Hebreus 10

1 For the law, having a shadow of the coming good things, not the image itself of the things, can never, by the same sacrifices which they offer continually yearly, perfect those who approach. 2 Since, would they not indeed have ceased being offered, on account of the worshippers once purged having no longer any conscience of sins? 3 But in these there is a calling to mind of sins yearly. 4 For blood of bulls and goats is incapable of taking away sins. 5 Wherefore coming into the world he says, Sacrifice and offering thou willedst not; but thou hast prepared me a body. 6 Thou tookest no pleasure in burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin.

7 Then I said, Lo, I come (in the roll of the book it is written of me) to do, O God, thy will. 8 Above, saying Sacrifices and offerings and burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin thou willedst not, neither tookest pleasure in (which are offered according to the law); 9 then he said, Lo, I come to do thy will. He takes away the first that he may establish the second; 10 by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. 11 And every priest stands daily ministering, and offering often the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. 12 But he, having offered one sacrifice for sins, sat down in perpetuity at the right hand of God, 13 waiting from henceforth until his enemies be set for the footstool of his feet. 14 For by one offering he has perfected in perpetuity the sanctified. 15 And the Holy Spirit also bears us witness of it; for after what was said: 16 This is the covenant which I will establish towards them after those days, saith the Lord: Giving my laws into their hearts, I will write them also in their understandings; 17 and their sins and their lawlessnesses I will never remember any more. 18 But where there is remission of these, there is no longer a sacrifice for sin.

19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness for entering into the holy of holies by the blood of Jesus, 20 the new and living way which he has dedicated for us through the veil, that is, his flesh, 21 and having a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us approach with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, sprinkled as to our hearts from a wicked conscience, and washed as to our body with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of the hope unwavering, (for he is faithful who has promised;) 24 and let us consider one another for provoking to love and good works; 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the custom is with some; but encouraging one another, and by so much the more as ye see the day drawing near. 26 For where we sin wilfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains any sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and heat of fire about to devour the adversaries. 28 Any one that has disregarded Moses' law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses: 29 of how much worse punishment, think ye, shall he be judged worthy who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and esteemed the blood of the covenant, whereby he has been sanctified, common, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know him that said, To me belongs vengeance; I will recompense, saith the Lord: and again, The Lord shall judge his people. 31 It is a fearful thing falling into the hands of the living God. 32 But call to mind the earlier days in which, having been enlightened, ye endured much conflict of sufferings; 33 on the one hand, when ye were made a spectacle both in reproaches and afflictions; and on the other, when ye became partakers with those who were passing through them. 34 For ye both sympathised with prisoners and accepted with joy the plunder of your goods, knowing that ye have for yourselves a better substance, and an abiding one. 35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great recompense. 36 For ye have need of endurance in order that, having done the will of God, ye may receive the promise. 37 For yet a very little while he that comes will come, and will not delay. 38 But the just shall live by faith; and, if he draw back, my soul does not take pleasure in him. 39 But we are not drawers back to perdition, but of faith to saving the soul.

1 PORQUE la ley, teniendo ✝10.1 Col. 2.17. cp. 8.5la sombra de ✝10.1 cp. 9.11.los bienes venideros, no la imagen misma de las cosas, ✝10.1 cp. 9.9.nunca puede, por los mismos sacrificios que ofrecen continuamente cada año, hacer perfectos á los que se allegan.

2 De otra manera cesarían de ofrecerse; porque los que tributan este culto, limpios de una vez, no tendrían más conciencia de pecado.

3 Empero ✝10.3 Lv. 16.21. cp. 9.7en estos sacrificios cada año se hace conmemoración de los pecados.

4 Porque ✝10.4 Mi. 6.6-8.la sangre de los toros y de los machos cabríos no puede quitar los pecados.

5 Por lo cual, ✝10.5 cp. 1.6.entrando en el mundo, dice:

✝ 10.5 Sal. 40.6-8. Sacrificio y presente no quisiste;

Mas ✝10.5 ver. 10. Jn. 6.51.me apropiaste cuerpo:

6 Holocaustos y expiaciones por el pecado no te agradaron.

7 Entonces dije: Heme aquí

Para que haga, oh Dios, tu voluntad.

8 Diciendo arriba: Sacrificio y presente, y holocaustos y expiaciones por el pecado no quisiste, ni te agradaron, (las cuales cosas se ofrecen según la ley,)

9 Entonces dijo: Heme aquí para que haga, oh Dios, tu voluntad. Quita lo primero, para establecer lo postrero.

10 En la cual ✝10.10 Jn. 17.19.voluntad somos santificados por la ofrenda del ✝10.10 ver. 5. Jn. 6.51.cuerpo de Jesucristo hecha ✝10.10 Ro. 6.10. cp. 7.27una sola vez.

11 Así que, todo sacerdote se presenta ✝10.11 Nm. 28.3. cp. 7.27cada día ministrando y ofreciendo muchas veces los mismos sacrificios, que nunca pueden quitar los pecados:

12 Pero éste, habiendo ofrecido por los pecados ✝10.12 cp. 7.27.un solo sacrificio ✝10.12 cp. 1.3.para siempre, está sentado á la diestra de Dios,

13 Esperando lo que resta, hasta que ✝10.13 Sal. 110.1.sus enemigos sean puestos por estrado de sus pies.

14 Porque con una sola ofrenda ✝10.14 ver. 1hizo perfectos para siempre á ✝10.14 ver. 10los santificados.

15 Y atestíguanos ✝10.15 cp. 3.7.lo mismo el Espíritu Santo; que después que dijo:

16 Y este es el pacto que haré con ellos

Después de aquellos días, dice el Señor:

✝ 10.16 Jer. 31.33. cp. 8.10 Daré mis leyes en sus corazones,

Y en sus almas las escribiré:

17 Añade:

Y nunca más me acordaré de sus pecados é iniquidades.

18 Pues donde hay remisión de éstos, no hay más ofrenda por pecado.

19 Así que, hermanos, ✝10.19 Ro. 5.2. cp. 4.10teniendo libertad para entrar en ✝10.19 cp. 8.2.el santuario por la sangre de Jesucristo,

20 Por el camino que él nos consagró nuevo y vivo, ✝10.20 cp. 9.3.por el velo, esto es, por su carne;

21 Y teniendo ✝10.21 cp. 3.1.un gran sacerdote sobre ✝10.21 1 Ti. 3.15.la casa de Dios,

22 Lleguémonos con corazón verdadero, ✝10.22 Col. 2.2. cp. 6.11en plena certidumbre de fe, purificados los corazones ✝10.22 cp. 9.14.de mala conciencia, y ✝10.22 1 Co. 6.11.lavados los cuerpos con agua limpia.

23 Mantengamos firme la ✝10.23 1 Ti. 6.13.profesión de nuestra fe sin fluctuar; que ✝10.23 1 Co. 1.9. cp. 11.11fiel es el que prometió:

24 Y considerémonos los unos á los otros para provocarnos al amor y á las buenas obras;

25 No dejando ✝10.25 Hch. 2.42. Jud. 19.nuestra congregación, como algunos tienen por costumbre, mas exhortándonos; y tanto más, cuanto veis que ✝10.25 Lc. 17.24. 1 Co. 3.13.aquel día se acerca.

26 Porque ✝10.26 cp. 6.4.si pecáremos voluntariamente después de haber recibido el conocimiento de la verdad, ✝10.26 1 Jn. 5.16.ya no queda sacrificio por el pecado,

1 Perseverancia en la fe.

2 Excelencia de la fe,

27 Sino una horrenda esperanza de juicio, y hervor de fuego que ha de devorar á los adversarios.

28 ✝ 10.28 Dt. 17.2,6. El que menospreciare la ley de Moisés, por el testimonio de dos ó de tres testigos muere sin ninguna misericordia:

29 ¿Cuánto pensáis ✝10.29 cp. 2.3.que será más digno de mayor castigo, ✝10.29 cp. 6.6.el que hollare al ✝10.29 cp. 1.2.Hijo de Dios, y tuviere por inmunda ✝10.29 cp. 13.20.la sangre del ✝10.29 ver. 16testamento, en la cual fué ✝10.29 ver. 10santificado, ✝10.29 Mt. 12.31,32.e hiciere afrenta al Espíritu de gracia?

30 Sabemos quién es el que dijo: ✝10.30 Dt. 32.35. Ro. 12.19.Mía es la venganza, yo daré el pago, dice el Señor. Y otra vez: ✝10.30 Dt. 32.36.El Señor juzgará su pueblo.

31 Horrenda cosa es caer en las manos del Dios vivo.

32 Empero ✝10.32 2 Jn. 8.traed á la memoria los días pasados, en los cuales, después de haber sido iluminados, sufristeis gran combate de aflicciones:

33 Por una parte, ciertamente, con vituperios y tribulaciones fuisteis hechos espectáculo; y por otra parte hechos compañeros de los que estaban en tal estado.

34 Porque de mis prisiones también os resentisteis conmigo, y ✝10.34 Mt. 5.12. Stg. 1.10.el robo de vuestros bienes padecisteis con gozo, conociendo que ✝10.34 Mt. 6.20.tenéis en vosotros una mejor sustancia en los cielos, y que permanece.

35 No perdáis pues vuestra confianza, que tiene grande remuneración de galardón:

36 Porque ✝10.36 Lc. 21.19. cp. 12.1. Stg. 1.3,4.la paciencia os es necesaria; para que, habiendo hecho la voluntad de Dios, ✝10.36 cp. 9.15.obtengáis la promesa.

37 Porque aun ✝10.37 1 P. 5.10.un poquito,

Y el que ha de venir ✝10.37 Hab. 2.3,4.vendrá, y no tardará.

38 Ahora el justo ✝10.38 Ro. 1.17.vivirá por fe;

Mas si se retirare, no agradará á mi alma.

39 Pero nosotros no somos tales ✝10.39 2 P. 2.20,21.que nos retiremos para perdición, sino fieles para ganancia del alma.
