| 1 | And the LORD spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them. | Szóla ismét az Úr Mózesnek és Áronnak, mondván nékik: |
| 2 | Speak to the children of Israel, saying, These are the beasts which ye may eat among all the beasts that are on the earth. | Szóljatok Izráel fiainak, mondván: Ezek azok az állatok, a melyeket megehettek minden barmok közül, a melyek vannak e földön: |
| 3 | Whatever parteth the hoof, and is cloven-footed, and cheweth the cud among the beasts, that shall ye eat. | Mindazt, a minek hasadt a körme, és egészen ketté hasadt körme van, és kérõdzõ a barmok közt, megehetitek. |
| 4 | Nevertheless, these shall ye not eat, of them that chew the cud, or of them that divide the hoof: the camel, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean to you. | De a kérõdzõk és a hasadt körmûek közül ne egyétek meg ezeket: A tevét, mert az kérõdzõ ugyan, de nincs hasadt körme; tisztátalan ez néktek. |
| 5 | And the coney, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean to you. | A hörcsököt, mert kérõdzõ ugyan, de nem hasadt a körme; tisztátalan ez néktek. |
| 6 | And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof: he is unclean to you. | A nyulat, mert kérõdzõ ugyan, de nem hasadt a körme; tisztátalan ez néktek. |
| 7 | And the swine, though he divideth the hoof, and is cloven-footed, yet he cheweth not the cud; he is unclean to you. | És a disznót, mert hasadt körmû ugyan és egészen ketté hasadt körme van, de nem kérõdzik; tisztátalan ez néktek. |
| 8 | Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcass shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you. | Ezeknek húsából ne egyetek, és holttestöket se illessétek; tisztátalanok ezek néktek. |
| 9 | These shall ye eat, of all that are in the waters: whatever hath fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, them shall ye eat. | Mindazokból, a melyek a vizekben élnek, ezeket ehetitek meg: A minek úszószárnya és pikkelye van a vizekben, tengerekben és folyóvizekben, azokat mind egyétek meg. |
| 10 | And all that have not fins nor scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of any living animal which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination to you: | A minek pedig nincsen úszószárnya és pikkelye a tengerekben és folyóvizekben, legyen az akármely vízben nyüzsgõ, és akármely vízben élõ állat; mind útálatos az néktek. |
| 11 | They shall be even an abomination to you; ye shall not eat of their flesh, but ye shall have their carcasses in abomination. | De legyenek [is] útálatosak néktek; azoknak húsából ne egyetek, és holttestöket is útáljátok. |
| 12 | Whatever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination to you. | A minek nincs úszószárnya és pikkelye a vizekben, mind útálatos az néktek. |
| 13 | And these are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the ossifrage, and the ospray, | A szárnyas állatok közül pedig ezeket útáljátok; meg ne egyétek, útálatosak ezek: a sas, a saskeselyû és a halászó sas. |
| 14 | And the vultur, and the kite after his kind; | A sólyom és a héja az õ nemével. |
| 15 | Every raven after his kind; | Minden holló az õ nemével. |
| 16 | And the owl, and the night-hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind, | A strucz, a bagoly, a kakuk és a karvaly az õ nemével. |
| 17 | And the little owl, and the cormorant, and the great owl, | A kuvik, a hattyú és a füles bagoly. |
| 18 | And the swan, and the pelican, and the gier-eagle, | A bölömbika, a pelikán és a gém. |
| 19 | And the stork, and the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat. | Az eszterág és a szarka az õ nemével, a büdös banka és a denevér. |
| 20 | All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination to you. | Minden szárnyas féreg, a mely négy lábon jár, útálatos néktek. |
| 21 | Yet these may ye eat, of every flying creeping animal that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap with upon the earth; | Csak azt ehetitek meg a négylábú szárnyas férgek közül, a melynek lábain felûl [szökõ-]szárai vannak, hogy szökdécselhessen azokkal a földön. |
| 22 | Even these of them ye may eat; the locust after its kind, and the bald locust after its kind, and the beetle after its kind, and the grasshopper after its kind. | Ezeket egyétek meg azok közül: az arbé-sáskát az õ nemével, a szolám- sáskát az õ nemével, a khargol-sáskát az õ nemével és a khagab-sáskát az õ nemével. |
| 23 | But all other flying creeping animals, which have four feet, shall be an abomination to you. | Minden egyéb négylábú szárnyas féreg pedig útálatos legyen néktek. |
| 24 | And for these ye shall be unclean: whoever toucheth the carcass of them shall be unclean until the evening. | És ezekkel tisztátalanokká teszitek magatokat; mindaz, a ki illeti holttestüket, tisztátalan legyen estvéig. |
| 25 | And whoever beareth aught of the carcass of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. | Mindaz pedig, a ki hordozza azoknak holttestét, mossa meg az õ ruháit, és tisztátalan legyen estvéig. |
| 26 | The carcasses of every beast which divideth the hoof, and is not cloven-footed, nor cheweth the cud, are unclean to you: every one that toucheth them shall be unclean. | Minden barom, a melynek hasadt a körme, de nincs egészen ketté hasadva, és nem kérõdzik, tisztátalan legyen néktek; valaki illeti azt, tisztátalan legyen. |
| 27 | And whatever goeth upon its paws, among all manner of beasts that go on all four, those are unclean to you: whoever toucheth their carcass shall be unclean until the evening. | Minden állat, a mely a négylábúak között a talpán jár, tisztátalan legyen néktek; mindaz, a ki azoknak holttestét illeti, tisztátalan legyen estvéig. |
| 28 | And he that beareth the carcass of them shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening: they are unclean to you. | A ki pedig hordozza azoknak holttestét, mossa meg az õ ruháit, és tisztátalan legyen estvéig. Tisztátalanok azok néktek. |
| 29 | These also shall be unclean to you among the creeping animals that creep upon the earth; the weasel, and the mouse, and the tortoise, after its kind, | A földön csúszó-mászó állatok között pedig ezek legyenek tisztátalanok: a menyét, az egér és a gyík az õ nemével. |
| 30 | And the ferret and the chameleon, and the lizard, and the snail, and the mole. | A sündisznó, a kaméleon, a tarka gyík, a csiga és a vakondok. |
| 31 | These are unclean to you among all that creep: whoever doth touch them, when they are dead, shall be unclean until the evening. | Ezek tisztátalanok néktek minden csúszó-mászó között; valaki illeti ezeket holtuk után, tisztátalan legyen estvéig. |
| 32 | And upon whatever any of them, when they are dead, doth fall, it shall be unclean; whether it is any vessel of wood, or raiment, or skin, or sack, whatever vessel it is, in which any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the evening; so it shall be cleansed. | És minden, a mire ezek közül holtuk után esik valamelyik, tisztátalan legyen; akármely faedény, akár ruha, vagy bõr, vagy zsák; akármely eszköz, a mivel dolgozni szoktak, vízbe tétessék, és tisztátalan legyen estvéig, ezután tiszta legyen. |
| 33 | And every earthen vessel, into which any of them falleth, whatever is in it shall be unclean; and ye shall break it. | Akármely cserépedény pedig, a melybe beleesik [valami] azokból, mindazzal együtt, a mi benne van, tisztátalan legyen, és az [edényt] törjétek el. |
| 34 | Of all meat which may be eaten, that on which such water cometh shall be unclean: and all drink that may be drank in every such vessel, shall be unclean. | Minden megehetõ eledel, a melyhez [az] [ilyen edénybõl] víz jut, tisztátalan, és minden megiható ital is minden [ilyen] edényben tisztátalan legyen. |
| 35 | And every thing on which any part of their carcass falleth, shall be unclean; whether an oven, or ranges for pots, they shall be broken down: for they are unclean, and shall be unclean to you. | És minden, a mire azoknak holttestébõl esik [valami], tisztátalan; kemencze és tûzhely lerontassék; tisztátalanok azok és tisztátalanok legyenek néktek. |
| 36 | Nevertheless, a fountain or pit, in which there is plenty of water, shall be clean: but that which toucheth their carcass shall be unclean. | De a forrás, a kút, az egybegyûlt víz tiszta legyen; de a mi azoknak holttestéhez ér, tisztátalan. |
| 37 | And if any part of their carcass shall fall upon any sowing-seed which is to be sown, it shall be clean. | Hogyha azoknak holttestébõl reáesik is valamely vetõmagra, a mely elvetendõ, tiszta legyen [az.] |
| 38 | But if any water shall be put upon the seed, and any part of their carcass shall fall on it, it shall be unclean to you. | De ha vizet töltenek a magra, és úgy esik rá azoknak holttestébõl, tisztátalan az ilyen néktek. |
| 39 | And if any beast, of which ye may eat, shall die; he that toucheth its carcass shall be unclean until the evening. | Hogyha olyan hullik el a barmok közül, a mely eledeletek néktek; a ki annak holttestét illeti, tisztátalan legyen estvéig. |
| 40 | And he that eateth of its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening; he also that beareth its carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening. | A ki pedig eszik annak holttestébõl, mossa meg az õ ruháit, és tisztátalan legyen estvéig. És mossa meg ruháit az is, a ki hordozta annak holttestét, és tisztátalan legyen estvéig. |
| 41 | And every creeping animal that creepeth upon the earth shall be an abomination; it shall not be eaten. | Mindaz is, a mi csúszik-mászik a földön, útálatos legyen, meg ne egyétek. |
| 42 | Whatever goeth upon the belly, and whatever goeth upon all four, or whatever hath more feet among all creeping animals that creep upon the earth, them ye shall not eat; for they are an abomination. | Mindazt, a mi hason csúszik, és mindazt, a mi négy, sõt mindazt, a mi több lábon jár, a földön csúszó-mászó bármely állatot, meg ne egyétek ezeket, mert útálatosak ezek. |
| 43 | Ye shall not make your selves abominable with any creeping animal that creepeth, neither shall ye make yourselves unclean with them, that ye should be defiled by them. | Meg ne fertéztessétek magatokat semmiféle csúszó-mászó állattal, és meg ne tisztátalanítsátok magatokat azokkal, hogy tisztátalanokká legyetek általok. |
| 44 | For I am the LORD your God: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping animal that creepeth upon the earth. | Mert én, az Úr, vagyok a ti Istenetek; szenteljétek meg azért magatokat, és szentek legyetek, mert én szent vagyok, és meg ne tisztátalanítsátok magatokat semmiféle állat által, a mely csúszik-mászik a földön. |
| 45 mapa | For I am the LORD that bringeth you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy. | Mert én vagyok az Úr, a ki felhoztalak titeket Égyiptom földébõl, hogy Istenetekké legyek néktek; legyetek azért szentek, mert én szent vagyok. |
| 46 | This is the law of the beasts, and of the fowl, and of every living creature that moveth in the waters, and of every creature that creepeth upon the earth; | Ez a törvény a baromfélékrõl, a szárnyas állatokról, minden élõ állatról, a mely nyüzsög a vizekben, és minden állatról, a mely csúszik- mászik a földön. |
| 47 | To make a difference between the unclean and the clean, and between the beast that may be eaten and the beast that may not be eaten. | Hogy különbséget tehessetek a tisztátalan és tiszta között, az olyan állat között, a mely megehetõ, és az olyan állat között, a mely meg nem ehetõ. |
