1 Paul, prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy my brother,unto Philemon the beloved, and a fellow worker of ours,2 And unto Apphia our sister. And unto Archippus our fellow-soldier, and unto the assembly which meeteth, at thy house:3 Favour unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and Lord Jesus Christ.4 I am giving thanks unto my Godalways, making mention, of thee, in my prayers,5 Hearing of thy love, and of the faith which thou hast towards the Lord Jesus and towards all the saints,6 To the end that, the fellowship of thy faith, may become, energetic, by a personal knowledge of every good thing that is in us towards Christ;7 For, much joy, have I had, and encouragement, by occasion of thy love, in that, the tender affections of the saints, have had rest given them by thee, brother.8 Wherefore, though I have, much, freedom of speech, in Christ, to be enjoining upon thee that which is befitting,9 Yet, for loves sake, I rather exhort,being, such a one, as Paul the aged, now, also, even a prisoner of Christ Jesus,10 I exhort thee concerning my own child, whom I have begotten in my bonds,Onesimus:11 Him who, at one time, was, unto thee, unserviceable, but, now, unto thee and unto me, serviceable;12 Whom I have sent back unto theehim, that is, my own, tender affections!13 Whom, I, was minded, with myself, to detain, that, in thy behalf, unto me, he might be ministering in the bonds of the joyful message;14 But, apart from thy mind, I wished to do, nothing, that, not as by necessity, thy goodness should be, but, by choice.15 For, peradventure, for this cause, was he separated for an hour, that, as an age-abiding possession, thou mightest have him back,16 No longer as a servant, but above a servanta brother beloved, very greatly to me, but, how much rather, to theeboth in the flesh and in the Lord!17 If, therefore, thou holdest me as one in thy fellowship, take him unto thee, as myself;18 And, if he hath wronged thee at all or oweth thee aught, the same, unto me, do thou reckon:19 I, Paul, have written ; that I may not tell theethat, thyself, unto me, thou still owest.20 Yea! brother, I, would, from thee, have help, in the Lord: give rest unto my tender affections in Christ.21 Confident of thine obedience, I have written unto thee, knowing that, even beyond what I say, thou wilt do:22 At the same time, moreover, be also getting ready for me, a lodging; for I am hoping that, through your prayers, I shall be granted as a favour unto you.23 There salute theeEpaphras my fellow-captive in Christ Jesus,24 Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, Luke,my fellow-workers.25 The favour of the Lord Jesus Christ, be with your spirit.

1 Paulo, prisioneiro de Jesus Cristo, e o irmão Timóteo, ao amado Filemom, nosso cooperador, 2 e à nossa irmã Áfia, e a Arquipo, nosso companheiro, e à igreja que está em tua casa: 3 graça a vós e paz, da parte de Deus, nosso Pai, e da do Senhor Jesus Cristo.

4 Graças dou ao meu Deus, lembrando-me sempre de ti nas minhas orações, 5 ouvindo o teu amor e a fé que tens para com o Senhor Jesus Cristo e para com todos os santos; 6 para que a comunicação da tua fé seja eficaz, no conhecimento de todo o bem que em vós há, por Cristo Jesus. 7 Tive grande gozo e consolação do teu amor, porque por ti, ó irmão, o coração dos santos foi reanimado.

8 Pelo que, ainda que tenha em Cristo grande confiança para te mandar o que te convém, 9 todavia, peço-te, antes, por amor, sendo eu tal como sou, Paulo, o velho e também agora prisioneiro de Jesus Cristo. 10 Peço-te por meu filho Onésimo, que gerei nas minhas prisões, 11 o qual, noutro tempo, te foi inútil, mas, agora, a ti e a mim, muito útil; eu to tornei a enviar. 12 E tu torna a recebê-lo como ao meu coração. 13 Eu bem o quisera conservar comigo, para que, por ti, me servisse nas prisões do evangelho; 14 mas nada quis fazer sem o teu parecer, para que o teu benefício não fosse como por força, mas voluntário. 15 Porque bem pode ser que ele se tenha separado de ti por algum tempo, para que o retivesses para sempre, 16 não já como servo; antes, mais do que servo, como irmão amado, particularmente de mim e quanto mais de ti, assim na carne como no Senhor. 17 Assim, pois, se me tens por companheiro, recebe-o como a mim mesmo. 18 E, se te fez algum dano ou te deve alguma coisa, põe isso na minha conta. 19 Eu, Paulo, de minha própria mão o escrevi: Eu o pagarei, para te não dizer que ainda mesmo a ti próprio a mim te deves. 20 Sim, irmão, eu me regozijarei de ti no Senhor; reanima o meu coração, no Senhor.

21 Escrevi-te confiado na tua obediência, sabendo que ainda farás mais do que digo.

22 E juntamente prepara-me também pousada, porque espero que, pelas vossas orações, vos hei de ser concedido. 23 Saúdam-te Epafras, meu companheiro de prisão por Cristo Jesus, 24 Marcos, Aristarco, Demas e Lucas, meus cooperadores.

25 A graça de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo seja com o vosso espírito. Amém!
