1 Estes foram filhos de Israel: Rúben, Simeão, Levi, Judá, Issacar, Zebulom, 2 Dã, José, Benjamim, Naftali, Gade e Aser.

3 Os filhos de Judá foram: Er, Onã e Selá; estes três lhe nasceram de Bate-Sua, a cananeia. Er, o primogênito de Judá, foi mau aos olhos do Senhor, e por isso o Senhor o matou. 4 Porém Tamar, nora de Judá, lhe deu à luz Perez e Zera. Todos os filhos de Judá foram cinco.

5 Os filhos de Perez foram: Hezrom e Hamul. 6 Os filhos de Zera foram: Zinri, Etã, Hemã, Calcol e Dara, cinco ao todo. 7 Os filhos de Carmi foram: Acar, o perturbador de Israel, que pecou na coisa condenada. 8 O filho de Etã foi Azarias.

9 Os filhos de Hezrom, que lhe nasceram, foram: Jerameel, Rão e Quelubai. 10 Rão gerou Aminadabe; Aminadabe gerou Naassom, príncipe dos filhos de Judá; 11 Naassom gerou Salma, e Salma gerou Boaz; 12 Boaz gerou Obede, e Obede gerou Jessé; 13 Jessé gerou Eliabe, seu primogênito, Abinadabe, o segundo, Simeia, o terceiro, 14 Natanael, o quarto, Radai, o quinto, 15 Ozém, o sexto, e Davi, o sétimo. 16 As irmãs destes foram Zeruia e Abigail. Os filhos de Zeruia foram três: Abisai, Joabe e Asael. 17 Abigail deu à luz Amasa; e o pai de Amasa foi Jéter, o ismaelita.

18 Calebe, filho de Hezrom, gerou filhos de Azuba, sua mulher, e de Jeriote; os filhos desta foram: Jeser, Sobabe e Ardom. 19 Azuba morreu, e Calebe tomou para si Efrata, da qual lhe nasceu Hur. 20 Hur gerou Uri, e Uri gerou Bezalel.

21 Então Hezrom teve relações com a filha de Maquir, pai de Gileade; ele tinha sessenta anos de idade quando a tomou, e ela deu à luz Segube. 22 Segube gerou Jair, que teve vinte e três cidades na terra de Gileade. 23 Gesur e Arã tomaram as aldeias de Jair, juntamente com Quenate e as suas aldeias, a saber, sessenta lugares; todos estes foram filhos de Maquir, pai de Gileade. 24 Depois da morte de Hezrom, em Calebe-Efrata, Abia, mulher de Hezrom, lhe deu à luz Azur, pai de Tecoa.

25 Os filhos de Jerameel, primogênito de Hezrom, foram: Rão, o primogênito, Buna, Orém, Ozém e Aías. 26 Jerameel teve outra mulher, cujo nome era Atara; esta foi a mãe de Onã. 27 Os filhos de Rão, primogênito de Jerameel, foram: Maaz, Jamim e Equer. 28 Os filhos de Onã foram: Samai e Jada; e os filhos de Samai foram: Nadabe e Abisur. 29 A mulher de Abisur chamava-se Abiail e lhe deu à luz Abã e Molide. 30 Os filhos de Nadabe foram: Selede e Apaim; e Selede morreu sem filhos. 31 O filho de Apaim foi Isi; o filho de Isi foi Sesã. E o filho de Sesã foi Alai.

32 Os filhos de Jada, irmão de Samai, foram: Jéter e Jônatas; e Jéter morreu sem filhos. 33 Os filhos de Jônatas foram: Pelete e Zaza; estes foram os filhos de Jerameel.

34 Sesã não teve filhos, mas filhas; e Sesã tinha um servo egípcio, cujo nome era Jara. 35 Sesã deu sua filha por mulher a Jara, a quem ela deu à luz Atai. 36 Atai gerou Natã, e Natã gerou Zabade. 37 Zabade gerou Eflal, e Eflal gerou Obede. 38 Obede gerou Jeú, e Jeú gerou Azarias. 39 Azarias gerou Heles, e Heles gerou Eleasa. 40 Eleasa gerou Sismai, e Sismai gerou Salum. 41 Salum gerou Jecamias, e Jecamias gerou Elisama.

42 O primogênito de Calebe, irmão de Jerameel, foi Maressa, que foi o pai de Zife; o filho de Maressa foi Abi-Hebrom. 43 Os filhos de Hebrom foram: Coré, Tapua, Requém e Sema. 44 Sema gerou Raão, pai de Jorqueão; e Requém gerou Samai. 45 O filho de Samai foi Maom; e Maom foi o pai de Bete-Zur.

46 Efá, a concubina de Calebe, deu à luz Harã, Mosa e Gazez; e Harã gerou Gazez. 47 Os filhos de Jadai foram: Regém, Jotão, Gesã, Pelete, Efá e Saafe. 48 De Maaca, sua concubina, Calebe gerou Seber e Tiraná. 49 Maaca deu à luz também Saafe, pai de Madmana, e Seva, pai de Macbena e de Gibeá; e Acsa foi filha de Calebe.

50 Estes foram os filhos de Calebe. Os filhos de Hur, primogênito de Efrata, foram: Sobal, pai de Quiriate-Jearim, 51 Salma, pai dos belemitas, e Harefe, pai de Bete-Gader. 52 Os filhos de Sobal, pai de Quiriate-Jearim, foram: Haroé e Hazi-Hamenuote. 53 As famílias de Quiriate-Jearim foram: os itritas, os puítas, os sumateus e os misraeus; destes procederam os zoratitas e os estaoleus.

54 Os filhos de Salma foram: Belém e os netofatitas, Atrote-Bete-Joabe e Hazi-Hamanaate, zoreu.

55 As famílias dos escribas que habitavam em Jabez foram os tiratitas, os simeatitas e os sucatitas; estes são os queneus, que vieram de Hamate, pai da casa de Recabe.

The sons of Zeruiah: Abishai, Joab, and Asahel, three. 17 Abigail bore Amasa; and the father of Amasa was Jether the Ishmaelite.

18 Caleb the son of Hezron became the father of children by Azubah his wife, and by Jerioth; and these were her sons: Jesher, Shobab, and Ardon. 19 Azubah died, and Caleb married Ephrath, who bore him Hur. 20 Hur became the father of Uri, and Uri became the father of Bezalel.

21 Afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Machir the father of Gilead, whom he took as wife when he was sixty years old; and she bore him Segub. 22 Segub became the father of Jair, who had twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead. 23 Geshur and Aram took the towns of Jair from them, with Kenath, and its villages, even sixty cities. All these were the sons of Machir the father of Gilead. 24 After Hezron died in Caleb Ephrathah, Abijah, Hezron’s wife, bore him Ashhur the father of Tekoa.

25 The sons of Jerahmeel the firstborn of Hezron were Ram the firstborn, Bunah, Oren, Ozem, and Ahijah. 26 Jerahmeel had another wife, whose name was Atarah. She was the mother of Onam. 27 The sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were Maaz, Jamin, and Eker. 28 The sons of Onam were Shammai and Jada. The sons of Shammai: Nadab and Abishur. 29 The name of the wife of Abishur was Abihail; and she bore him Ahban and Molid. 30 The sons of Nadab: Seled and Appaim; but Seled died without children. 31 The son of Appaim: Ishi. The son of Ishi: Sheshan. The son of Sheshan: Ahlai. 32 The sons of Jada the brother of Shammai: Jether and Jonathan; and Jether died without children. 33 The sons of Jonathan: Peleth and Zaza. These were the sons of Jerahmeel. 34 Now Sheshan had no sons, but only daughters. Sheshan had a servant, an Egyptian, whose name was Jarha. 35 Sheshan gave his daughter to Jarha his servant as wife; and she bore him Attai. 36 Attai became the father of Nathan, and Nathan became the father of Zabad, 37 and Zabad became the father of Ephlal, and Ephlal became the father of Obed, 38 and Obed became the father of Jehu, and Jehu became the father of Azariah, 39 and Azariah became the father of Helez, and Helez became the father of Eleasah, 40 and Eleasah became the father of Sismai, and Sismai became the father of Shallum, 41 and Shallum became the father of Jekamiah, and Jekamiah became the father of Elishama.

42 The sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were Mesha his firstborn, who was the father of Ziph, and the sons of Mareshah the father of Hebron. 43 The sons of Hebron: Korah, Tappuah, Rekem, and Shema. 44 Shema became the father of Raham, the father of Jorkeam; and Rekem became the father of Shammai. 45 The son of Shammai was Maon; and Maon was the father of Beth Zur. 46 Ephah, Caleb’s concubine, bore Haran, Moza, and Gazez; and Haran became the father of Gazez. 47 The sons of Jahdai: Regem, Jothan, Geshan, Pelet, Ephah, and Shaaph. 48 Maacah, Caleb’s concubine, bore Sheber and Tirhanah. 49 She bore also Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbena and the father of Gibea; and the daughter of Caleb was Achsah.

50 These were the sons of Caleb, the son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah: Shobal the father of Kiriath Jearim, 51 Salma the father of Bethlehem, and Hareph the father of Beth Gader. 52 Shobal the father of Kiriath Jearim had sons: Haroeh, half of the Menuhoth. 53 The families of Kiriath Jearim: the Ithrites, the Puthites, the Shumathites, and the Mishraites; from them came the Zorathites and the Eshtaolites. 54 The sons of Salma: Bethlehem, the Netophathites, Atroth Beth Joab, and half of the Manahathites, the Zorites. 55 The families of scribes who lived at Jabez: the Tirathites, the Shimeathites, and the Sucathites. These are the Kenites who came from Hammath, the father of the house of Rechab.
