1 And David assembled all the princes of Israel, the princes of the tribes, and the princes of the divisions that ministered to the king, and the captains over thousands, and the captains over hundreds, and the comptrollers of all the substance and possessions of the king and of his sons, with the chamberlains, and the mighty men, and all the men of valour, unto Jerusalem. 2 And king David stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren and my people! I had in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of Jehovah and for the footstool of our God*GodHebrew: Elohim and I have prepared to build. 3 But God*GodHebrew: Elohim said to me, Thou shalt not build a house unto my name, for thou art a man of war, and hast shed blood. 4 And Jehovah the God*GodHebrew: Elohim of Israel chose me out of all the house of my father to be king over Israel for ever; for he has chosen Judah to be the prince; and of the house of Judah, the house of my father; and among the sons of my father he took pleasure in me to make me king over all Israel; 5 and of all my sons, (for Jehovah has given me many sons,) he has chosen Solomon my son to sit upon the throne of the kingdom of Jehovah over Israel. 6 And he said to me, Solomon thy son, he shall build my house and my courts; for I have chosen him to be my son, and I will be his father. 7 And I will establish his kingdom for ever, if he be firm to do my commandments and mine ordinances, as at this day. 8 And now in the sight of all Israel, the congregation of Jehovah, and in the audience of our God*GodHebrew: Elohim — keep and seek for all the commandments of Jehovah your God*GodHebrew: Elohim that ye may possess the good land, and leave it as an inheritance to your children after you for ever. 9 And thou, Solomon my son, know the God*GodHebrew: Elohim of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for Jehovah searches all hearts, and discerns all the imaginations of the thoughts. If thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cut thee off for ever. 10 Consider now, that Jehovah has chosen thee to build a house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it.

11 And David gave to Solomon his son the pattern of the porch, and of its houses, and of its treasuries, and of its upper chambers, and of its inner chambers, and of the house of the mercy-seat; 12 and the pattern of all that he had by the Spirit, of the courts of the house of Jehovah, and of all the chambers round about, for the treasuries of the house of God*GodHebrew: Elohim and for the treasuries of the dedicated things; 13 and for the courses of the priests and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of Jehovah, and for all the instruments of service in the house of Jehovah: 14 gold by weight for things of gold, for all utensils of each kind of service; for all utensils of silver, by weight, for all utensils of each kind of service; 15 and the weight of the golden candlesticks, and of their golden lamps, by weight for every candlestick, and for its lamps; and for the silver candlesticks, by weight, for the candlestick and for its lamps, according to the use of every candlestick; 16 and gold by weight for the tables of the loaves to be set in rows, for every table; and silver for the tables of silver; 17 and pure gold for the forks, and the bowls, and the goblets; and for the golden basons by weight for every bason; and for the silver basons by weight for every bason; 18 and for the altar of incense, refined gold by weight; and the pattern of the chariot of the cherubim of gold, which spread out their wings and cover the ark of the covenant of Jehovah. 19 All this said David, in writing, by Jehovah’s hand upon me, instructing as to all the works of the pattern. 20 And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and courageous, and do it; fear not nor be dismayed: for Jehovah Elohim, my God*GodHebrew: Elohim will be with thee; he will not leave thee, neither forsake thee, until all the work for the service of the house of Jehovah is finished. 21 And behold, the courses of the priests and the Levites are for all the service of the house of God*GodHebrew: Elohim and thou hast with thee for all manner of workmanship every willing man, skilful for every sort of service; and the princes and all the people are wholly at thy commandment.

Cap. 17:4;22:8. o casă Numelui Meu, căci ești un om de război și ai vărsat sânge.’ 4 Domnul Dumnezeul lui Israel m-a ales*1 Sam. 16:7-13. din toată casa tatălui meu pentru ca să fiu împărat al lui Israel pe vecie, căci pe Iuda*Gen. 49:8. Cap. 5:2.Ps. 60:7;78:68. l-a ales căpetenie, casa*1 Sam. 16:1. tatălui meu a ales-o din casa lui Iuda și dintre*1 Sam. 16:12,13. fiii tatălui meu pe mine m-a pus să domnesc peste tot Israelul. 5 Dintre*Cap. 3:1;23:1. toți fiii mei – căci Domnul mi-a dat mulți fii – a ales pe fiul meu Solomon*Cap. 22:9. ca să-l pună pe scaunul de domnie al împărăției Domnului peste Israel. 6 El mi-a zis: ‘Fiul tău Solomon*2 Sam. 7:13,14. Cap. 22:9,10.2 Cron. 1:9. Îmi va zidi casa și curțile, căci l-am ales ca fiu al Meu și-i voi fi Tată. 7 Îi voi întări împărăția pe vecie, dacă se va ține*Cap. 22:13., ca astăzi, de împlinirea poruncilor și rânduielilor Mele.’ 8 Acum, înaintea întregului Israel, înaintea adunării Domnului și în fața Dumnezeului nostru, care vă aude, păziți și puneți-vă la inimă toate poruncile Domnului Dumnezeului vostru, ca să stăpâniți această bună țară și s-o lăsați de moștenire fiilor voștri, după voi, pe vecie. 9 Și tu, fiule Solomoane, cunoaște*Ier. 9:24.Osea 4:1.Ioan 17:3. pe Dumnezeul tatălui tău și slujește-I cu toată*2 Împ. 20:3.Ps. 101:2. inima și cu un suflet binevoitor, căci Domnul*1 Sam. 16:7.1 Împ. 8:39. Cap. 29:17.Ps. 7:9;139:1.Prov. 17:3.Ier. 11:20;17:10;20:12.Apoc. 2:23. cercetează toate inimile și pătrunde toate închipuirile și toate gândurile. Dacă-L*2 Cron. 15:2. vei căuta, Se va lăsa găsit de tine, dar, dacă-L vei părăsi, te va lepăda și El pe vecie. 10 Vezi acum că Domnul*Vers. 6. te-a ales ca să zidești o casă care să-I slujească de locaș sfânt. Întărește-te și lucrează!"

11 David a dat fiului său Solomon chipul*Exod 25:40. Vers. 19. prispei și clădirilor, odăilor vistieriei, odăilor de sus, odăilor dinăuntru și al odăii pentru scaunul îndurării. 12 I-a dat planul a tot ce avea în minte cu privire la curțile Casei Domnului și toate odăile de jur împrejur pentru vistieriile*Cap. 26:20. Casei lui Dumnezeu și vistieriile Sfântului Locaș 13 și cu privire la cetele preoților și leviților, la tot ce privea slujba Casei Domnului și la toate uneltele pentru slujba Casei Domnului. 14 I-a dat chipul uneltelor de aur, cu greutatea celor ce trebuiau să fie de aur pentru toate uneltele fiecărei slujbe, și chipul tuturor uneltelor de argint, cu greutatea lor, pentru toate uneltele fiecărei slujbe. 15 A dat greutatea sfeșnicelor de aur și a candelelor lor de aur, cu greutatea fiecărui sfeșnic și a candelelor lui și greutatea sfeșnicelor de argint, cu greutatea fiecărui sfeșnic și a candelelor lui, după întrebuințarea fiecărui sfeșnic. 16 I-a dat greutatea de aur pentru mesele pâinilor pentru punerea înainte, pentru fiecare masă, și greutatea de argint pentru mesele de argint. 17 I-a dat chipul furculițelor, lighenelor și ceștilor de aur curat; chipul potirelor de aur, cu greutatea fiecărui potir, și a potirelor de argint, cu greutatea fiecărui potir, 18 și chipul altarului tămâii în aur curățit, cu greutatea lui. I-a mai dat și chipul carului heruvimilor*Exod 25:18-22.1 Sam. 4:4.1 Împ. 6:23. de aur, care își întind aripile și acoperă chivotul legământului Domnului. 19 „Toate acestea", a zis David, „toate lucrările izvodului acestuia, mi le-a făcut cunoscute Domnul, însemnându-le*Exod 25:40. Vers. 11,12. în scris cu mâna Lui." 20 David a zis fiului său Solomon: „Întărește-te*Deut. 31:7,8.Ios. 1:6,7,9. Cap. 22:13., îmbărbătează-te și lucrează; nu te teme și nu te înspăimânta! Căci Domnul Dumnezeu, Dumnezeul meu, va fi cu tine. El nu te va lăsa*Ios. 1:5., nici nu te va părăsi până se va isprăvi toată lucrarea pentru slujba Casei Domnului. 21 Iată, ai lângă tine cetele*Cap. 24;25;26. preoților și leviților pentru toată slujba Casei lui Dumnezeu și iată că ai lângă tine, pentru toată lucrarea, toți oamenii binevoitori și îndemânatici în tot felul de lucrări*Exod 35:25,26;36:1,2. și căpeteniile și tot poporul, supuși la toate poruncile tale."
