Os descendentes de Benjamim

1 Benjamim gerou

Belá, o seu primogênito;

Asbel, o seu segundo filho; Aará, o terceiro;

2 Noá, o quarto; Rafa, o quinto.

3 Estes foram os filhos de Belá:

Adar, Gera, pai de Eúde, 4 Abisua, Naamã, Aoá, 5 Gera, Sefufá e Hurão.

6 Estes foram os descendentes de Eúde, chefes das famílias dos habitantes de Geba, que foram exilados em Manaate:

7 Naamã, Aías e Gera, que os deportou e foi o pai de Uzá e de Aiúde.

8 Depois de ter se divorciado das suas mulheres Husim e Baara, Saaraim teve filhos na terra de Moabe. 9 Com a sua mulher Hodes, ele gerou Jobabe, Zíbia, Messa, Malcã, 10 Jeús, Saquias e Mirma. Estes foram os seus filhos, chefes de famílias. 11 Com Husim ele gerou Abitube e Elpaal.

12 Estes foram os filhos de Elpaal:

Héber, Misã, Semede, que fundou Ono e Lode com os seus povoados. 13 Berias e Sema foram os chefes das famílias dos habitantes de Aijalom e foram eles que expulsaram os habitantes de Gate.

14 Aiô, Sasaque, Jeremote, 15 Zebadias, Arade, Éder, 16 Micael, Ispa e Joá foram descendentes de Berias.

17 Zebadias, Mesulão, Hizqui, Héber, 18 Ismerai, Izlias e Jobabe foram descendentes de Elpaal.

19 Jaquim, Zicri, Zabdi, 20 Elienai, Ziletai, Eliel, 21 Adaías, Beraías e Sinrate foram descendentes de Simei.

22 Ispã, Héber, Eliel, 23 Abdom, Zicri, Hanã, 24 Hananias, Elão, Antotias, 25 Ifdeias e Penuel foram descendentes de Sasaque.

26 Sanserai, Searias, Atalias, 27 Jaaresias, Elias e Zicri foram descendentes de Jeroão.

28 Todos estes foram chefes de famílias, líderes, conforme alistados nos registros genealógicos, e moravam em Jerusalém.

A sua mulher chamava-se Maaca; 30 o seu primogênito, Abdom; os nomes dos outros filhos eram Zur, Quis, Baal, Ner,*8.30 Conforme alguns manuscritos da Septuaginta. O Texto Massorético não traz Ner. Veja 1Cr 9.36. Nadabe, 31 Gedor, Aiô, Zequer 32 e Miclote, que gerou Simeia. Eles também moravam perto dos seus parentes em Jerusalém.

33 Ner gerou Quis, Quis gerou Saul, Saul gerou Jônatas, Malquisua, Abinadabe e Esbaal.*8.33 Variante de Is-Bosete.

34 O filho de Jônatas foi

Meribe-Baal,*8.34 Variante de Mefibosete. que gerou Mica.

35 Estes foram os filhos de Mica:

Pitom, Meleque, Tareia e Acaz.*8.35 Conforme a Versão Siríaca. O Texto Massorético e a Septuaginta não trazem e Acaz.

36 Acaz gerou Jeoada, Jeoada gerou Alemete, Azmavete e Zinri, e Zinri gerou Mosa. 37 Mosa gerou Bineá, pai de Rafa, que foi o pai de Eleasa, pai de Azel.

38 Azel teve seis filhos, cujos nomes foram:

Azricão, Bocru, Ismael, Searias, Obadias e Hanã. Todos estes foram filhos de Azel.

39 Estes foram os filhos de Eseque, o seu irmão:

Ulão, o primogênito; Jeús, o segundo; Elifelete, o terceiro. 40 Os filhos de Ulão eram soldados valentes e bons flecheiros. Tiveram muitos filhos e netos; ao todo, eram cento e cinquenta.

Todos estes foram descendentes de Benjamim.

28 All these were heads of families, chiefs as listed in their genealogy, and they lived in Jerusalem.

His wife’s name was Maakah, 30 and his firstborn son was Abdon, followed by Zur, Kish, Baal, Ner,*8:30 Some Septuagint manuscripts (see also 9:36); Hebrew does not have Ner. Nadab, 31 Gedor, Ahio, Zeker 32 and Mikloth, who was the father of Shimeah. They too lived near their relatives in Jerusalem.

33 Ner was the father of Kish, Kish the father of Saul, and Saul the father of Jonathan, Malki-Shua, Abinadab and Esh-Baal.*8:33 Also known as Ish-Bosheth

34 The son of Jonathan:

Merib-Baal,*8:34 Also known as Mephibosheth who was the father of Micah.

35 The sons of Micah:

Pithon, Melek, Tarea and Ahaz.

36 Ahaz was the father of Jehoaddah, Jehoaddah was the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth and Zimri, and Zimri was the father of Moza. 37 Moza was the father of Binea; Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son and Azel his son.

38 Azel had six sons, and these were their names:

Azrikam, Bokeru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.

39 The sons of his brother Eshek:

Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second son and Eliphelet the third. 40 The sons of Ulam were brave warriors who could handle the bow. They had many sons and grandsons—150 in all.

All these were the descendants of Benjamin.
