1 Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.2 His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.3 Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.4 To the upright there ariseth light in darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.5 A good man showeth favor, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.6 Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he seeth his desire upon his enemies.9 He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honor.10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

Como é feliz o homem que teme o Senhor e tem grande prazer em seus mandamentos!2 Seus descendentes serão poderosos na terra, serão uma geração abençoada, de homens íntegros.3 Grande riqueza há em sua casa, e a sua justiça dura para sempre.4 A luz raia nas trevas para o íntegro, para quem é misericordioso, compassivo e justo.5 Feliz é o homem que empresta com generosidade e que com honestidade conduz os seus negócios.6 O justo jamais será abalado; para sempre se lembrarão dele.7 Não temerá más notícias; seu coração está firme, confiante no Senhor.8 O seu coração está seguro e nada temerá. No final, verá a derrota dos seus adversários.9 Reparte generosamente com os pobres; a sua justiça dura para sempre; seu poder será exaltado em honra.10 O ímpio o vê e fica irado, range os dentes e definha. O desejo dos ímpios se frustrará.
