1 Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And sons were born to them after the flood.

2 The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.

3 The sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

4 The sons of Javan were Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.

5 From these the regions of the nations were separated into their lands, everyone according to their tongue, according to their families, into their nations.

6 The sons of Ham were Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

7 The sons of Cush were Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabtechah; and the sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.

8 And Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth.

9 He was a mighty hunter before Jehovah; therefore it is said, Like Nimrod the mighty hunter before Jehovah.

10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

11 From that land he went forth to Assyria and built Nineveh, the city of Rehoboth and Calah,

12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah, which was a large city.

13 Mizraim begot Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim,

14 Pathrusim, and Casluhim (from whom came the Philistines), and Caphtorim.

15 Canaan begot Sidon his firstborn, and Heth;

16 the Jebusite, the Amorite, and the Girgashite;

17 the Hivite, the Arkite, and the Sinite;

18 the Arvadite, the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. Afterward the families of the Canaanites were scattered.

19 And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon as you go toward Gerar, as far as Gaza; then as you go toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.

20 These were the sons of Ham, according to their families, according to their tongues, in their lands and in their nations.

21 And to Shem also, the older brother of Japheth, and father of all the sons of Eber, sons were born.

22 The sons of Shem were Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.

23 The sons of Aram were Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.

24 Arphaxad begot Salah, and Salah begot Eber.

25 To Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.

26 Joktan begot Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,

27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,

28 Obal, Abimael, Sheba,

29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

30 And their dwelling place was from Mesha, as you go toward Sephar, a mountain in the east.

31 These were the sons of Shem, according to their families, according to their tongues, in their lands, according to their nations.

32 These were the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, in their nations; and from these the nations were divided on the earth after the flood.

1 ESTAS pois são as gerações dos filhos de Noé: Sem, Cão, e Jafé; e nasceram-lhes filhos depois do dilúvio. 2 Os filhos de Jafé, são: Gomer e Magogue, e Madai, e Javã, e Tubal, e Meseque, e Tiras. 3 E os filhos de Gomer, são: Asquenaz, e Rifate, e Togarma. 4 E os filhos de Javã, são: Elisá e Tarsis, Quitim, e Dodanim. 5 Por estes foram repartidas as ilhas das nações nas suas terras, cada qual segundo a sua língua, segundo as suas famílias, entre as suas nações. 6 E os filhos de Cão, são: Cuse, e Mizraim, e Pute, e Canaã. 7 E os filhos de Cuse, são: Sebá, e Havilá, e Sabtá, e Raamá, Sabtecá: e os filhos de Raamá são: Seba e Dedã. 8 E Cuse gerou a Ninrode; este começou a ser poderoso na terra. 9 E este foi poderoso caçador diante da face do Senhor; pelo que se diz: Como Ninrode, poderoso caçador diante do Senhor. 10 E o princípio do seu reino foi Babel, e Ereque, e Acade, e Calne, na terra de Sinear. 11 Desta mesma terra saiu à Assíria e edificou a Nínive, e Reobote-Ir e Calá, 12 E Résen, entre Nínive e Calá (esta é a grande cidade). 13 E Mizraim gerou a Ludim, e a Anamim, e a Leabim, e a Naftuim, 14 E a Patrusim e a Caslusim, (donde saíram os Filisteus) e a Caftorim. 15 E Canaã gerou a Sidom, seu primogênito, e a Hete, 16 E ao jebuseu, e amorreu, e girgaseu, 17 E ao heveu, e ao arqueu, e ao sineu, 18 E ao arvadeu, e ao zemareu, e ao hamateu, e depois se espalharam as famílias dos cananeus. 19 E foi o termo dos cananeus desde Sidom, indo para Gerar, até Gaza; indo para Sodoma, e Gomorra, e Adama, e Zeboim, até Lasa. 20 Estes são os filhos de Cão segundo as suas famílias, segundo as suas línguas, em suas terras, em suas nações. 21 E a Sem nasceram filhos, e ele é o pai de todos os filhos de Éber, o irmão mais velho de Jafé. 22 os filhos de Sem são: Elão e Assur, e Arpachade, e Lude, e Arã. 23 E os filhos de Arã são: Uz, e Hul, e Géter, e Mas. 24 E Arpachade gerou a Selá; e Selá gerou a Éber. 25 E a Éber nasceram dois filhos: o nome dum foi Pelegue, porquanto em seus dias se repartiu a terra, e o nome do seu irmão foi Joctã. 26 E Joctã gerou a Almodade, e a Selefe, e a Hazarmavete, e a Jerá; 27 E a Hadorão, e a Uzal, e a Diclá; 28 E a Obal, e Abimael, e a Seba; 29 E a Ofir, e a Havilá e a Jobabe; todos estes foram filhos de Joctã. 30 E foi a sua habitação desde Messa, indo para Sefar, montanha do Oriente. 31 Estes são os filhos de Sem segundo as suas famílias, segundo as suas línguas, nas suas terras, segundo as suas nações. 32 Estas são as famílias dos filhos de Noé segundo as suas gerações, nas suas nações; e destes foram divididas as nações na terra depois do dilúvio.
