1 On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel.2 He told Aaron: »Take a calf that has no defects for an offering for sin and a ram that has no defects as a burnt offering. Sacrifice them in Jehovah’s presence.3 »Tell the Israelites: ‘Take a male goat as an offering for sin, a calf and a lamb, each one-year-old and without defects, as a burnt offering,4 a bull and a ram as a fellowship offering, and a grain offering mixed with olive oil to sacrifice in Jehovah’s presence. Jehovah will appear to you today.’«5 They took the things Moses commanded and brought them in front of the Tent of Meeting. The entire congregation stood in Jehovah’s presence.6 Moses said: »Jehovah commanded you to offer these sacrifices so that you may see Jehovah’s glory.«7 Moses told Aaron: »Come to the altar and sacrifice an offering for sin and a burnt offering to pay compensation for your sins and the sins of the people and make peace with Jehovah. Then make an offering for the people that they may pay compensation for their wrongdoing and to make peace with Jehovah just as Jehovah has commanded.«8 Aaron came to the altar and slaughtered the calf as his own offering for sin.9 Aaron's sons brought him the blood. He dipped his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar. After that he poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar.10 On the altar he burned the fat, kidneys, and lobe of the liver from the offering for sin as Jehovah commanded Moses.11 He burned the meat and the skin outside the camp.12 He slaughtered the animal for the burnt offering. Aaron's sons gave him the blood. He threw it against the altar on all sides.13 They also gave him the burnt offering. It was cut in pieces and included the head. He burned it on the altar.14 He washed the internal organs and the legs and laid them on top of the burnt offering on the altar.15 He brought the people's offerings. He took the male goat for the people's offering for sin and slaughtered it. Then he sacrificed it to take away sins as he had done before.16 He followed the proper procedures and brought forward the burnt offering and sacrificed it.17 He also brought the grain offering. He took a handful of grain and burned it on the altar in addition to the morning burnt offering.18 He slaughtered the bull and the ram for the people's fellowship offering. Aaron's sons gave him the blood. He threw it against the altar on all sides.19 The fat from the bull and the ram, the fat from the tail, the layer of fat, the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver20 they placed on the breasts. Aaron burned them all on the altar.21 First he took the breasts and the right thighs and presented them to Jehovah just as Moses commanded.22 Aaron raised his hands toward the people and blessed them. He sacrificed the offering for sin, the burnt offering, and the fellowship offering. Then he came down from the altar.23 Moses and Aaron went into the Tent of Meeting. As soon as they came out, they blessed the people. Then Jehovah’s glory appeared to all the people.24 Fire came out from Jehovah’s presence and consumed the burnt offering and the pieces of fat on the altar. As soon as all the people saw this, they shouted and bowed with their faces touching the ground.

1 Ora, ao dia oitavo, Moisés chamou a Arão e seus filhos, e os anciãos de Israel,2 e disse a Arão: Toma um bezerro tenro para oferta pelo pecado, e um carneiro para holocausto, ambos sem defeito, e oferece-os perante o Senhor.3 E falarás aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Tomai um bode para oferta pelo pecado; e um bezerro e um cordeiro, ambos de um ano, e sem defeito, como holocausto;4 também um boi e um carneiro para ofertas pacíficas, para sacrificar perante o Senhor e oferta de cereais, amassada com azeite; porquanto hoje o Senhor vos aparecerá.5 Então trouxeram até a entrada da tenda da revelação o que Moisés ordenara, e chegou-se toda a congregação, e ficou de pé diante do Senhor.6 E disse Moisés: Esta é a coisa que o Senhor ordenou que fizésseis; e a glória do Senhor vos aparecerá.7 Depois disse Moisés a Arão: Chega-te ao altar, e apresenta a tua oferta pelo pecado e o teu holocausto, e faze expiação por ti e pelo povo; também apresenta a oferta do povo, e faze expiação por ele, como ordenou o Senhor.8 Arão, pois, chegou-se ao altar, e imolou o bezerro que era a sua própria oferta pelo pecado.9 Os filhos de Arão trouxeram-lhe o sangue; e ele molhou o dedo no sangue, e o pôs sobre as pontas do altar, e derramou o sangue à base do altar;10 mas a gordura, e os rins, e o redenho do fígado, tirados da oferta pelo pecado, queimou-os sobre o altar, como o Senhor ordenara a Moisés.11 E queimou ao fogo fora do arraial a carne e o couro.12 Depois imolou o holocausto, e os filhos de Arão lhe entregaram o sangue, e ele o espargiu sobre o altar em redor.13 Também lhe entregaram o holocausto, pedaço por pedaço, e a cabeça; e ele os queimou sobre o altar.14 E lavou a fressura e as pernas, e as queimou sobre o holocausto no altar.15 Então apresentou a oferta do povo e, tomando o bode que era a oferta pelo pecado do povo, imolou-o e o ofereceu pelo pecado, como fizera com o primeiro.16 Apresentou também o holocausto, e o ofereceu segundo a ordenança.17 E apresentou a oferta de cereais e, tomando dela um punhado, queimou-o sobre o altar, além do holocausto da manhã.18 Imolou também o boi e o carneiro em sacrifício de oferta pacífica pelo povo; e os filhos de Arão entregaram-lhe o sangue, que ele espargiu sobre o altar em redor,19 como também a gordura do boi e do carneiro, a cauda gorda, e o que cobre a fressura, e os rins, e o redenho do fígado;20 e puseram a gordura sobre os peitos, e ele queimou a gordura sobre o altar;21 mas os peitos e a coxa direita, ofereceu-os Arão por oferta movida perante o Senhor, como Moisés tinha ordenado.22 Depois Arão, levantando as mãos para o povo, o abençoou e desceu, tendo acabado de oferecer a oferta pelo pecado, o holocausto e as ofertas pacíficas.23 E Moisés e Arão entraram na tenda da revelação; depois saíram, e abençoaram o povo; e a glória do Senhor apareceu a todo o povo,24 pois saiu fogo de diante do Senhor, e consumiu o holocausto e a gordura sobre o altar; o que vendo todo o povo, jubilaram e prostraram-se sobre os seus rostos.
