Apocalipse 16

A primeira praga

1 Ouvi uma grande voz, vinda do *Ap 11.19santuário, dizendo aos *Ap 15.1sete anjos: Ide e *Ap 16.2ss.;Sl 79.6;Jr 10.25;Ez 22.31;Sf 3.8derramai sobre a terra as *cp.Ap 5.8sete taças da ira de Deus.

2 Foi o primeiro e derramou a sua taça *cp.Ap 8.7sobre a terra. Veio uma *Ap 16.11; cp.Êx 9.9-11;Dt 28.35chaga cruel e maligna sobre os homens *Ap 13.15-17;14.9que tinham a marca da besta e sobre os que adoravam a sua imagem.

A segunda praga

3 Derramou o segundo anjo a sua taça *cp.Ap 8.8s.;Êx 7.17-21; cp.Ap 11.6sobre o mar. O mar tornou-se em sangue como de um morto, e morreu toda alma vivente das que estavam no mar.

A terceira praga

4 Derramou o terceiro a sua taça sobre *Ap 8.10os rios e sobre as fontes das águas. Estas *Êx 7.17-20; cp.Ap 11.6se converteram em sangue. 5 E ouvi o anjo das águas dizendo: *Jo 17.25Tu és justo, tu *Ap 11.17que és e que eras, *Ap 15.4o Santo, porque isso *Ap 6.10julgaste; 6 pois derramaram *Ap 18.24; cp.17.6sangue de santos e de profetas, e tu lhes tens dado *cp.Is 49.26;Lc 11.49-51sangue a beber; eles o merecem. 7 Ouvi *Ap 6.9;14.18o altar dizendo: Certamente, *Ap 1.8Senhor Deus, Todo-Poderoso, *Ap 19.2; cp.15.3verdadeiros e justos são os teus juízos.

A quarta praga

8 O quarto derramou a sua taça sobre *cp.Ap 6.12o sol. *cp.Ap 14.18Foi-lhe permitido queimar os homens com fogo. 9 Os homens foram queimados com grande calor, e eles *Ap 16.11,21blasfemaram o nome de Deus, que tinha poder sobre essas pragas; *Ap 2.21e não se arrependeram para *Ap 11.13lhe darem glória.

A quinta praga

10 O quinto derramou a sua taça sobre *Ap 13.2o trono da besta. O seu reino foi mergulhado *cp.8.12;9.2;Êx 10.21s.;Is 8.22em trevas, e os homens mordiam, de dor, as suas línguas, 11 e blasfemaram *Ap 11.13o Deus do céu, por causa das suas dores e das suas chagas; e não se arrependeram das suas obras.

A sexta praga

12 O sexto derramou a sua taça sobre o *Ap 9.14grande rio Eufrates. *cp.Is 11.15s.;44.27;Jr 51.32,36Secaram-se as suas águas, para *cp.Is 41.2,25;46.11que fosse preparado o caminho para os reis vindos *Ap 7.2do oriente. 13 Vi, saindo da boca do *Ap 12.3dragão, e da boca da *Ap 13.1besta, e da boca do *Ap 19.20;20.10; cp.13.11,14falso profeta, três *Ap 18.2espíritos imundos semelhantes a *cp.Êx 8.6rãs; 14 pois estes são *cp.1Tm 4.1espíritos de demônios, *Ap 13.13fazendo milagres, que saem ao encontro dos reis do *Ap 3.10mundo inteiro, *Ap 20.8; cp.17.14;19.19;1Rs 22.21-23para os ajuntar para a guerra do *Ap 6.17Grande Dia do Deus Todo-Poderoso 15 (Eis que *Ap 3.3,11venho como ladrão; *Lc 12.37bem-aventurado aquele que vigia e que guarda as suas vestes, *Ap 3.18para que não ande nu, e vejam a sua vergonha.) 16 Eles *Ap 19.19os ajuntaram no lugar chamado, *Ap 9.11em hebraico, *Jz 5.19;2Rs 23.29s.;2Cr 35.22; cp.Zc 12.11Armagedom.

A sétima praga

17 O sétimo derramou a sua taça no *cp.Ef 2.2ar. Saiu uma *Ap 11.15grande voz do *Ap 14.15santuário, da banda do trono, dizendo: *Ap 21.6; cp.10.6Está feito! 18 Sobrevieram *Ap 4.5relâmpagos, vozes e trovões, e houve um *Ap 6.12grande terremoto, tão grande e tão forte, *Dn 12.1;Mt 24.21como nunca houve semelhante desde que existiram homens sobre a terra. 19 *Ap 17.18;18.10,18-19,21; cp.11.8A grande cidade foi dividida em três partes, e as cidades das nações caíram. *Ap 18.5Deus lembrou-se da *Ap 14.8grande Babilônia, para lhe dar a beber *Ap 14.10o cálice do vinho do furor da sua ira. 20 *Ap 6.14; cp.20.11Toda a ilha fugiu, e os montes não foram achados. 21 Uma *Ap 11.19; cp.8.7grande chuva de pedras, cada pedra quase do peso de um talento, caiu do céu sobre os homens; e os homens *Ap 16.9,11blasfemaram de Deus, por causa da praga da chuva de pedras, pois a sua *cp.Êx 9.18-25praga era grande em extremo.

1 I heard a loud voice out of the temple, saying to the seven angels, "Go and pour out the seven bowls of the wrath of God on the earth!"

2 The first went, and poured out his bowl into the earth, and it became a harmful and painful sore on the people who had the mark of the beast, and who worshiped his image.

3 The second angel poured out his bowl into the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man. Every living thing in the sea died.

4 The third poured out his bowl into the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood. 5 I heard the angel of the waters saying, "You are righteous, who are and who were, O Holy One, because you have judged these things. 6 For they poured out the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. They deserve this."

7 I heard the altar saying, "Yes, Lord God, the Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments."

8 The fourth poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given to him to scorch men with fire. 9 People were scorched with great heat, and people blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues. They didn’t repent and give him glory.

10 The fifth poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom was darkened. They gnawed their tongues because of the pain, 11 and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores. They still didn’t repent of their works.

12 The sixth poured out his bowl on the great river, the Euphrates. Its water was dried up, that the way might be prepared for the kings that come from the sunrise.*16:12 or, east 13 I saw coming out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits, something like frogs; 14 for they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the whole inhabited earth, to gather them together for the war of that great day of God the Almighty.

15 "Behold, I come like a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his clothes, so that he doesn’t walk naked, and they see his shame." 16 He gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew, "Harmagedon".

17 The seventh poured out his bowl into the air. A loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, "It is done!" 18 There were lightnings, sounds, and thunders; and there was a great earthquake such as has not happened since there were men on the earth—so great an earthquake and so mighty. 19 The great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the great was remembered in the sight of God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. 20 Every island fled away, and the mountains were not found. 21 Great hailstones, about the weight of a talent,*16:21 A talent is about 30 kilograms or 66 pounds. came down out of the sky on people. People blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, for this plague was exceedingly severe.
