Deuteronômio 11

1 So sollst du denn Jehova, deinen Gott, lieben und seine Vorschriften *S. die Anm. zu 3. Mose 8,35 beobachten und seine Satzungen und seine Rechte und seine Gebote alle Tage. 2 Und erkennet *O. ihr erkennet heute-denn nicht mit euren Kindern rede ich, die es nicht wissen und die es nicht gesehen haben-die Zucht Jehovas, eures Gottes, seine Größe, seine starke Hand und seinen ausgestreckten Arm, 3 und seine Zeichen und seine Taten, die er in Ägypten getan hat, an dem Pharao, dem Könige von Ägypten, und an seinem ganzen Lande; 4 und was er getan hat an der Heeresmacht Ägyptens, an seinen Rossen und seinen Wagen, über welche er die Wasser des Schilfmeeres hinströmen ließ, als sie euch nachjagten; und Jehova hat sie vernichtet bis auf diesen Tag; 5 und was er euch in der Wüste getan hat, bis ihr an diesen Ort kamet; 6 und was er an Dathan und Abiram getan hat, den Söhnen Eliabs, des Sohnes Rubens: Wie die Erde ihren Mund auftat und sie inmitten von ganz Israel verschlang samt ihren Familien *Eig. ihren Häusern und ihren Zelten und allem Bestehenden, das in ihrem Gefolge war. 7 Denn eure Augen haben all das große Werk Jehovas gesehen, das er getan hat.

8 Und so beobachtet das ganze Gebot, das ich dir heute gebiete, damit ihr stark seiet und hineinkommet und das Land besitzet, wohin ihr hinüberziehet, um es in Besitz zu nehmen; 9 und damit ihr eure Tage verlängert in dem Lande, das Jehova euren Vätern geschworen hat, ihnen und ihrem Samen zu geben, ein Land, das von Milch und Honig fließt. 10 Denn das Land, wohin du kommst, um es in Besitz zu nehmen, ist nicht wie das Land Ägypten, von wo ihr ausgezogen seid, wo du deine Saat sätest und mit deinem Fuße *d. h. durch treten eines Schöpfrades wässertest, wie einen Krautgarten; 11 sondern das Land, wohin ihr hinüberziehet, um es in Besitz zu nehmen, ist ein Land mit Bergen und Tälern; vom Regen des Himmels trinkt es Wasser; 12 ein Land, auf welches Jehova, dein Gott, acht hat: Beständig sind die Augen Jehovas, deines Gottes, darauf gerichtet, vom Anfang des Jahres bis zum Ende des Jahres. 13 Und es wird geschehen wenn ihr fleißig auf meine Gebote höret, die ich euch heute gebiete, Jehova, euren Gott, zu lieben und ihm zu dienen mit eurem ganzen Herzen und mit eurer ganzen Seele, 14 so werde ich den Regen eures Landes geben zu seiner Zeit, den Frühregen und den Spätregen, damit du dein Getreide und deinen Most und dein Öl einsammelst; 15 und ich werde deinem Vieh Kraut geben auf deinem Felde, und du wirst essen und satt werden. 16 Hütet euch, daß euer Herz nicht verführt werde, und ihr abweichet und anderen Göttern dienet und euch vor ihnen bücket, 17 und der Zorn Jehovas wider euch entbrenne, und er den Himmel verschließe, daß kein Regen sei, und der Erdboden seinen Ertrag nicht gebe, und ihr bald aus dem guten Lande vertilgt werdet, das Jehova euch gibt.

18 Und ihr sollt diese meine Worte auf euer Herz und auf eure Seele legen, und sie zum Zeichen auf eure Hand binden, und sie sollen zu Stirnbändern zwischen euren Augen sein. 19 Und lehret sie eure Kinder, indem ihr davon redet, wenn du in deinem Hause sitzest, und wenn du auf dem Wege gehst, und wenn du dich niederlegst, und wenn du aufstehst; 20 und schreibe sie auf die Pfosten deines Hauses und an deine Tore, 21 auf daß eure Tage und die Tage eurer Kinder sich mehren in dem Lande, welches Jehova euren Vätern geschworen hat, ihnen zu geben, wie die Tage des Himmels über der Erde. 22 Denn wenn ihr dieses ganze Gebot, das ich euch *E. l. euch heute zu tun gebiete, fleißig beobachtet, Jehova, euren Gott, zu lieben, auf allen seinen Wegen zu wandeln und ihm anzuhangen, 23 so wird Jehova alle diese Nationen vor euch austreiben; und ihr werdet Nationen in Besitz nehmen, größer und stärker als ihr. 24 Jeder Ort, auf welchen eure Fußsohle treten wird, wird euer sein: von der Wüste und dem Libanon und vom Strome, dem Strome Phrat, bis an das hintere *d. h. westliche Meer wird eure Grenze sein. 25 Niemand wird vor euch bestehen; euren Schrecken und eure Furcht wird Jehova, euer Gott, auf das ganze Land legen, auf welches ihr treten werdet, so wie er zu euch geredet hat.

26 Siehe, ich lege euch heute Segen und Fluch vor: 27 den Segen, wenn ihr den Geboten Jehovas, eures Gottes, gehorchet, die ich euch heute gebiete; 28 und den Fluch, wenn ihr den Geboten Jehovas, eures Gottes, nicht gehorchet und von dem Wege abweichet, den ich euch heute gebiete, um anderen Göttern nachzugehen, die ihr nicht kennet. 29 Und es soll geschehen, wenn Jehova, dein Gott, dich in das Land bringt, wohin du kommst, um es in Besitz zu nehmen, so sollst du den Segen erteilen auf *O. an. Kap. 27,12 usw.; Jos. 8. 33 dem Berge Ebal. 30 Sind sie nicht jenseit des Jordan, hinter dem Wege gegen Sonnenuntergang im Lande der Kanaaniter, *O. der durch das Land der Kanaaniter führt die in der Ebene wohnen, Gilgal gegenüber, bei den Terebinthen Mores? 31 Denn ihr gehet über den Jordan, um hineinzukommen, das Land in Besitz zu nehmen, das Jehova, euer Gott, euch gibt; und ihr werdet es in Besitz nehmen und darin wohnen. 32 Und so achtet darauf, alle die Satzungen und die Rechte zu tun, die ich euch heute vorlege.

16 Kia mahara ki a koutou, kei māmingatia ō koutou ngākau, kei peka kē koutou, kei mahi ki ngā atua kē, kei koropiko ki a rātou; 17 ā, ka mura te riri o Ihowā ki a koutou, ā, ka tūtakina e ia te rangi, e kore ake ai te ua, e kore ai hoki e tukua mai e te whenua ōna hua. 18 Engari, rongoātia ēnei kupu āku ki roto ki ō koutou ngākau, ki ō koutou wairua; herea hoki hei tohu ki ō koutou ringa, hei pare anō ki waenganui i ō koutou kanohi. 19 Whakaakona atu hoki ki ā koutou tamariki, kōrerotia ina noho i tōu whare, ina haere koe i te huarahi, ina takoto, ina whakatika rānei. 20 Tuhituhia anō hoki ki ngā pou tatau o tōu whare, ki ōu tatau hoki; 21 kia tini ai ōu rā, me ngā rā o ā koutou tamariki ki te whenua i oati ai a Ihowā ki ōu mātua kia hoatu ki a rātou, kia rite ai ki ngā rā o te rangi i runga i te whenua.

22 Ki te āta pupuri hoki koutou i ēnei whakahau katoa e whakahau atu nei ahau ki a koutou kia mahia; ki te aroha ki a Ihowā, ki tō koutou Atua, ki te haere hoki i āna huarahi, ki te awhi ki a ia; 23 nā, ka peia atu e Ihowā ēnei iwi katoa i tō koutou aroaro, ā, ka riro i a koutou ngā iwi he nui ake, he kaha ake i a koutou. 24 Mō koutou ngā wāhi katoa e takahia e te kapu o ō koutou waewae; kei te koraha, kei Repanōna hoki, kei te awa, kei Uparati, ā tae noa ki te moana ki te hauāuru, ngā rohe ki a koutou. 25 E kore e tū te tangata ki tō koutou aroaro; ka whakapāngia hoki e Ihowā, e tō koutou Atua, tō koutou wehi, me tō koutou tūiri ki te mata katoa o te whenua e takahia e koutou, ka rite ki tāna i kōrero ai ki a koutou.
