1 — Assim diz o Senhor Deus: O portão do átrio interior, que dá para o leste, estará fechado durante os seis dias de trabalho, mas será aberto no sábado e também na Festa da Lua Nova. 2 O príncipe entrará de fora pelo vestíbulo do portão e permanecerá junto ao batente do portão. Os sacerdotes prepararão o holocausto dele e os seus sacrifícios pacíficos; ele se prostrará no limiar do portão e sairá. Mas o portão não será fechado até a tarde. 3 O povo da terra adorará na entrada do mesmo portão, nos sábados e nas Festas da Lua Nova, diante do Senhor. 4 O holocausto que o príncipe oferecer ao Senhor será, no dia de sábado, seis cordeiros sem defeito e um carneiro sem defeito. 5 A oferta de cereais será de dezessete litros e meio para cada carneiro; para cada cordeiro, a oferta de cereais será o que ele puder dar; e, para cada medida de cereais, três litros e meio de azeite. 6 Mas, na Festa da Lua Nova, será um novilho sem defeito e seis cordeiros e um carneiro; eles serão sem defeito. 7 Preparará por oferta de cereais dezessete litros e meio para cada novilho e dezessete litros e meio para cada carneiro, mas, pelos cordeiros, segundo as suas posses; e, para cada medida de cereais, três litros e meio de azeite. 8 Quando o príncipe entrar, entrará pelo vestíbulo do portão e sairá pelo mesmo caminho.

9 — Mas, quando o povo da terra comparecer diante do Senhor, nas festas fixas, aquele que entrar pelo portão do norte, para adorar, sairá pelo portão do sul; e aquele que entrar pelo portão do sul sairá pelo portão do norte. Não sairá pelo mesmo portão pelo qual entrou, mas sairá pelo portão oposto. 10 O príncipe estará no meio deles, quando eles entrarem; quando eles saírem, ele sairá. 11 Nas solenidades e nas festas fixas, a oferta de cereais será de dezessete litros e meio para cada novilho e dezessete litros e meio para cada carneiro; mas, pelos cordeiros, será o que puder dar; e, para cada medida de cereais, três litros e meio de azeite.

12 — Quando o príncipe quiser oferecer um holocausto ou sacrifícios pacíficos, como oferta voluntária ao Senhor, então lhe abrirão o portão que dá para o leste, e ele oferecerá o seu holocausto e os seus sacrifícios pacíficos, como costuma fazer no dia de sábado. Ele sairá, e o portão será fechado depois que ele sair.

13 — Prepare um cordeiro de um ano, sem defeito, em holocausto ao Senhor, cada dia. Esta oferta deverá ser feita todas as manhãs. 14 Juntamente com ele, prepare todas as manhãs uma oferta de cereais para o Senhor: três litros de farinha e, para misturar com ela, um litro de azeite. Isto é estatuto perpétuo e contínuo. 15 Assim prepararão o cordeiro, a oferta de cereais e o azeite todas as manhãs, em holocausto contínuo.

16 — Assim diz o Senhor Deus: Se o príncipe der um presente de sua herança a um dos seus filhos, ele pertencerá aos filhos; será propriedade deles por herança. 17 Mas, se ele der um presente da sua herança a um dos seus servos, isso será dele até o ano da liberdade, quando voltará a ser do príncipe. Porque aos seus filhos, e somente a eles, pertencerá a herança. 18 O príncipe não tomará nada da herança do povo, expulsando-os das suas propriedades. Da sua própria propriedade deixará herança aos seus filhos, para que o meu povo não seja espalhado, cada um para longe da sua propriedade.

19 Depois disto, o homem me levou, pela entrada que estava ao lado do portão, para as câmaras santas dos sacerdotes, as quais davam para o norte; e eis que havia um lugar nos fundos, para o lado oeste. 20 Ele me disse:

— Este é o lugar onde os sacerdotes cozinharão a oferta pela culpa e a oferta pelo pecado e onde assarão as ofertas de cereais, para que não tragam nada para o átrio exterior e assim santifiquem o povo.

21 Então ele me levou para fora, para o átrio exterior, e me fez passar pelos quatro cantos do átrio; e eis que em cada canto do átrio havia outro átrio. 22 Nos quatro cantos do átrio havia átrios pequenos, menores, de vinte metros de comprimento por quinze de largura. Os quatro tinham as mesmas dimensões. 23 Havia um muro ao redor dos átrios, ao redor dos quatro, e havia lugares para cozinhar ao pé dos muros ao redor. 24 Então ele me disse:

— São estas as cozinhas, onde os ministros do templo cozinharão os sacrifícios do povo.

It must also be opened on the New Moon Festival.2 »‘The prince must enter from the outside through the entrance hall of the gateway. He must stand by the doorposts of the gateway. Then the priests must prepare the prince's burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. He must worship at the entrance of the gateway and then leave. The gate must not be closed until evening.3 »‘The common people must worship at the door of the gateway in the presence of Jehovah on the weekly days of worship and on New Moon Festivals.4 »‘The prince must offer to Jehovah six lambs that have no defects and one ram that has no defects as a burnt offering on the day of worship.5 »‘The grain offering that is to be brought with the ram must be a half-bushel, and the grain offering that is to be brought with the lambs must be whatever the prince can bring. One gallon of olive oil must be brought with each half-bushel of grain.6 »‘On the first day of the month, the burnt offering must be one young bull, six lambs, and one ram-all animals that have no defects.7 »‘With each young bull and each ram the offering must include a half-bushel of grain, and with each lamb the offering must be whatever the prince wants to bring. One gallon of olive oil must be offered with each half-bushel of grain.8 »‘When the prince enters, he must enter through the entrance hall of the gateway. He must enter and leave the same way.9 »‘The people will enter Jehovah’s presence at the time of the appointed festivals. Those entering through the north gate to worship must leave through the south gate. Those entering through the south gate must leave through the north gate. They must not leave through the same gate they entered. They must leave through the opposite gate.10 »‘The prince must be among them. When they enter, he must enter. When they leave, he must leave.11 On festival days and at appointed festivals, a grain offering of a half-bushel must be brought with each young bull, and a half-bushel must be brought with each ram. But with the lambs, the prince may bring whatever he wants to bring. One gallon of olive oil must be brought with each half-bushel of grain.12 »‘When the prince prepares a freewill burnt offering, either a burnt offering or a fellowship offering to Jehovah, the east gate must be opened for him. He must sacrifice burnt offerings and fellowship offerings as he does on the day of worship. When he leaves, the gate must be shut after him.13 »‘Prepare a year-old lamb that has no defects every day as a burnt offering to Jehovah. Do this every morning.14 »‘Also, prepare a grain offering with it every morning: three-and-a-third quarts of grain and one-and-a-third quarts of olive oil to moisten the flour. It will be a grain offering dedicated to Jehovah. These rules are to be followed always.15 »‘Prepare the lamb, the grain offering, and the olive oil every morning as a daily burnt offering.’16 »The Lord Jehovah says: ‘Suppose the prince offers one of his sons a gift from his property. The gift will belong to his descendants because it is their inheritance.17 »‘Suppose the prince offers a gift from his property to one of his servants. The gift will belong to the servant only until the year of freedom. Then the gift will go back to the prince. Only his sons can inherit his property.18 »‘The prince must not take any of the people's property. He must not force them to give up their property. He must give his own property as an inheritance to his sons so that none of my people will be separated from their property.’«19 The man brought me through a passage beside the gateway to the side rooms that faced north. These rooms were reserved for the priests. He showed me a place on the west side of the rooms.20 He said to me: »This is the place where the priests must boil the meat for the guilt offering and the offering for sin. This is the place where they must bake grain offerings so that they do not have to bring the offerings into the outer courtyard. This way they will not transfer holiness to the people.«21 The man led me to the outer courtyard and took me past the four corners of the courtyard. I saw that in each corner of the courtyard there was a smaller courtyard.22 The smaller courtyards that were in each of the four corners of the courtyard were sixty feet long and forty-five feet wide. All four of the smaller courtyards in the corners of the courtyard were the same size.23 Around each of the four courtyards were stonewalls, and these walls were equipped with fireplaces.24 The man said to me: »These are the kitchens where the Temple servants must boil the people's sacrifices.«
