1 "Naquele dia uma fonte jorrará para os descendentes de Davi e para os habitantes de Jerusalém, para purificá-los do pecado e da impureza.2 "Naquele dia eliminarei da terra de Israel os nomes dos ídolos, e nunca mais serão lembrados", diz o Senhor dos Exércitos. "Removerei da terra tanto os profetas como o espírito imundo.3 E se alguém ainda profetizar, seu próprio pai e sua mãe lhe advertirão: ‘Você tem que morrer porque disse mentiras em nome do Senhor’. Quando ele profetizar, os seus próprios pais o esfaquearão.4 "Naquele dia todo profeta se envergonhará de sua visão profética. Não usará o manto de profeta feito de pele, para enganar.5 Ele dirá: ‘Eu não sou profeta. Sou um homem do campo; a terra tem sido o meu sustento desde a minha mocidade’.6 Se alguém lhe perguntar: ‘Que feridas são estas no seu corpo? ’, ele responderá: ‘Eu fui ferido na casa de meus amigos’.7 "Levante-se, ó espada, contra o meu pastor, contra o meu companheiro! ", declara o Senhor dos Exércitos. "Fira o pastor, e as ovelhas se dispersarão, e voltarei minha mão para os pequeninos.8 Na terra toda, dois terços serão ceifados e morrerão; todavia a terça parte permanecerá", diz o Senhor.9 "Colocarei essa terça parte no fogo, e a refinarei como prata, e a purificarei como ouro. Ela invocará o meu nome, e eu lhe responderei. É o meu povo, direi; e ela dirá: ‘O Senhor é o meu Deus’. "

1 In that day there will be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness.2 And it will come to pass in that day, says Yahweh of hosts, that I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land, and they will no more be remembered; and also I will cause the prophets and the unclean spirit to pass out of the land.3 And it will come to pass that, when any will yet prophesy, then his father and his mother who begot him will say to him, You will not live; for you speak lies in the name of Yahweh; and his father and his mother who begot him will thrust him through when he prophesies.4 And it will come to pass in that day, that the prophets will be ashamed every one of his vision, when he prophesies; neither will they wear a hairy mantle to deceive:5 but he will say, I am no prophet, I am a tiller of the ground; for man has acquired me from my youth.6 And one will say to him, What are these wounds between your arms? Then he will answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends.7 Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the [prominent] man who is my associate, says Yahweh of hosts: strike the shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; and I will turn my hand on the little ones.8 And it will come to pass, that in all the land, says Yahweh, two parts in it will be cut off and die; but the third will be left in it.9 And I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried. They will call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people; and they will say, Yahweh is my God.
