Os filhos de Cam: Cuche, Mizraim, Pute e Canaã. Os filhos de Cuche: Seba, Havila, Sabta, Rama e Sabteca. Os filhos de Rama: Seba e Dedã.

13 Entre os descendentes de Canaã contam-se: Sidom (o seu filho primogénito) e Hete. Canaã foi também o antepassado dos jebuseus, amorreus, girgaseus, heveus, arqueus, sineus, arvadeus, zemareus e hamateus.

18 Arfaxade gerou Sala, e este gerou Eber.
19 Eber teve dois filhos, Pelegue (que quer dizer divisão, porque foi enquanto viveu que os povos da terra se dividiram em diferentes grupos de línguas) e Joctã.
20 Os filhos de Joctã: Almoda, Selefe, Hazarmave, Jera, Hadorão, Uzal, Dicla, Obal, Abimael, Seba, Ofir, Havila, Jobabe.
24 Um dos filhos de Sem foi Arfaxade, cujos descendentes foram sucessivamente: Sala, Eber, Pelegue,Reu, Serugue, Naor, Tera, Abrão (cujo nome foi mudado para Abraão).
32 Abraão teve, da sua concubina Quetura: Zimrã, Jocsã, Medã, Midiã, Jisbaque, Suá. Os filhos de Jocsã foram: Sebá e Dedã.

48 Quando Samela morreu, subiu ao trono Shaul, da cidade de Reobote, junto ao rio.
49 Shaul morreu e substituiu-o no trono Baal-Hanã, filho de Acbor.
50 Após o falecimento de Baal-Hanã, começou a reinar Hadade, que tinha o seu trono na cidade de Paú, e era casado com Metabel, filha de Metrede e neta de Mezaabe.
