Isaías 62

A glória de Sião e o seu novo nome

1 Por amor de Sião, não me calarei; e, por amor de Jerusalém, não descansarei, até que saia a sua *Is 1.26;58.8;61.11justiça como um resplendor, a sua *Is 46.13;52.10salvação, como uma tocha acesa. 2 As *Is 60.3nações verão a tua justiça, e todos os reis, a tua glória; e serás chamado por *Is 62.4,12;56.5;65.15um novo nome, que a boca de Jeová ordenará. 3 Também serás *Is 28.5;Zc 9.16;1Ts 2.19uma coroa de adorno na mão de Jeová e um diadema real na mão do teu Deus. 4 Não serás chamada dali em diante Desamparada, nem a tua terra será mais chamada *Is 54.6-7;60.15,18Desolada, mas serás chamada Hefezi-Bá, e a tua terra, Beulá, porque *Jr 32.41;Sf 3.17Jeová se deleita em ti, e a tua terra será *Jr 3.14;Os 2.19-20casada. 5 Porque, como o mancebo se casa com a donzela, assim teus filhos se casarão contigo; e, como o noivo se alegra da noiva, assim o teu Deus *Is 65.19se alegrará de ti.

6 Tenho posto *Is 52.8;Jr 6.17;Ez 3.17;33.7vigias sobre os teus muros, ó Jerusalém; eles não se calarão jamais em todo o dia nem em toda a noite; não descanseis, *Sl 74.2;Jr 14.21;Lm 5.1-20vós os que fazeis lembrar a Jeová, 7 *Mt 15.21-28;Lc 18.1-8e não lhe deis a ele descanso, até que estabeleça e até que ponha a *Is 60.18;Jr 33.9;Sf 3.19-20Jerusalém por objeto de louvor na terra. 8 *Is 45.23;54.9Jeová jurou pela sua destra e pelo braço da sua fortaleza, dizendo: Certamente, *Is 1.7;Lv 26.16;Dt 28.31,33;Jz 6.3-6;Jr 5.17não darei mais o teu trigo por comida aos teus inimigos; e não beberão estrangeiros o teu vinho em que trabalhaste. 9 Mas os que o tiverem *Is 65.13,21-23recolhido o comerão; e os que o tiverem recolhido o beberão nos átrios do meu santuário.

10 Passai, *Is 26.1;60.11,18passai pelas portas; preparai o caminho ao povo; *Is 57.14aterrai, aterrai *Is 11.16;19.23;35.8;49.11a estrada; tirai as pedras; arvorai um *Is 11.10,12;49.22estandarte aos povos. 11 Eis que Jeová fez ouvir até *Is 42.10;49.6os confins da terra estas palavras: *Mt 21.5;Zc 9.9Dizei à filha de Sião: Eis que vem *Is 51.5o teu Salvador; *Is 40.10eis que o seu galardão está com ele, e a sua recompensa, diante dele. 12 Chamar-lhes-ão *Is 4.3;Dt 7.6;1Pe 2.9o povo santo, *Is 35.9;51.10os remidos de Jeová; e tu serás chamada Buscada, *Is 62.4;41.17;42.16Cidade-Não-Desamparada.

1 For Zion’s sake will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth. 2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name. 3 Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God. 4 Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzi-bah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.*62.4 Hephzi-bah: that is, My delight is in her*62.4 Beulah: that is, Married

5 For as a young man marrieth a virgin, so shall thy sons marry thee: and as the bridegroom rejoiceth over the bride, so shall thy God rejoice over thee.*62.5 as the…: Heb. with the joy of the bridegroom

6 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence,*62.6 make…: or, are the LORD’s remembrancers 7 And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.*62.7 rest: Heb. silence 8 The LORD hath sworn by his right hand, and by the arm of his strength, Surely I will no more give thy corn to be meat for thine enemies; and the sons of the stranger shall not drink thy wine, for the which thou hast laboured:*62.8 Surely…: Heb. If I give, etc 9 But they that have gathered it shall eat it, and praise the LORD; and they that have brought it together shall drink it in the courts of my holiness.

10 Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people. 11 Behold, the LORD hath proclaimed unto the end of the world, Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Behold, thy salvation cometh; behold, his reward is with him, and his work before him.*62.11 work: or, recompence 12 And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of the LORD: and thou shalt be called, Sought out, A city not forsaken.
