A alegria e o triunfo nos céus

1 Depois disso, ouvi no céu uma como *Ap 19.6;Ap 11.15; cp.Jr 51.48grande voz de uma imensa multidão dizendo:

*Ap 19.3-4,6;Sl 104.35, etc.Aleluia! *Ap 7.10A salvação, e *cp.Ap 4.11a glória, e o poder pertencem a nosso Deus,

2 porque *Ap 16.7verdadeiros e justos são os seus *cp.Ap 6.10juízos; pois ele condenou a *Ap 17.1grande prostituta que corrompia a terra com a sua fornicação e, das mãos dela *Ap 18.20;16.6;Dt 32.43;2Rs 9.7vingou o sangue dos seus servos. 3 Outra vez disseram: Aleluia! *Ap 14.11O fumo dela sobe pelos séculos dos séculos. 4 Então, os *Ap 4.4,10vinte e quatro anciãos e *Ap 4.6as quatro criaturas viventes *Ap 4.10prostraram-se e adoraram a Deus, que está sentado sobre o trono, dizendo: *Ap 5.14; cp.Sl 106.48Amém! *Ap 19.3,6;Sl 104.35, etc.Aleluia! 5 Saiu do trono uma voz, dizendo:

*Sl 134.1;135.1Dai louvores a nosso Deus, todos vós os seus servos *Ap 11.18e os que o temeis, pequenos e grandes.

6 Ouvi uma voz como *Ap 19.1;Ap 11.15; cp.Jr 51.48a voz de uma grande multidão, e como *Ap 1.15a voz de muitas águas, e como *Ap 6.1a voz de fortes trovões, dizendo:

Aleluia! Porque *cp.Ap 1.8o Senhor, nosso Deus, o Todo-Poderoso, reina.

7 Alegremo-nos, e exultemos, *Ap 11.13e demos-lhe a glória, porque *Ap 19.9;Mt 22.2;25.10;Lc 12.36, etc.;Jo 3.29;Ef 5.23,32são chegadas as bodas do Cordeiro, *Ap 21.2; cp.Mt 1.20;Ap 21.9e sua esposa já se preparou, 8 e foi-lhe permitido vestir-se de *Ap 19.14; cp.15.6linho finíssimo, resplandecente e puro. Pois o linho finíssimo são *cp.Ap 15.4os atos da justiça dos santos. 9 *cp.Ap 19.10;Ap 17.1Disse-me ele: *cp.Ap 1.19Escreve: *Lc 14.15; cp.22.16Bem-aventurados os que têm sido chamados à ceia das bodas do Cordeiro. Disse-me ainda: *cp.Ap 17.17;21.5;22.6Estas são verdadeiras palavras de Deus. 10 Então, *Ap 22.8prostrei-me ante os seus pés para o adorar. *Ap 22.9;At 10.26Ele me disse: Vê, não faças tal; *Ap 1.1s.sou servo contigo e com teus irmãos *Ap 12.17que guardam o testemunho de Jesus; adora a Deus. Pois o testemunho de Jesus é o espírito da profecia.

As vitórias de Cristo sobre a besta e sobre o falso profeta

11 Vi *cp.Ap 4.1;Jo 1.51o céu aberto e um *Ap 19.19,21;Ap 6.2cavalo branco. O que estava montado sobre ele chamava-se *Ap 3.14Fiel e Verdadeiro, e, com *Is 11.4justiça, julga, e peleja. 12 Os seus *Ap 1.14olhos eram chama de fogo, e na sua cabeça estavam muitos *cp.Ap 6.2;12.3diademas; tinha um *Ap 19.16;Ap 2.17nome escrito que ninguém sabe, senão ele mesmo. 13 Vestia *Is 63.3uma capa imersa no sangue, e o seu nome se chama *Jo 1.1o Verbo de Deus. 14 Os exércitos que estão no céu seguiam-no montados em cavalos brancos e vestidos de linho finíssimo, *cp.Ap 3.4;Ap 19.8branco e puro. 15 *Ap 1.16;Ap 19.21Da sua boca saía uma espada afiada para *cp.Is 11.4;2Ts 2.8com ela ferir as nações; ele *Ap 2.27as regerá com uma vara de ferro e ele *Ap 14.19-20é o que pisa o lagar do vinho do furor da ira do Deus Todo-Poderoso. 16 Ele traz sobre a sua capa e sobre a sua coxa este nome escrito: *Ap 17.14REI DOS REIS E SENHOR DOS SENHORES.

17 Vi um anjo em pé no sol. Ele clamou em alta voz *Ap 19.21a todos os pássaros que voam *Ap 8.13pelo meio do céu: *Jr 12.9;Ez 39.17; cp.1Sm 17.44Vinde, reuni-vos para a *cp.Is 34.6;Jr 46.10grande ceia de Deus, 18 para *cp.Ez 39.18-20comerdes carnes de reis, e carnes de quiliarcas, e carnes de poderosos, e carnes de cavalos, e dos que estão montados sobre eles, e carnes de todos os homens, *cp.Ap 6.15livres e escravos, *Ap 11.18;13.16; cp.Ap 19.5pequenos e grandes.

19 Vi *Ap 11.7; vd.13.1a besta, e *Ap 16.14,16os reis da terra, e os seus exércitos reunidos para fazerem guerra àquele que *Ap 19.11,21estava montado sobre o cavalo e ao seu exército. 20 A besta foi presa, e, com ela, *Ap 16.13o falso profeta que *Ap 13.13fez os milagres *Ap 13.12diante dela, com os quais *Ap 13.14seduziu aos que receberam *Ap 13.16s.a marca da besta e que *Ap 13.15;19.12adoraram a sua imagem; esses dois foram lançados vivos no *Ap 20.10,14s.;21.8lago do *Ap 14.10; cp.Is 30.33;Dn 7.11fogo que arde com enxofre. 21 Os outros foram mortos pela espada que *Ap 19.15saía da boca daquele que *Ap 19.11,19estava montado sobre o cavalo; *Ap 19.17e todas as aves se fartaram das carnes deles.

1 After these things I heard something like a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, "Hallelujah! Salvation, power, and glory belong to our God; 2 for his judgments are true and righteous. For he has judged the great prostitute who corrupted the earth with her sexual immorality, and he has avenged the blood of his servants at her hand."

3 A second said, "Hallelujah! Her smoke goes up forever and ever." 4 The twenty-four elders and the four living creatures fell down and worshiped God who sits on the throne, saying, "Amen! Hallelujah!"

5 A voice came from the throne, saying, "Give praise to our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, the small and the great!"

6 I heard something like the voice of a great multitude, and like the voice of many waters, and like the voice of mighty thunders, saying, "Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns! 7 Let’s rejoice and be exceedingly glad, and let’s give the glory to him. For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his wife has made herself ready." 8 It was given to her that she would array herself in bright, pure, fine linen, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

9 He said to me, "Write, ‘Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb.’" He said to me, "These are true words of God."

10 I fell down before his feet to worship him. He said to me, "Look! Don’t do it! I am a fellow bondservant with you and with your brothers who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy."

11 I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it is called Faithful and True. In righteousness he judges and makes war. 12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has names written and a name written which no one knows but he himself. 13 He is clothed in a garment sprinkled with blood. His name is called "The Word of God." 14 The armies which are in heaven, clothed in white, pure, fine linen, followed him on white horses. 15 Out of his mouth proceeds a sharp, double-edged sword that with it he should strike the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod.✝19:15 Psalms 2:9 He treads the wine press of the fierceness of the wrath of God, the Almighty. 16 He has on his garment and on his thigh a name written, "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS."

17 I saw an angel standing in the sun. He cried with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in the sky, "Come! Be gathered together to the great supper of God,*19:17 TR reads "supper of the great God" instead of "great supper of God" 18 that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses and of those who sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, small and great." 19 I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him who sat on the horse and against his army. 20 The beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked the signs in his sight, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur. 21 The rest were killed with the sword of him who sat on the horse, the sword which came out of his mouth. So all the birds were filled with their flesh.
