1 Mais uma vez veio a mim a palavra do Senhor dos Exércitos:2 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: "Tenho muito ciúme de Sião; estou me consumindo de ciúmes por ela".3 Assim diz o Senhor: "Estou voltando para Sião e habitarei em Jerusalém. Então Jerusalém será chamada Cidade da Verdade, e o monte do Senhor dos Exércitos será chamado Monte Sagrado".4 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: "Homens e mulheres de idade avançada voltarão a sentar-se nas praças de Jerusalém, cada um com sua bengala, por causa da idade.5 As ruas da cidade ficarão cheias de meninos e meninas brincando".6 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: "Mesmo que isso pareça impossível para o remanescente deste povo naquela época, será impossível para mim? ", declara o Senhor dos Exércitos.7 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: "Salvarei meu povo dos países do leste e do oeste.8 Eu os trarei de volta para que habitem em Jerusalém; serão meu povo e eu serei o Deus deles, com fidelidade e justiça".9 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: "Vocês que estão ouvindo hoje estas palavras já proferidas pelos profetas quando foram lançados os alicerces do templo do Senhor dos Exércitos, fortaleçam as mãos para que o templo seja construído.10 Pois antes daquele tempo não havia salários para os homens nem para os animais. Ninguém podia tratar os seus negócios com segurança por causa de seus adversários, porque eu tinha posto cada um contra o seu próximo.11 Mas agora não vou mais tratar com o remanescente deste povo como fiz no passado", declara o Senhor dos Exércitos.12 "Haverá uma rica semeadura, a videira dará o seu fruto, a terra produzirá suas colheitas e o céu derramará o orvalho. E darei todas essas coisas como uma herança ao remanescente deste povo.13 Assim como vocês foram uma maldição para as nações, ó Judá e Israel, também os salvarei e vocês serão uma bênção. Não tenham medo, antes sejam fortes. "14 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: "Assim como eu havia decidido castigar vocês sem compaixão quando os seus antepassados me enfureceram", diz o Senhor dos Exércitos,15 "também agora decidi fazer de novo o bem a Jerusalém e a Judá. Não tenham medo!16 Eis o que devem fazer: Falem somente a verdade uns com os outros, e julguem retamente em seus tribunais;17 não planejem no íntimo o mal contra o seu próximo, e não queiram jurar com falsidade. Porque eu odeio todas essas coisas", declara o Senhor.18 Mais uma vez veio a mim a palavra do Senhor dos Exércitos.19 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: "Os jejuns do quarto, do quinto, do sétimo e do décimo meses serão ocasiões alegres e cheias de júbilo, festas felizes para o povo de Judá. Por isso amem a verdade e a paz".20 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: "Povos e habitantes de muitas cidades ainda virão,21 e os habitantes de uma cidade irão a outra e dirão: ‘Vamos logo suplicar o favor do Senhor e buscar o Senhor dos Exércitos. Eu mesmo já estou indo’.22 E muitos povos e nações poderosas virão buscar o Senhor dos Exércitos em Jerusalém e suplicar o seu favor".23 Assim diz o Senhor dos Exércitos: "Naqueles dias, dez homens de todas as línguas e nações agarrarão firmemente a barra das vestes de um judeu e dirão: ‘Nós vamos com você porque ouvimos dizer que Deus está com vocês’ ".

1 And the word of Yahweh of hosts came [to me], saying,2 Thus says Yahweh of hosts: I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath.3 Thus says Yahweh: I have returned to Zion, and will stay in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem will be called The city of truth; and the mountain of Yahweh of hosts, The holy mountain.4 Thus says Yahweh of hosts: There will yet dwell old men and old women in the streets of Jerusalem, every man with his staff in his hand for very age.5 And the streets of the city will be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.6 Thus says Yahweh of hosts: If it is marvelous in the eyes of the remnant of this people in those days, should it also be marvelous in my eyes? says Yahweh of hosts.7 Thus says Yahweh of hosts: Look, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;8 and I will bring them, and they will stay in the midst of Jerusalem; and they will be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.9 Thus says Yahweh of hosts: Let your{+} hands be strong, you{+} who hear in these days these words from the mouth of the prophets who were there in the day that the foundation of the house of Yahweh of hosts was laid, even the temple, that it might be built.10 For before those days there was no wage for man, nor any wage for beast; neither was there any peace to him who went out or came in, because of the adversary: for I set all of man, every man against his fellow man.11 But now I will not be to the remnant of this people as in the former days, says Yahweh of hosts.12 For [there will be] the seed of peace; the vine will give its fruit, and the ground will give its increase, and the heavens will give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to inherit all these things.13 And it will come to pass that, as you{+} were a curse among the nations, O house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you{+}, and you{+} will be a blessing. Don't be afraid, [but] let your{+} hands be strong.14 For this is what Yahweh of Hosts says: As I thought to do evil to you{+}, when your{+} fathers provoked me to wrath, says Yahweh of hosts, and I did not repent;15 so again I have thought in these days to do good to Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: don't be{+} afraid.16 These are the things that you{+} will do: speak{+} every man the truth with his fellow man; execute the judgment of truth and peace in your{+} gates;17 and let none of you{+} devise evil in your{+} hearts against his fellow man; and love no false oath: for all these are things that I hate, says Yahweh.18 And the word of Yahweh of hosts came to me, saying,19 Thus says Yahweh of hosts: The fast of the fourth [month], and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, will be to the house of Judah joy and gladness, and cheerful feasts; therefore love truth and peace.20 Thus says Yahweh of hosts: [It will] yet [come to pass], that there will come peoples, and the inhabitants of many cities;21 and the inhabitants of one [city] will go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to entreat the favor of Yahweh, and to seek Yahweh of hosts: I will go also.22 Yes, many peoples and strong nations will come to seek Yahweh of hosts in Jerusalem, and to entreat the favor of Yahweh.23 Thus says Yahweh of hosts: In those days [it will come to pass], that ten men will take hold, out of all the languages of the nations, they will take hold of the skirt of him who is a Jew, saying, We will go with you{+}, for we have heard that God is with you{+}.
