| 1 | Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; | Örvendezz a te ifjuságodban, és vídámítson meg téged a te szíved a te ifjúságodnak idejében, és járj a te szívednek útaiban, és szemeidnek látásiban; de megtudd, hogy mindezekért az Isten tégedet ítéletre von! |
| 2 | While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, are not darkened, nor the clouds return after the rain: | Vesd el a haragot a te szívedbõl, és vesd el a gonoszt a te testedbõl; mert az ifjúság és a hajnal hiábavalóság. |
| 3 | In the day when the keepers of the house shall tremble, and the strong men shall bow themselves, and the grinders cease because they are few, and those that look out of the windows shall be darkened, | És emlékezzél meg a te Teremtõdrõl a te ifjúságodnak idejében, míg a veszedelemnek napjai el nem jõnek, és míg el nem jõnek az esztendõk, melyekrõl azt mondod: nem szeretem ezeket! |
