1 Es begab sich aber, daß er am zweiten Sabbat durch die Saat ging; und seine Jünger streiften Ähren ab, zerrieben sie mit den Händen und aßen sie. 2 Da sagten etliche von den Pharisäern zu ihnen: Warum tut ihr, was am Sabbat nicht erlaubt ist? 3 Und Jesus antwortete und sprach zu ihnen: Habt ihr das nie gelesen, was David tat, als ihn und seine Gefährten hungerte? 4 Wie er in das Haus Gottes hineinging und die Schaubrote nahm und aß und auch seinen Gefährten davon gab; welche doch niemand essen darf, als nur die Priester? 5 Und er sprach zu ihnen: Des Menschen Sohn ist auch Herr des Sabbats. 6 Es begab sich aber an einem andern Sabbat, daß er in eine Synagoge ging und lehrte; und daselbst war ein Mensch, dessen rechte Hand verdorrt war. 7 Aber die Schriftgelehrten und Pharisäer gaben acht auf ihn, ob er am Sabbat heilen würde, um einen Grund zur Anklage wider ihn zu finden. 8 Er aber merkte ihre Gedanken und sprach zu dem Menschen, der die verdorrte Hand hatte: Steh auf und stelle dich in die Mitte! Und er stand auf und stellte sich dahin. 9 Da sprach Jesus zu ihnen: Ich frage euch: Ist es erlaubt, am Sabbat Gutes zu tun oder Böses zu tun, das Leben zu retten oder zu verderben? 10 Und indem er sie alle ringsumher ansah, sprach er zu ihm: Strecke deine Hand aus! Der aber tat es, und seine Hand wurde wieder gesund, wie die andere. 11 Sie aber wurden ganz unsinnig und besprachen sich miteinander, was sie doch Jesus antun könnten. 12 Es begab sich aber in diesen Tagen, daß er hinausging auf den Berg, um zu beten, und er verharrte die Nacht hindurch im Gebet zu Gott. 13 Und als es Tag geworden, rief er seine Jünger herzu und erwählte aus ihnen zwölf, die er auch Apostel nannte: 14 Simon, den er auch Petrus nannte, und dessen Bruder Andreas, Jakobus und Johannes, Philippus und Bartholomäus, 15 Matthäus und Thomas, Jakobus, den Sohn des Alphäus, und Simon, genannt Zelotes, 16 Judas, den Sohn des Jakobus, und Judas Ischariot, der zum Verräter wurde. 17 Und er stieg mit ihnen hinab und stellte sich auf einen ebenen Platz mit einer großen Schar seiner Jünger und einer großen Menge Volkes aus ganz Judäa und von Jerusalem und von der Meeresküste, von Tyrus und Zidon, die gekommen waren, um ihn zu hören und geheilt zu werden von ihren Krankheiten; 18 und die, welche von unreinen Geistern geplagt waren, wurden geheilt. 19 Und alles Volk suchte ihn anzurühren, denn Kraft ging von ihm aus und heilte alle. 20 Und er hob seine Augen auf über seine Jünger und sprach: Selig seid ihr Armen; denn das Reich Gottes ist euer! 21 Selig seid ihr, die ihr jetzt hungert; denn ihr sollt gesättigt werden! Selig seid ihr, die ihr jetzt weinet; denn ihr werdet lachen! 22 Selig seid ihr, wenn euch die Menschen hassen, und wenn sie euch ausschließen und schmähen und euren Namen als einen lasterhaften verwerfen um des Menschensohnes willen. 23 Freuet euch alsdann und hüpfet! Denn siehe, euer Lohn ist groß im Himmel. Denn ebenso haben ihre Väter den Propheten getan. 24 Aber wehe euch, ihr Reichen, denn ihr habt euren Trost dahin! 25 Wehe euch, die ihr jetzt satt seid; denn ihr werdet hungern! Wehe euch, die ihr jetzt lachet, denn ihr werdet trauern und weinen! 26 Wehe euch, wenn alle Leute wohl von euch reden! Ebenso taten ihre Väter den falschen Propheten. 27 Euch aber, die ihr zuhöret, sage ich: Liebet eure Feinde, tut wohl denen, die euch hassen; 28 segnet, die euch fluchen, und bittet für die, welche euch beleidigen! 29 Dem, der dich auf den Backen schlägt, biete auch den andern dar, und dem, der dir den Mantel nimmt, verweigere auch den Rock nicht. 30 Gib jedem, der dich bittet, und von dem, der dir das Deine nimmt, fordere es nicht zurück. 31 Und wie ihr wollt, daß euch die Leute tun sollen, tut auch ihr ihnen gleicherweise. 32 Und wenn ihr die liebet, die euch lieben, was für eine Gnade habt ihr? Denn auch die Sünder lieben ihre Liebhaber. 33 Und wenn ihr euren Wohltätern Gutes tut, was für eine Gnade habt ihr? Denn auch die Sünder tun dasselbe. 34 Und wenn ihr denen leihet, von welchen ihr wieder zu empfangen hoffet, was für eine Gnade habt ihr? Denn auch die Sünder leihen den Sündern, um das Gleiche wieder zu empfangen. 35 Vielmehr liebet eure Feinde und tut Gutes und leihet, ohne etwas dafür zu erhoffen; so wird euer Lohn groß sein, und ihr werdet Kinder des Höchsten sein; denn er ist gütig gegen die Undankbaren und Bösen. 36 Darum seid barmherzig, wie auch euer Vater barmherzig ist. 37 Und richtet nicht, so werdet ihr nicht gerichtet; verurteilet nicht, so werdet ihr nicht verurteilt; sprechet los, so werdet ihr losgesprochen werden! 38 Gebet, so wird euch gegeben werden; ein gutes, vollgedrücktes, gerütteltes und überfließendes Maß wird man euch in den Schoß geben. Denn mit eben dem Maße, mit welchem ihr messet, wird euch wieder gemessen werden. 39 Er sagte ihnen aber ein Gleichnis: Kann auch ein Blinder einen Blinden führen? Werden nicht beide in die Grube fallen? 40 Der Jünger ist nicht über dem Meister; wenn er aber ganz vollendet ist, so wird er sein wie sein Meister. 41 Was siehst du aber den Splitter in deines Bruders Auge, den Balken aber in deinem eigenen Auge bemerkst du nicht? 42 Oder wie kannst du zu deinem Bruder sagen: Bruder, halt, ich will den Splitter herausziehen, der in deinem Auge ist, während du doch den Balken in deinem Auge nicht siehst? Du Heuchler, ziehe zuerst den Balken aus deinem Auge, und dann magst du sehen, wie du den Splitter herausziehst, der in deines Bruders Auge ist! 43 Denn es gibt keinen guten Baum, der schlechte Frucht bringt, noch einen schlechten Baum, der gute Frucht bringt. 44 Denn jeder Baum wird an seiner Frucht erkannt; denn von Dornen sammelt man keine Feigen, und vom Dornbusch liest man keine Trauben. 45 Der gute Mensch bringt aus dem guten Schatze seines Herzens das Gute hervor, und der böse Mensch bringt aus dem bösen [Schatze seines Herzens] das Böse hervor. Denn wes das Herz voll ist, des geht sein Mund über. 46 Was heißet ihr mich aber «Herr, Herr» und tut nicht, was ich sage? 47 Jeder, der zu mir kommt und meine Worte hört und sie tut, ich will euch zeigen, wem er gleich ist. 48 Er ist einem Menschen gleich, der ein Haus baute und dazu tief grub und den Grund auf den Felsen legte. Als nun eine Überschwemmung entstand, da prallte der Strom an dieses Haus und vermochte es nicht zu erschüttern, weil es gut gegründet war. 49 Wer aber hört und nicht tut, der ist einem Menschen gleich, der ein Haus auf das Erdreich baute ohne Grund; und der Strom prallte an dasselbe, und es brach sofort zusammen, und der Zusammenbruch dieses Hauses war groß.
