1 "Keep silent before me, islands,
and let the peoples renew their strength.
Let them come near,
then let them speak.
Let’s meet together for judgment.
2 Who has raised up one from the east?
Who called him to his feet in righteousness?
He hands over nations to him
and makes him rule over kings.
He gives them like the dust to his sword,
like the driven stubble to his bow.
3 He pursues them
and passes by safely,
even by a way that he had not gone with his feet.
4 Who has worked and done it,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I, Yahweh, the first, and with the last, I am he."
5 The islands have seen, and fear.
The ends of the earth tremble.
They approach, and come.
6 Everyone helps his neighbor.
They say to their brothers, "Be strong!"
7 So the carpenter encourages the goldsmith.
He who smooths with the hammer encourages him who strikes the anvil,
saying of the soldering, "It is good;"
and he fastens it with nails, that it might not totter.
8 "But you, Israel, my servant,
Jacob whom I have chosen,
the offspring of Abraham my friend,
9 you whom I have taken hold of from the ends of the earth,
and called from its corners,
and said to you, ‘You are my servant. I have chosen you and have not cast you away.’
10 Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you.
Yes, I will help you.
Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
11 Behold, all those who are incensed against you will be disappointed and confounded.
Those who strive with you will be like nothing, and shall perish.
12 You will seek them, and won’t find them,
even those who contend with you.
Those who war against you will be as nothing,
as a non-existent thing.
13 For I, Yahweh your God, will hold your right hand,
saying to you, ‘Don’t be afraid.
I will help you.’
14 Don’t be afraid, you worm Jacob,
and you men of Israel.
I will help you," says Yahweh.
"Your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.
15 Behold, I have made you into a new sharp threshing instrument with teeth.
You will thresh the mountains,
and beat them small,
and will make the hills like chaff.
16 You will winnow them,
and the wind will carry them away,
and the whirlwind will scatter them.
You will rejoice in Yahweh.
You will glory in the Holy One of Israel.
17 The poor and needy seek water, and there is none.
Their tongue fails for thirst.
I, Yahweh, will answer them.
I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them.
18 I will open rivers on the bare heights,
and springs in the middle of the valleys.
I will make the wilderness a pool of water,
and the dry land springs of water.
19 I will put cedar, acacia, myrtle, and oil trees in the wilderness.
I will set cypress trees, pine, and box trees together in the desert;
20 that they may see, know, consider, and understand together,
that Yahweh’s hand has done this,
and the Holy One of Israel has created it.
21 Produce your cause," says Yahweh.
"Bring out your strong reasons!" says the King of Jacob.
22 "Let them announce and declare to us what will happen!
Declare the former things, what they are,
that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them;
or show us things to come.
23 Declare the things that are to come hereafter,
that we may know that you are gods.
Yes, do good, or do evil,
that we may be dismayed,
and see it together.
24 Behold, you are nothing,
and your work is nothing.
He who chooses you is an abomination.
25 "I have raised up one from the north, and he has come,
from the rising of the sun, one who calls on my name,
and he shall come on rulers as on mortar,
and as the potter treads clay.
26 Who has declared it from the beginning, that we may know?
and before, that we may say, ‘He is right?’
Surely, there is no one who declares.
Surely, there is no one who shows.
Surely, there is no one who hears your words.
27 I am the first to say to Zion, ‘Behold, look at them;’
and I will give one who brings good news to Jerusalem.
28 When I look, there is no man,
even among them there is no counselor who, when I ask, can answer a word.
29 Behold, all of their deeds are vanity and nothing.
Their molten images are wind and confusion.
1 众海岛啊！ 你们要在我面前静默， 愿万民重新得力。让他们近前来， 然后说话， 让我们聚在一起辩论吧！
2 谁从东方激动了一个人， 凭公义把他召到自己的脚前来？他把列国交在他面前， 他制伏众王； 他使他们在他的刀下化作灰尘， 他使他们在他的弓下像碎秸一样被吹散。
3 他追赶他们， 安然走过他的脚未曾走过的路。
4 谁定这事并且作成？谁从起初预定万代呢？就是我耶和华， 我是首先的， 与最后的人同在的， 也是我。
5 众海岛看见了， 就都惧怕； 地极也都战兢； 他们都近前来。
6 各人彼此帮助， 对自己的兄弟说： "要坚强！ "
7 木匠坚固金匠， 用锤打光金属的， 鼓励打砧的； 论焊工说： "焊得好！ "又用钉子钉稳了。使偶像不致动摇。
8 但你以色列， 我的仆人啊！ 雅各， 我所拣选、我朋友亚伯拉罕的后裔啊！
9 你是我从地极抓来的， 我从地的远方召你来， 对你说： "你是我的仆人， 我拣选了你， 并没有弃绝你。"
10 不要惧怕， 因为我与你同在； 不要四处张望， 因为我是你的 神， 我必坚固你， 我必帮助你； 我必用公义的右手扶持你。
11 看哪！ 向你发怒的都必蒙羞受辱； 与你相争的人， 都要如同无有， 并要灭亡。
12 与你争竞的人， 你要寻找他们， 却找不着； 与你交战的人， 都必如同无有， 好像虚无。
13 因为我， 耶和华你们的 神， 紧握着你的右手， 对你说： "不要惧怕， 我必帮助你。"
14 虫子雅各啊！ 以色列人哪！ 你不要惧怕。我必帮助你； 这是耶和华说的。你的救赎主， 就是以色列的圣者。
15 看哪！ 我要使你成为打粮的器具， 又新， 又锋利， 又有很多利齿； 你要扬净群山， 把它们压得粉碎， 又使冈陵变成糠秕。
16 你必簸扬它们， 风要把它们吹去， 旋风也要把它们吹散； 但你要靠耶和华喜乐， 以以色列的圣者夸耀。
17 困苦和贫穷的人寻求水， 却没有水； 他们的舌头因口渴而干燥； 我耶和华必应允他们， 我以色列的 神必不离弃他们。
18 我要在光秃的高处开辟江河， 在山谷之间开辟泉源； 我要使旷野变为水池， 使干地变成水泉。
19 我要在旷野种上香柏树、皂荚树、番石榴树和野橄榄树； 我要在沙漠中栽种松树、杉树和黄杨树，
20 好叫人看见了， 就知道； 思想过， 就都明白， 这是耶和华的手所作的， 是以色列的圣者所造的。
21 耶和华说： "呈上你们的案件吧！ "雅各的王说： "把你们有力的证据拿来吧！ "
22 让它们前来告诉我们将要发生的事。以前的是什么事， 让它们告诉我们， 好叫我们用心思想， 得知事情的结局。或者向我们宣告那要来的事。
23 把以后要来的事告诉我们， 好叫我们知道你们是神； 你们作这些事， 或降福或降祸， 以致我们彼此对望， 一齐观看。
24 看哪！ 你们属于无有， 你们的作为都属于虚空， 那选择你们的是可厌恶的。
25 我从北方兴起一人， 他就来了； 他从日出之地而来， 呼求我的名； 他必来践踏掌权的， 好像践踏灰泥， 又像陶匠踹泥一样。
26 谁从起初讲说这事， 使我们知道呢？谁从先前说明， 以致我们说"他没有错"呢？谁也没有说明， 谁也没有宣告， 谁也没有听见你们的话！
27 我首先对锡安说： "看哪， 看看这些！ "我要把一位报好信息的赐给耶路撒冷。
28 我看的时候， 却没有一个人； 他们中间也没有谋士， 我问他们的时候， 可以回答一句话。
29 看哪！ 他们都是无有， 他们所作的都是虚无； 他们所铸的偶像都是风， 都是虚空。
