1 Paulo, apóstolo de Jesus Cristo, pela vontade de Deus, aos cristãos de Éfeso e aos que crêem em Jesus Cristo.2 A vós, graça e paz da parte de Deus, nosso Pai, e da parte do Senhor Jesus Cristo!3 Bendito seja Deus, Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, que do alto do céu nos abençoou com toda a bênção espiritual em Cristo,4 e nos escolheu nele antes da criação do mundo, para sermos santos e irrepreensíveis, diante de seus olhos.5 No seu amor nos predestinou para sermos adotados como filhos seus por Jesus Cristo, segundo o beneplácito de sua livre vontade,6 para fazer resplandecer a sua maravilhosa graça, que nos foi concedida por ele no Bem-amado.7 Nesse Filho, pelo seu sangue, temos a Redenção, a remissão dos pecados, segundo as riquezas da sua graça8 que derramou profusamente sobre nós, em torrentes de sabedoria e de prudência.9 Ele nos manifestou o misterioso desígnio de sua vontade, que em sua benevolência formara desde sempre,10 para realizá-lo na plenitude dos tempos - desígnio de reunir em Cristo todas as coisas, as que estão nos céus e as que estão na terra.11 Nele é que fomos escolhidos, predestinados segundo o desígnio daquele que tudo realiza por um ato deliberado de sua vontade,12 para servirmos à celebração de sua glória, nós que desde o começo voltamos nossas esperanças para Cristo.13 Nele também vós, depois de terdes ouvido a palavra da verdade, o Evangelho de vossa salvação no qual tendes crido, fostes selados com o Espírito Santo que fora prometido,14 que é o penhor da nossa herança, enquanto esperamos a completa redenção daqueles que Deus adquiriu para o louvor da sua glória.15 Por isso também eu, tendo ouvido falar da vossa fé no Senhor Jesus, e do amor para com todos os cristãos,16 não cesso de dar graças a Deus por vós, lembrando-me de vós nas minhas orações.17 Rogo ao Deus de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, o Pai da glória, vos dê um espírito de sabedoria que vos revele o conhecimento dele;18 que ilumine os olhos do vosso coração, para que compreendais a que esperança fostes chamados, quão rica e gloriosa é a herança que ele reserva aos santos,19 e qual a suprema grandeza de seu poder para conosco, que abraçamos a fé. É o mesmo poder extraordinário que20 ele manifestou na pessoa de Cristo, ressuscitando-o dos mortos e fazendo-o sentar à sua direita no céu,21 acima de todo principado, potestade, virtude, dominação e de todo nome que possa haver neste mundo como no futuro.22 E sujeitou a seus pés todas as coisas, e o constituiu chefe supremo da Igreja,23 que é o seu corpo, o receptáculo daquele que enche todas as coisas sob todos os aspectos.

1 Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:2 Grace [be] to you and peace from God our Father and [from] the Lord Jesus Christ.3 Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly [things] in Christ;4 according as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blemish before him in charity;5 having marked out beforehand [the way] for us to be adopted as sons by Jesus Christ in himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,6 to the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he has made us accepted in the beloved;7 in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace,8 which has over abounded in us in all wisdom and prudence;9 having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he has purposed in himself,10 that in the dispensation of the fulfillment of the times he might restore all things by the Christ, both those which are in heaven and those which are on earth,11 in him in whom likewise we have obtained an inheritance, having had [the way] marked out beforehand according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his own will,12 so that we should be to the praise of his glory, those of us who first trusted in the Christ.13 In whom ye also [trusted], hearing the word of truth, the gospel of your saving health; in whom also after ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of the promise,14 which is the earnest of our inheritance unto the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.15 Therefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and charity unto all the saints,16 cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;18 illuminating the eyes of your understanding, that ye may know what is the hope of his calling and what [are] the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints19 and what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power in us who believe, by the operation of the power of his strength,20 which operated in the Christ, raising him from the dead and setting [him] at his own right hand in the heavenly [places],21 far above all principality and power and might and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come,22 And has put all [things] under his feet and gave him [to be] the head over all [things] to the church,23 which is his body, and he is the fullness of her: who fills all things in everyone.:
