It is a good thing to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to thy name, O Most High.3 \92:2\To show forth thy loving-kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.4 \92:3\Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.5 \92:4\For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.6 \92:5\O LORD, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.7 \92:6\A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this.8 \92:7\When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:9 \92:8\But thou, LORD, art most high for evermore.10 \92:9\For lo, thy enemies, O LORD, for lo, thy enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.11 \92:10\But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.12 \92:11\My eye also shall see my desire on my enemies, and my ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.13 \92:12\The righteous shall flourish like the palm-tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.14 \92:13\Those that are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.15 \92:14\They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;16 \92:15\To show that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.

1 Como é bom render graças ao Senhor e cantar louvores ao teu nome, ó Altíssimo,2 anunciar de manhã o teu amor leal e de noite a tua fidelidade,3 ao som da lira de dez cordas e da cítara, e da melodia da harpa.4 Tu me alegras, Senhor, com os teus feitos; as obras das tuas mãos levam-me a cantar de alegria.5 Como são grandes as tuas obras, Senhor, como são profundos os teus propósitos!6 O insensato não entende, o tolo não vê7 que, embora os ímpios brotem como a erva e floresçam todos os malfeitores, serão destruídos para sempre.8 Pois tu, Senhor, és exaltado para sempre.9 Mas os teus inimigos, Senhor, os teus inimigos perecerão; serão dispersos todos os malfeitores!10 Tu aumentaste a minha força como a do boi selvagem; derramaste sobre mim óleo novo.11 Os meus olhos contemplaram a derrota dos meus inimigos; os meus ouvidos escutaram a debandada dos meus maldosos agressores.12 Os justos florescerão como a palmeira, crescerão como o cedro do Líbano;13 plantados na casa do Senhor, florescerão nos átrios do nosso Deus.14 Mesmo na velhice darão fruto, permanecerão viçosos e verdejantes,15 para proclamar que o Senhor é justo. Ele é a minha rocha; nele não há injustiça.
