1 E tu, filho do homem, profetiza contra Gog nestes termos: eis o que diz o Senhor Javé: é contra ti que venho, Gog, príncipe soberano de Mosoc e de Tubal.2 Eu te vou fazer ir e vir, eu te conduzirei, eu te transportarei dos confins do norte contra as montanhas de Israel.3 De tua mão esquerda escapará teu arco, que eu quebrarei, e de tua mão direita farei cair tuas flechas.4 Tombarás sobre os montes de Israel, com tuas tropas e as hordas que te seguirem. Dar-te-ei por pasto às aves de rapina, aos voláteis de toda espécie e às feras.5 Serás estirado na terra, porquanto eu disse - oráculo do Senhor Javé.6 Expedirei fogo a Magog e entre aqueles que ocupam tranqüilamente as praias marinhas; eles saberão que sou eu o Senhor.7 Farei assim conhecer meu santo nome no meio do meu povo de Israel, sem mais deixá-lo profanar. As nações saberão assim que sou eu o Senhor, santo em Israel.8 Ora, eis o que irá suceder, e isso está próximo - oráculo do Senhor Javé -, eis o dia que eu havia predito.9 De todas as cidades de Israel sairão cidadãos para acender um fogo onde hão de queimar as armas: capacetes, escudos, arcos, flechas, lanças, dardos, dos quais se fará uma fogueira durante sete anos.10 Não mais irão aos campos amontoar lenha, não mais hão de fazer derrubada na floresta, porque com as armas é que se farão fogueiras. Pilharão os saqueadores, destruirão os destruidores - oráculo do Senhor Javé.11 Naquele dia, assinalarei a Gog o local da sepultura em Israel, o vale dos viandantes, a oriente do mar, que tapará o caminho aos passantes. Aí se enterrará Gog e toda a horda de suas gentes, e chamar-se-á esse vale Hamon-Gog.12 Os israelitas gastarão sete meses para enterrá-los e para limpar a terra.13 Todas as gentes da terra trabalharão nessa sepultura e hão de orgulhar-se do dia em que eu manifestar a minha glória - oráculo do Senhor Javé.14 Designar-se-ão homens encarregados de percorrer continuamente a terra para a limparem, enterrando os cadáveres que ficarem distendidos pelo solo: essa procura durará sete meses.15 Quando em suas caminhadas virem eles ossos humanos, de todo lado farão sinal até que os coveiros os tenham enterrado no vale de Hamon-Gog.16 Uma cidade terá o nome de Hamona. É assim que se purificará a terra.17 E tu, filho do homem, escuta o que diz o Senhor Javé: dize às aves de toda espécie e a todos os animais dos campos: ajuntai-vos! Vinde, reuni-vos para o sacrifício que vos preparo, um grande sacrifício nas montanhas de Israel: comereis carne e bebereis sangue.18 Ireis comer a carne dos heróis e beber o sangue dos príncipes da terra: carneiros, cordeiros, cabritos, touros robustos de Basã.19 Nesse sacrifício ao qual vos convido, comereis gordura até vos fartardes, e bebereis sangue até a embriaguez.20 À minha mesa vos saciareis de corcéis, cavaleiros, heróis e guerreiros de toda espécie - oráculo do Senhor Javé.21 Desse modo, manifestarei minha glória entre as nações: todas elas me hão de ver executar os meus atos de justiça e pôr a mão sobre elas.22 E, a partir daquele dia, os israelitas saberão que sou eu o Senhor, seu Deus.23 As nações reconhecerão que é por causa da sua iniqüidade que Israel foi deportado, e que é por causa da sua infidelidade que lhes tenho ocultado a minha face e as tenho entregue nas mãos dos seus inimigos, para que pereçam pela espada.24 Escondendo-lhes minha face, só lhes fiz o que mereciam por suas iniqüidades e prevaricações.25 E, por isso, eis o que diz o Senhor Javé: dentro em breve vou reconduzir os cavalos de Jacó e apiedar-me de toda a casa de Israel; vou mostrar-me cioso do meu santo nome.26 E serão livres de toda vergonha e das infidelidades de que se tornaram culpados para comigo, quando habitarem de novo tranqüilamente sua terra, sem que ninguém os inquiete.27 Logo que os houver reconduzido dentre as nações e reunido dos países inimigos, e que houver manifestado a minha santidade aos olhos das nações numerosas por meu proceder a seu respeito,28 reconhecerão eles que sou eu o Senhor, que sou seu Deus, porque depois de tê-los exilado entre as nações, eu os reunirei no seu solo sem lá deixar um só.29 Não esconderei mais deles a minha face, porque espargirei meu Espírito sobre toda a casa de Israel - oráculo do Senhor Javé.

1 Therefore, thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus hath the Lord GOD said: Behold, I [am] against thee, O Gog, prince of the capital of Meshech and Tubal;2 and I will break thee, and leave but the sixth part of thee and will cause thee to come up from the north parts and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel:3 and I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.4 Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy companies and the peoples that [go] with thee; I have given thee unto every bird and unto everything that flies and [to] the beasts of the field as food.5 Thou shalt fall upon the open field for I have spoken [it], said the Lord GOD.6 And I will send a fire on Magog, and among those that dwell securely in the isles: and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.7 So I will make my holy name known in the midst of my people Israel; and I will not [let them] pollute my holy name any more; and the Gentiles shall know that I [am] the LORD, Holy in Israel.8 Behold, it is come, and it is over, said the Lord GOD; this [is] the day of which I have spoken.9 And those that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth and shall set on fire and burn weapons, and shields and bucklers, bows and arrows, and handstaves, and spears, and they shall burn them in [the] fire for seven years:10 so that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down [any] out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons in the fire; and they shall spoil those that spoiled them and rob those that robbed them, said the Lord GOD.11 And it shall come to pass in that day [that] I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the [noses] of the passengers; and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude; and they shall call [it] The valley of Hamongog.12 And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them that they may cleanse the land.13 All the people of the land shall bury [them]; and it shall be to them a renown, the day that I shall be glorified, said the Lord GOD.14 And they shall take men out of continual employment, who shall go through the land with the passengers to bury those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it; after the end of seven months they shall search.15 And the passengers [that] pass through the land, when [any] sees a man's bone, then he shall set up a sign by it, until the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamongog.16 And also the name of the city [shall be] Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.17 And, thou son of man, thus hath the Lord GOD said: Speak unto every bird, unto everything that flies, and to every beast of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I sacrifice for you, [even] a great sacrifice upon the mountains of Israel, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood.18 Ye shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of he goats, of oxen, and of bulls, all of them fattened in Bashan.19 And ye shall eat fat until ye are full, and drink blood until ye are drunken, of my sacrifice which I have sacrificed for you.20 Thus ye shall be filled at my table with horses and strong chariots, and with all [the] men of war, said the Lord GOD.21 And I will set my glory among the Gentiles, and all the Gentiles shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.22 So the house of Israel shall know that I [am] the LORD their God from that day and forward.23 And the Gentiles shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity because they rebelled against me, and I hid my face from them and gave them into the hand of their enemies; so they all fell by the sword.24 According to their uncleanness and according to their rebellions have I done unto them and hid my face from them.25 Therefore thus hath the Lord GOD said: Now I will turn the captivity of Jacob and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel and will be jealous for my holy name.26 After they shall feel their shame and all their rebellion by which they have rebelled against me when they dwelt safely in their land, and no one made [them] afraid.27 When I bring them again from the peoples and gather them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many Gentiles.28 And they shall know that I [am] the LORD their God when after causing them to be led into captivity among the Gentiles; I shall gather them unto their own land, without leaving any of them there any longer.29 Neither will I hide my face any longer from them, for I will pour out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, said the Lord GOD.:
