1 And, as he was going forth out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto himTeacher! see what manner of stones, and what manner of buildings!2 And, Jesus, said unto himArt thou beholding these great buildings? In nowise, shall there be left here, stone upon stone, which shall, in any wise, not be thrown down.3 And, as he was sitting within the mount of Olives, over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew were questioning him, privately4 Tell us, When, these things, shall be, and, what the sign, when all these things shall be about to be concluded.5 And, Jesus, began to be saying unto themBeware, lest anyone, deceive, you;6 For, many, will come on my name, saying, I, am he! and, will deceive, many.7 And, when ye shall hear of wars, and rumours of wars, be not alarmedit must needs come to pass, but, not yet, is, the end.8 For there will ariseNation against nation, and, kingdom against kingdom,there will be earthquakes in places, there will be famines:9 A beginning of birth-pangs, are these things. But be, ye, taking heed, unto yourselves: they will deliver you up into high-councils, and, in synagogues, shall ye be beaten,and, before governors and kings, shall ye be set, for my sake, for a witness unto them.10 And, unto all the nations, first, must needs be proclaimed, the glad-message.11 And, when they are leading you, as they are delivering you up, be not beforehand anxious, what ye shall speak; but, whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, the same, speak,for, ye, are not the speakers, but the Holy Spirit.12 And, brother, will deliver up, brother, unto death, and, father, child, and, children, will rise up, against parents, and put them to death;13 And ye will be men hated by all, because of my name; but, he that hath endured throughout, the same, shall be saved.14 But, when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, standing where it ought not, he that readeth, let him, think, then, they who are in Judaea, let them flee into the mountains;15 He that is on the house-top, let him not come down, neither let him enter, to take away anything out of his louse;16 And, he that hath gone into the field, let him not turn back unto the things behind, to take away his mantle.17 But alas for the women with child, and for them who are giving suck,in those days.18 But be praying, that it may not happen in winter.19 For in those days shall be a tribulationsuch, that there hath not happened, the like, from the beginning of creation which God created, until the present time, and shall in nowise happen.20 And, save that the Lord hath shortened the days, no flesh should be saved; but, for the sake of the chosen of whom he hath made choice, he hath shortened the days.21 And, then, if any, unto you, saySee! Here, is the Christ! See! there, do not believe it;22 For there will arise, false Christs, and false prophets; and they will show signs and wonders, so as to deceive, if possible, the chosen.23 But, ye, beware: I have foretold you, all things.24 But, in those days, after that tribulation, the sun, shall be darkened, and, the moon, will not give her brightness,25 And, the stars, will, out of the heavens, be falling,and, the powers which are in the heavens, will be shaken;26 And, then, will they see the Son of Mancoming in clouds, with great power and glory.27 And, then, will he send forth the messengers, and they will gather together his chosenout of the four winds, from utmost bound of earth, unto utmost bound of heaven.28 Now, from the fig-tree, learn ye, the parable:When, already, her young branch, becometh tender, and, the leaves, are sprouting, ye observe that, near, is, the summer:29 Thus, ye also, when ye shall see these things coming to pass, observe ye, that, near, he is, at the doors.30 Verily, I say unto youIn nowise, shall this generation pass away, until all these things, shall happen:31 The heaven and the earth, shall pass away, but, my words, shall not pass away.32 But, concerning that day or hour, no one, knoweth, neither the messengers in heaven, nor the Son,save the Father.33 Be taking heed, be watching, for ye know not, when, the season is :34 As a man from homehaving left his house, and given his servants the authority, to each one, his work,and, unto the porter, hath given command, that he should watch:35 Be watching, therefore, for ye know not, when, the master of the house, is coming,whether at even, or at midnight, or at cock-crowing, or at early morn;36 Lest, coming suddenly, he find you, sleeping.37 But, what, unto you, I say, unto all, I say:Be watching.

1 E, saindo ele do templo, disse-lhe um dos seus discípulos: Mestre, olha que pedras e que edifícios! 2 E, respondendo Jesus, disse-lhe: Vês estes grandes edifícios? Não ficará pedra sobre pedra que não seja derribada.

3 E, assentando-se ele no monte das Oliveiras, defronte do templo, Pedro, e Tiago, e João, e André lhe perguntaram em particular: 4 Dize-nos quando serão essas coisas e que sinal haverá quando todas elas estiverem para se cumprir. 5 E Jesus, respondendo-lhes, começou a dizer: Olhai que ninguém vos engane, 6 porque muitos virão em meu nome, dizendo: Eu sou o Cristo; e enganarão a muitos. 7 E, quando ouvirdes de guerras e de rumores de guerras, não vos perturbeis, porque assim deve acontecer; mas ainda não será o fim. 8 Porque se levantará nação contra nação, e reino, contra reino, e haverá terremotos em diversos lugares, e haverá fomes. Isso será o princípio de dores.

9 Mas olhai por vós mesmos, porque vos entregarão aos concílios e às sinagogas; sereis açoitados e sereis apresentados ante governadores e reis, por amor de mim, para lhes servir de testemunho. 10 Mas importa que o evangelho seja primeiramente pregado entre todas as nações: 11 Quando, pois, vos conduzirem para vos entregarem, não estejais solícitos de antemão pelo que haveis de dizer; mas o que vos for dado naquela hora, isso falai; porque não sois vós os que falais, mas o Espírito Santo. 12 E o irmão entregará à morte o irmão, e o pai, o filho; e levantar-se-ão os filhos contra os pais e os farão morrer. 13 E sereis aborrecidos por todos por amor do meu nome; mas quem perseverar até ao fim, esse será salvo.

14 Ora, quando vós virdes a abominação do assolamento, que foi predito, estar onde não deve estar (quem lê, que entenda), então, os que estiverem na Judeia, que fujam para os montes; 15 e o que estiver sobre o telhado, que não desça para casa, nem entre a tomar coisa alguma de sua casa; 16 e o que estiver no campo, que não volte atrás, para tomar a sua veste. 17 Mas ai das grávidas e das que criarem naqueles dias! 18 Orai, pois, para que a vossa fuga não suceda no inverno, 19 porque, naqueles dias, haverá uma aflição tal, qual nunca houve desde o princípio da criação, que Deus criou, até agora, nem jamais haverá. 20 E, se o Senhor não abreviasse aqueles dias, nenhuma carne se salvaria; mas, por causa dos escolhidos que escolheu, abreviou aqueles dias. 21 E, então, se alguém vos disser: Eis aqui o Cristo, ou: Ei-lo ali, não acrediteis. 22 Porque se levantarão falsos cristos e falsos profetas e farão sinais e prodígios, para enganarem, se for possível, até os escolhidos. 23 Mas vós vede; eis que de antemão vos tenho dito tudo.

24 Ora, naqueles dias, depois daquela aflição, o sol se escurecerá, e a lua não dará a sua luz. 25 E as estrelas cairão do céu, e as forças que estão nos céus serão abaladas. 26 E, então, verão vir o Filho do Homem nas nuvens, com grande poder e glória. 27 E ele enviará os seus anjos e ajuntará os seus escolhidos, desde os quatro ventos, da extremidade da terra até a extremidade do céu.

28 Aprendei, pois, a parábola da figueira: quando já o seu ramo se torna tenro, e brotam folhas, bem sabeis que já está próximo o verão. 29 Assim também vós, quando virdes sucederem essas coisas, sabei que já está perto, às portas. 30 Na verdade vos digo que não passará esta geração sem que todas essas coisas aconteçam. 31 Passará o céu e a terra, mas as minhas palavras não passarão.

32 Mas, daquele Dia e hora, ninguém sabe, nem os anjos que estão no céu, nem o Filho, senão o Pai.

33 Olhai, vigiai e orai, porque não sabeis quando chegará o tempo. 34 É como se um homem, partindo para fora da terra, deixasse a sua casa, e desse autoridade aos seus servos, e a cada um, a sua obra, e mandasse ao porteiro que vigiasse. 35 Vigiai, pois, porque não sabeis quando virá o senhor da casa; se à tarde, se à meia-noite, se ao cantar do galo, se pela manhã, 36 para que, vindo de improviso, não vos ache dormindo. 37 E as coisas que vos digo digo-as a todos: Vigiai.
