1 Now, these, are the kings of the land, whom the sons of Israel had smitten, and of whose land they had taken possession, over the Jordan, towards the rising of the sun,from the ravine of Arnon, as far as Mount Hermon, and all the waste plain, on the east:2 Sihon, king of the Amorites, who dwelt in Heshbon,ruling from Aroer, which is on the edge of the ravine of Arnon, and the middle of the ravine, and half Gilead, even as far as the ravine Jabbok, the boundary of the sons of Ammon;3 and the waste plain as far as the sea of Chinneroth, on the east, even as far as the sea of the waste plain, the salt sea, on the east, the way to Bethjeshimoth,and, on the south, under the slopes of Pisgah;4 and the boundary of Og, king of Bashan, of the remnant of the giants,him who dwelt in Ashtaroth and in Edrei;5 ruling also in Mount Hermon, and in Salecah, and in all Bashan, as far as the boundary of the Geshurites, and the Maacathites,and half Gilead, the boundary of Sihon king of Heshbon:6 Moses the servant of Yahweh, and the sons of Israel, had smitten them,and Moses the servant of Yahweh, had given it, as a possession, unto the Reubenites, and unto the Gadites, and unto the half tribe of Manasseh.7 And, these, are the kings of the land, whom Joshua and the sons of Israel smote over the Jordan, towards the west, from Baal-gad in the valley of the Lebanon, even as far as the Mount Halak that goeth up towards Seir,and Joshua gave it unto the tribes of Israel, as a possession, according to their portions;8 in the hill country and in the lowland, and in the waste plain, and in the slopes, and in the desert, and in the south,the Hittite, the Amorite, and the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:9 The king of Jericho, one, the king of Ai, which is beside Bethel, one,10 The king of Jerusalem, one, the king of Hebron, one,11 The king of Jarmuth, one, the king of Lachish, one,12 The king of Eglon, one, the king of Gezer, one,13 The king of Debir, one, the king of Geder, one,14 The king of Hormah, one, the king of Arad, one,15 The king of Libnah, one, the king of Adullam, one,16 The king of Makkedah, one, the king of Bethel, one,17 The king of Tappuah, one, the king of Hepher, one,18 The king of Aphek, one, the king of Lassharon, one,19 The king of Madon, one, the king of Hazor, one,20 The king of Shimron-meron, one, the king of Achshaph, one,21 The king of Taanach, one, the king of Megiddo, one,22 The king of Kadesh, one, the king of Jokneam in Carmel, one,23 The king of Dor, in the height of Dor, one, the king of Goim in Gilgal, one,24 The king of Tirzah, one,All the kings, thirty and one.

1 Estes, pois, são os reis da terra, aos quais os filhos de Israel feriram e possuíram a sua terra dalém do Jordão, ao nascente do sol, desde o ribeiro de Arnom até ao monte Hermom e toda a planície do oriente: 2 Seom, rei dos amorreus, que habitava em Hesbom e que senhoreava desde Aroer, que está à borda do ribeiro de Arnom, e desde o meio do ribeiro, e desde a metade de Gileade, e até ao ribeiro de Jaboque, termo dos filhos de Amom; 3 e desde a campina até ao mar de Quinerete, para o oriente, e até ao mar da Campina, o mar Salgado, para o oriente, pelo caminho de Bete-Jesimote; e desde o sul abaixo de Asdote-Pisga. 4 Como também o termo de Ogue, rei de Basã, que era do resto dos gigantes e que habitava em Astarote e em Edrei; 5 e senhoreava no monte Hermom, e em Salca, e em toda a Basã, até ao termo dos gesureus e dos maacateus e metade de Gileade, termo de Seom, rei de Hesbom. 6 A estes Moisés, servo do Senhor, e os filhos de Israel feriram; e Moisés, servo do Senhor, deu essa terra em possessão aos rubenitas, e aos gaditas, e à meia tribo de Manassés.

7 E estes são os reis da terra aos quais Josué e os filhos de Israel feriram daquém do Jordão, para o ocidente, desde Baal-Gade, no vale do Líbano, até ao monte Calvo, que sobe a Seir; e Josué a deu às tribos de Israel em possessão, segundo as suas divisões, 8 o que havia nas montanhas, e nas planícies, e nas campinas, e nas descidas das águas, e no deserto, e para o sul, entre os heteus, os amorreus, os cananeus, os ferezeus, os heveus, e os jebuseus: 9 o rei de Jericó, um; o rei de Ai, que está ao lado de Betel, outro; 10 o rei de Jerusalém, outro; o rei de Hebrom, outro; 11 o rei de Jarmute, outro; o rei de Laquis, outro; 12 o rei de Eglom, outro; o rei de Gezer, outro; 13 o rei de Debir, outro; o rei de Geder, outro; 14 o rei de Horma, outro; o rei de Arade, outro; 15 o rei de Libna, outro; o rei de Adulão, outro; 16 o rei de Maquedá, outro; o rei de Betel, outro; 17 o rei de Tapua, outro; o rei de Héfer, outro; 18 o rei de Afeca, outro; o rei de Lasarom, outro; 19 o rei de Madom, outro; o rei de Hazor, outro; 20 o rei de Sinrom-Merom, outro; o rei de Acsafe, outro; 21 o rei de Taanaque, outro; o rei de Megido, outro; 22 o rei de Quedes, outro; o rei de Jocneão, no Carmelo, outro; 23 o rei de Dor, em Nafate-Dor, outro; o rei de Goim, em Gilgal, outro; 24 o rei de Tirza, outro; trinta e um reis ao todo.
