unto the bitter in soul;

21 Who long for death, but it cometh not,

And dig for it more than for hid treasures;

22 Who rejoice exceedingly,

And are glad, when they can find the grave?

23 Why is light given to a man whose way is hid,

And whom God hath hedged in?

24 For my sighing cometh before I eat,

And my groanings are poured out like water.

25 For the thing which I fear cometh upon me,

And that which I am afraid of cometh unto me.

26 I am not at ease, neither am I quiet, neither have I rest;

But trouble cometh.
