1 To the Chief Musician on neginoth. A maschil, a Psalm of David, when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, Does not David hide himself with us? Save me, O God, by your name, and judge me by your strength.

2 Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.

3 For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.

4 Behold, God is my helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.

5 He shall reward evil unto my enemies: cut them off in your truth.

6 I will freely sacrifice unto you: I will praise your name, O LORD; for it is good.

7 For he has delivered me out of all trouble: and my eye has seen his desire upon my enemies.

1 Salva-me, ó Deus, pelo teu nome, e faze-me justiça pelo teu poder. 2 Ó Deus, ouve a minha oração; inclina os teus ouvidos às palavras da minha boca. 3 Porque estranhos se levantam contra mim, e tiranos procuram a minha vida; não põem a Deus perante os seus olhos. (Selá)

4 Eis que Deus é o meu ajudador; o Senhor está com aqueles que sustêm a minha alma. 5 Ele pagará o mal daqueles que me andam espiando; destrói-os por tua verdade.

6 Eu te oferecerei voluntariamente sacrifícios; louvarei o teu nome, ó Senhor, porque é bom, 7 porque me livrou de toda a angústia; e os meus olhos viram cumprido o meu desejo acerca dos meus inimigos.
