1 Jehovah spoke to Moses:2 »Give the following regulations for the people of Israel: ‘When any of you have been given to Jehovah in fulfillment of a special vow, you may be set free by the payment of the following sums of money,3 »‘This is according to the official standard: adult male, twenty to sixty years old: fifty pieces of silver, adult female: thirty pieces of silver, young male, five to twenty years old: twenty pieces of silver, young female: ten pieces of silver, infant male under five: five pieces of silver, infant female: three pieces of silver, male above sixty years of age: fifteen pieces of silver, female above sixty: ten pieces of silver.4 »‘If it is a woman, give twelve ounces.5 »‘For a boy from five to twenty years old, give eight ounces and for a girl give four ounces.6 »‘For a boy from one month to five years old, give two ounces of silver and for a girl give about one ounce.7 For a man sixty years or over, give six ounces and for a woman give four ounces.8 »‘The person who is too poor to pay the required amount must stand in front of the priest. The priest will determine the amount based on what the person can afford.9 »‘If the vow is to give the kind of animal that people offer to Jehovah, it will be considered holy.10 »‘Do not exchange or substitute animals, a good one for a bad one or a bad one for a good one. If you do exchange one animal for another, then both animals will be holy.11 »‘If it is an unclean animal that cannot be brought to Jehovah as an offering, bring it in front of the priest.12 »‘The priest will determine what its value is. The value will be whatever the priest decides.13 »‘If you want to buy it back, you must pay its full value plus one-fifth more.14 »‘If you give your house to Jehovah as something holy, the priest will determine what its value is. The value will be whatever the priest decides.15 »‘If you want to buy it back, you must pay its full value plus one-fifth more.16 »‘If a person gives part of a field to Jehovah as something holy, its value will be based on the seed planted on it. Ground planted with two quarts of barley will be worth twenty ounces of silver.17 »‘If you give your field in the jubilee year, it will have its full value.18 »‘Should you give the field after the jubilee year, the priest will estimate its value based on the number of years left until the next jubilee year.19 »‘If you want to buy it back, you must pay its full value plus one-fifth more.20 »‘If you do not buy it back and it is sold to someone else, it may not be redeemed.21 »‘When the field is released in the jubilee year, it will be holy like a field claimed by Jehovah. It will become the property of the priest.22 »‘You may give a field you bought, not one that was a part of your family property, to Jehovah as something holy.23 »‘The priest must figure out the field's value until the jubilee year. You will pay its value on that day as something holy, belonging to Jehovah.24 »‘In the jubilee year the field will go back to the person from whom it was bought, to whom it belongs as family property.25 »‘All values will be set using the standard weight of the holy place.26 »‘A firstborn animal already belongs to Jehovah because it was born first. Therefore, it cannot be set apart as holy. Whether it is a bull or a sheep, it belongs to Jehovah.27 »‘If it is an unclean animal it must be bought back. The payment will be its full value plus one-fifth more. If it is not bought back, it must be sold at the value given it.28 »‘However, everything dedicated to Jehovah for destruction, a person, an animal, or a field that belongs to you, must not be sold or bought back. Everything dedicated in that way is very holy. It belongs to Jehovah.29 »‘People dedicated this way may not be bought back. They must be put to death.30 »‘One-tenth of what comes from the land, whether grain or fruit, is holy and belongs to Jehovah.31 »‘If you buy back any part of it, you must add one-fifth more to it.32 »‘Every tenth head of cattle or sheep that you counted is holy and belongs to Jehovah.33 »‘You must not look to see if it is good or bad or exchange it. If you do exchange it, both the first animal and its substitute will be holy. They may not be bought back.’«34 These are the commandments Jehovah gave Moses on Mount Sinai for the Israelites.

1 Disse mais o Senhor a Moisés:2 Fala aos filhos de Israel, e dize-lhes: Quando alguém fizer ao Senhor um voto especial que envolve pessoas, o voto será cumprido segundo a tua avaliação das pessoas.3 Se for de um homem, desde a idade de vinte até sessenta anos, a tua avaliação será de cinqüenta siclos de prata, segundo o siclo do santuário.4 Se for mulher, a tua avaliação será de trinta siclos.5 Se for de cinco anos até vinte, a tua avaliação do homem será de vinte siclos, e da mulher dez siclos.6 Se for de um mês até cinco anos, a tua avaliação do homem será de cinco siclos de prata, e da mulher três siclos de prata.7 Se for de sessenta anos para cima, a tua avaliação do homem será de quinze siclos, e da mulher dez siclos.8 Mas, se for mais pobre do que a tua avaliação, será apresentado perante o sacerdote, que o avaliará conforme as posses daquele que tiver feito o voto.9 Se for animal dos que se oferecem em oferta ao Senhor, tudo quanto der dele ao Senhor será santo.10 Não o mudará, nem o trocará, bom por mau, ou mau por bom; mas se de qualquer maneira trocar animal por animal, tanto um como o outro será santo.11 Se for algum animal imundo, dos que não se oferecem em oferta ao Senhor, apresentará o animal diante do sacerdote;12 e o sacerdote o avaliará, seja bom ou seja mau; segundo tu, sacerdote, o avaliares, assim será.13 Mas, se o homem, com efeito, quiser remi-lo, acrescentará a quinta parte sobre a tua avaliação.14 Quando alguém santificar a sua casa para ser santa ao Senhor, o sacerdote a avaliará, seja boa ou seja má; como o sacerdote a avaliar, assim será.15 Mas, se aquele que a tiver santificado quiser remir a sua casa, então acrescentará a quinta parte do dinheiro sobre a tua avaliação, e terá a casa.16 Se alguém santificar ao Senhor uma parte do campo da sua possessão, então a tua avaliação será segundo a sua sementeira: um terreno que leva um hômer de semente de cevada será avaliado em cinqüenta siclos de prata.17 Se ele santificar o seu campo a partir do ano do jubileu, conforme a tua avaliação ficará.18 Mas se santificar o seu campo depois do ano do jubileu, o sacerdote lhe calculará o dinheiro conforme os anos que restam até o ano do jubileu, e assim será feita a tua avaliação.19 Se aquele que tiver santificado o campo, com efeito, quiser remi-lo, acrescentará a quinta parte do dinheiro da tua avaliação, e lhe ficará assegurado o campo.20 Se não o quiser remir, ou se houver vendido o campo a outrem, nunca mais poderá ser remido.21 Mas o campo, quando sair livre no ano do jubileu, será santo ao Senhor, como campo consagrado; a possessão dele será do sacerdote.22 Se alguém santificar ao Senhor um campo que tiver comprado, o qual não for parte do campo da sua possessão,23 o sacerdote lhe contará o valor da tua avaliação até o ano do jubileu; e no mesmo dia dará a tua avaliação, como coisa santa ao Senhor.24 No ano do jubileu o campo tornará àquele de quem tiver sido comprado, isto é, àquele a quem pertencer a possessão do campo.25 Ora, toda tua avaliação se fará conforme o siclo do santuário; o siclo será de vinte jeiras.26 Contudo o primogênito dum animal, que por ser primogênito já pertence ao senhor, ninguém o santificará; seja boi ou gado miúdo, pertence ao Senhor.27 Mas se o primogênito for dum animal imundo, remir-se-á segundo a tua avaliação, e a esta se acrescentará a quinta parte; e se não for remido, será vendido segundo a tua avaliação.28 Todavia, nenhuma coisa consagrada ao Senhor por alguém, daquilo que possui, seja homem, ou animal, ou campo da sua possessão, será vendida nem será remida; toda coisa consagrada será santíssima ao Senhor.29 Nenhuma pessoa que dentre os homens for devotada será resgatada; certamente será morta.30 Também todos os dízimos da terra, quer dos cereais, quer do fruto das árvores, pertencem ao senhor; santos são ao Senhor.31 Se alguém quiser remir uma parte dos seus dízimos, acrescentar-lhe-á a quinta parte.32 Quanto a todo dízimo do gado e do rebanho, de tudo o que passar debaixo da vara, esse dízimo será santo ao Senhor.33 Não se examinará se é bom ou mau, nem se trocará; mas se, com efeito, se trocar, tanto um como o outro será santo; não serão remidos.34 são esses os mandamentos que o Senhor ordenou a Moisés, para os filhos de Israel, no monte Sinai.
