| 1 | The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones, | Lõn én rajtam az Úrnak keze, és kivitt engem az Úr lélek által, és letõn engem a völgynek közepette, mely csontokkal rakva vala. |
| 2 | And caused me to pass by them around: and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and lo, they were very dry. | És átvitt engem azok mellett köröskörül, és ímé, felette sok vala a völgy színén, és ímé, igen megszáradtak vala. |
| 3 | And he said to me, Son of man, can these bones live? and I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest. | És monda nékem: Embernek fia! vajjon megélednek-é ezek a tetemek? és mondék: Uram Isten, te tudod! |
| 4 | Again he said to me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say to them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. | És monda nékem: Prófétálj e tetemek felõl és mondjad nékik: Ti megszáradt tetemek, halljátok meg az Úr beszédét! |
| 5 | Thus saith the Lord GOD to these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live: | Így szól az Úr Isten ezeknek a tetemeknek: Ímé, én bocsátok ti belétek lelket, hogy megéledjetek. |
| 6 | And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. | És adok reátok inakat, és hozok reátok húst, és bõrrel beborítlak titeket, és adok belétek lelket, hogy megéledjetek, és megtudjátok, hogy én vagyok az Úr. |
| 7 | So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. | És én prófétálék, a mint parancsolva vala nékem. És mikor prófétálnék, lõn zúgás és ímé zörgés, és egybemenének a tetemek, mindenik tetem az õ teteméhez. |
| 8 | And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came up upon them, and the skin covered them above: but there was no breath in them. | És látám, és ímé inak valának rajtok, és hús nevekedett, és felül bõr borította be õket; de lélek nem vala még bennök. |
| 9 | Then said he to me, Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. | És monda nékem: Prófétálj a léleknek, prófétálj embernek fia, és mondjad a léleknek: Ezt mondja az Úr Isten: A négy szelek felõl jõjj elõ lélek, és lehelj ezekbe a megölettekbe, hogy megéledjenek! |
| 10 | So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. | És prófétálék a mint parancsolá. És beléjök méne a lélek s megéledének, s állának lábaikra, felette igen nagy sereg. |
| 11 | Then he said to me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts. | És monda nékem: Embernek fia! ezek a tetemek az Izráel egész háza. Ímé, ezt mondják: Elszáradtak a mi csontjaink és elveszett a mi reménységünk; kivágattunk! |
| 12 | Therefore prophesy and say to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. | Annakokáért prófétálj, és mondjad nékik: Így szól az Úr Isten: Ímé, én megnyitom a ti sírjaitokat és kihozlak titeket sírjaitokból, én népem! s beviszlek titeket Izráel földjére. |
| 13 | And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you out of your graves, | És megtudjátok, hogy én vagyok az Úr, mikor megnyitándom sírjaitokat és kihozlak titeket sírjaitokból, én népem! |
| 14 | And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD. | És adom az én lelkemet belétek, hogy megéledjetek, és leteszlek titeket a ti földetekre, és megtudjátok, hogy én, az Úr, szóltam és megcselekedtem, ezt mondja az Úr Isten. |
| 15 | The word of the LORD came again to me, saying, | És lõn az Úr beszéde hozzám, mondván: |
| 16 | Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions: | És te, embernek fia, végy magadnak fát, és írd ezt reá: Júdáé és Izráel fiaié, az õ társaié; és végy egy másik fát, és írd ezt reá: Józsefé, Efraim fája és az egész Izráel házáé, az õ társaié. |
| 17 | And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thy hand. | És tedd együvé azokat, egyiket a másikhoz egy fává, hogy egygyé legyenek kezedben. |
| 18 | And when the children of thy people shall speak to thee, saying, Wilt thou not show us what thou meanest by these? | És ha mondják néked a te néped fiai, mondván: Avagy nem jelented-é meg nékünk, mit akarsz ezekkel? |
| 19 | Say to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in my hand. | Szólj nékik: Ezt mondja az Úr Isten: Ímé, én fölveszem a József fáját, mely Efraim kezében van, és Izráel nemzetségeit, az õ társait, és teszem õket õ hozzá, a Júda fájához, és összeteszem õket egy fává, hogy egygyé legyenek az én kezemben. |
| 20 | And the sticks on which thou writest shall be in thy hand before their eyes. | És ha e fák, a melyekre írsz, kezedben lesznek szemök láttára: |
| 21 | And say to them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they are gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land: | Szólj nékik: Ezt mondja az Úr Isten: Ímé, én fölveszem Izráel fiait a pogányok közül, a kik közé mentek, és egybegyûjtöm õket mindenfelõl, és beviszem õket az õ földjökre. |
| 22 | And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all: | És egy néppé teszem õket azon a földön, Izráelnek hegyein, és egyetlenegy király lesz mindnyájok királya, és nem lesznek többé két néppé, és ezután nem oszolnak többé két királyságra. |
| 23 | Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling-places, in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God. | És többé meg nem fertéztetik magokat bálványaikkal és útálatosságaikkal és minden bûneikkel; és megtartom õket minden oly lakóhelyöktõl, a melyekben vétkeztek, és megtisztítom õket, és lesznek nékem népem és én leszek nékik istenök. |
| 24 | And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them. | És az én szolgám, Dávid lesz a király õ rajtok, s egy pásztora lesz mindnyájoknak; és az én törvényeim szerint járnak, s parancsolataimat megõrzik és cselekszik. |
| 25 | And they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob my servant, in which your fathers have dwelt, and they shall dwell in it, even they, and their children, and their children's children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever. | És laknak a földön, melyet adtam vala az én szolgámnak, Jákóbnak, a melyen laktak a ti atyáitok; és laknak azon õk és fiaik és fiaiknak fiai mindörökké, és az én szolgám, Dávid az õ fejedelmök örökké. |
| 26 | Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore. | És szerzek velök békességnek frigyét, örökkévaló frigy lesz ez velök; és elültetem õket és megsokasítom, és helyheztetem az én szenthelyemet közéjök örökké. |
| 27 | My tabernacle also shall be with them: and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. | És lesz az én lakhelyem felettök, és leszek nékik Istenök és õk nékem népem. |
| 28 | And the heathen shall know that I the LORD do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for ever. | És megtudják a pogányok, hogy én vagyok az Úr, ki megszentelem Izráelt, mikor szenthelyem közöttök lesz mindörökké. |
