1 Se, portanto, fostes ressuscitados juntamente com Cristo, buscai as coisas lá de cima, onde Cristo está, sentado à destra de Deus;2 pensai nas coisas lá de cima, não nas que estão sobre a terra.3 Pois morrestes, e a vossa vida está escondida com Cristo em Deus;4 quando Cristo, que é a nossa vida, for manifestado, então vós também sereis manifestados com ele na glória.5 Mortificai, pois, os vossos membros que estão sobre a terra: a fornicação, a imundícia, a paixão, a má concupiscência e a avareza, que é idolatria,6 pelas quais coisas vem a ira de Deus;7 e nas quais também vós andastes em outro tempo, quando vivíeis nelas.8 Mas agora deixai também vós todas estas coisas: a ira, a cólera, a malícia, a calúnia, a palavra torpe da vossa boca;9 não mintais uns aos outros, tendo-vos despido do homem velho com os seus feitos,10 e tendo-vos revestido do homem novo que se renova para o pleno conhecimento segundo a imagem daquele que o criou.11 Aqui não pode haver grego nem judeu, circuncisão nem incircuncisão, bárbaro, cita, escravo, livre, mas Cristo é tudo e em todas as coisas.12 Vós, portanto, como escolhidos de Deus, santos e amados, revesti-vos de coração compassivo, de benignidade, humildade, mansidão, longanimidade,13 suportando-vos uns aos outros e perdoando-vos mutuamente, se alguém tiver queixa contra outro. Assim como ainda o Senhor vos perdoou a vós, assim o fazei também vós;14 e sobre tudo isto revesti-vos do amor que é o vínculo da perfeição.15 Reine em vossos corações a paz de Cristo, à qual também fostes chamados em um só corpo: e sede agradecidos.16 A palavra de Cristo habite em vós ricamente, em toda a sabedoria, instruindo e admoestando-vos uns aos outros com salmos, hinos e cânticos espirituais, com gratidão louvando a Deus em vossos corações.17 Tudo quanto fizerdes, quer de palavras quer de obras, fazei tudo em nome do Senhor Jesus, dando por ele graças a Deus Pai.18 Mulheres, estai sujeitas a vossos maridos como convém no Senhor.19 Maridos, amai a vossas mulheres, e não as trateis asperamente.20 Filhos, obedecei a vossos pais em tudo, pois isto é agradável no Senhor.21 Pais, não irriteis a vossos filhos, para que não fiquem desanimados.22 Servos, em tudo obedecei a vossos senhores segundo a carne, não servindo somente à vista como para agradar a homens, mas em sinceridade de coração, temendo ao Senhor.23 Tudo o que fizerdes, fazei-o de coração como ao Senhor, e não aos homens,24 sabendo que do Senhor recebereis a recompensa da herança. Estais servindo a Cristo o Senhor;25 pois aquele que faz injustiça, receberá a paga do que fez injustamente, e Deus não se deixa levar de respeitos humanos.

1 Therefore, if you have been raised with Christ, keep focusing on the things that are above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.2 Keep your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on the earth.3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.4 When Christ your life is revealed, then you, too, will be revealed with him in glory.5 So put to death your worldly impulses: sexual sin, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed (which is idolatry).6 It is because of these things that the wrath of God is coming on those who are disobedient.7 You used to behave like them when you were living among them.8 But now you must also get rid of anger, wrath, malice, slander, obscene language from your mouth, and all such sins.9 Do not lie to one another, for you have stripped off the old man with its practices10 and have clothed yourselves with the new man, which is being renewed into full knowledge according to the image of the one who created it.11 Where this happens, there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave, or free person. Instead, Christ is all and in all.12 Therefore, as God's chosen ones, holy and loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.13 Put up with one another and forgive each other if anyone has a complaint against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, you also should forgive.14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which ties everything together in unity.15 Let the peace of Christ also rule in your hearts, to which you were called in one body, and be thankful.16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you with all richness and wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, and singing to God with thankfulness in your hearts.17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.18 Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.19 Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.21 Fathers, do not make your children resentful, lest they become discouraged.22 Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything, not only while being watched in order to please them, but with a sincere heart, fearing the Lord.23 Whatever you do, work at it wholeheartedly as though you were doing it for the Lord and not merely for people.24 You know that it is from the Lord that you will receive the inheritance as a reward. It is the Lord Christ whom you are serving!25 For the person who does what is wrong will be paid back for what he has done, and there is no favoritism.
