1 The wilderness and the dry land will be glad.

The desert will rejoice and blossom like a rose.

2 It will blossom abundantly,

and rejoice even with joy and singing.

Lebanon’s glory will be given to it,

the excellence of Carmel and Sharon.

They will see Yahweh’s glory,

the excellence of our God.

3 Strengthen the weak hands,

and make the feeble knees firm.

4 Tell those who have a fearful heart, "Be strong!

Don’t be afraid!

Behold, your God will come with vengeance, God’s retribution.

He will come and save you.

5 Then the eyes of the blind will be opened,

and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped.

6 Then the lame man will leap like a deer,

and the tongue of the mute will sing;

for waters will break out in the wilderness,

and streams in the desert.

7 The burning sand will become a pool,

and the thirsty ground springs of water.

Grass with reeds and rushes will be in the habitation of jackals, where they lay.

8 A highway will be there, a road,

and it will be called "The Holy Way".

The unclean shall not pass over it,

but it will be for those who walk in the Way.

Wicked fools shall not go there.

9 No lion will be there,

nor will any ravenous animal go up on it.

They will not be found there;

but the redeemed will walk there.

10 Then Yahweh’s ransomed ones will return,

and come with singing to Zion;

and everlasting joy will be on their heads.

They will obtain gladness and joy,

and sorrow and sighing will flee away."

1 旷野和干旱之地必欢喜； 沙漠要快乐， 又像番红花一般开花，

2 必茂盛地开花， 大大快乐， 并且欢呼。黎巴嫩的荣耀、迦密和沙仑的华美也赐给它； 人们必看见耶和华的荣耀、我们 神的华美。

3 你们要坚固无力的手， 稳固摇动的膝。

4 又对那些忧心的人说： "你们要刚强， 不要惧怕。看哪！ 你们的 神， 他要来报仇， 来施行报应， 他必来拯救你们。"

5 那时， 瞎子的眼必打开， 聋子的耳必畅通。

6 那时， 瘸子必像鹿一般跳跃， 哑巴的舌头必大声欢呼； 旷野必涌出大水， 沙漠必流出江河。

7 灼热的沙地必变为水池， 干旱之地必变成泉源； 在野狗的住处， 就是它们躺卧之处， 必成为青草、芦苇和蒲草生长的地方。

8 那里必有一条大路， 要称为"圣路"； 不洁净的人不能经过， 那是为那些行走正路的人预备的； 愚昧的人不会在路上留连。

9 那里必没有狮子， 猛兽也不会上去， 在那里必遇不见它们；

10 只有蒙救赎的人必归回， 必欢呼地来到锡安； 永远的喜乐必临到他们的头上； 他们必得着欢喜和快乐， 忧愁和叹息都必逃跑了。
