1 Jehovah called to Moses. He spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting, He said:2 »Tell the Israelites: When you bring an offering to Jehovah, bring your offering of animals from the herd or the flock.3 »If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, it should be a male without defect. He shall offer it at the doorway of the Tent of Meeting, that he may be accepted before Jehovah.4 »He should lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering. It may then be accepted for him to make atonement with Jehovah on his behalf.5 »Slaughter the bull in Jehovahs presence. Aaron's sons, the priests, will offer the blood. They will throw it against all sides of the altar that is at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.6 »Skin the burnt offering, and cut it into pieces.7 »The sons of the priest Aaron will start a fire on the altar and lay the wood on the fire.8 »Aaron's sons, the priests, will also lay the pieces, the head, and the fat on top of the wood burning on the altar.9 »Wash the internal organs and legs. The priest will then burn all of it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, an offering by fire, a soothing aroma to Jehovah.10 »Should you are offer one of your sheep or goats; it must be a male without any defects.11 »Slaughter it on the north side of the altar. The priests should throw its blood on all four sides of the altar.12 »After you cut it up, the officiating priest will lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire.13 »Wash the internal organs and the hind legs. The priest will present the sacrifice to Jehovah and burn all of it on the altar. The odor of this food offering is pleasing to Jehovah.14 »If you are offering a bird as a burnt offering, it must be a dove or a pigeon.15 »A priest will take the bird to the copper altar. He will wring its neck and put its head on the fire. Then he will drain out its blood on one side of the altar,16 »Remove the bird's crop with its feathers, and throw them on the ash heap at the east side of the altar.17 »Finally, he will take the bird by its wings, tear it partially open, and send it up in smoke with a smell that pleases Jehovah.
1 Ora, chamou o Senhor a Moisés e, da tenda da revelação, lhe disse:2 Fala aos filhos de Israel e dize-lhes: Quando algum de vós oferecer oferta ao Senhor, oferecereis as vossas ofertas do gado, isto é, do gado vacum e das ovelhas.3 Se a sua oferta for holocausto de gado vacum, oferecerá ele um macho sem defeito; à porta da tenda da revelação o oferecerá, para que ache favor perante o Senhor.4 Porá a sua mão sobre a cabeça do holocausto, e este será aceito a favor dele, para a sua expiação.5 Depois imolará o novilho perante o Senhor; e os filhos de Arão, os sacerdotes, oferecerão o sangue, e espargirão o sangue em redor sobre o altar que está à porta da tenda da revelação.6 Então esfolará o holocausto, e o partirá nos seus pedaços.7 E os filhos de Arão, o sacerdote, porão fogo sobre o altar, pondo em ordem a lenha sobre o fogo;8 também os filhos de Arão, os sacerdotes, porão em ordem os pedaços, a cabeça e a gordura, sobre a lenha que está no fogo em cima do altar;9 a fressura, porém, e as pernas, ele as lavará com água; e o sacerdote queimará tudo isso sobre o altar como holocausto, oferta queimada, de cheiro suave ao Senhor.10 Se a sua oferta for holocausto de gado miúdo, seja das ovelhas seja das cabras, oferecerá ele um macho sem defeito,11 e o imolará ao lado do altar que dá para o norte, perante o Senhor; e os filhos de Arão, os sacerdotes, espargirão o sangue em redor sobre o altar.12 Então o partirá nos seus pedaços, juntamente com a cabeça e a gordura; e o sacerdote os porá em ordem sobre a lenha que está no fogo sobre o altar;13 a fressura, porém, e as pernas, ele as lavará com água; e o sacerdote oferecerá tudo isso, e o queimará sobre o altar; holocausto é, oferta queimada, de cheiro suave ao Senhor.14 Se a sua oferta ao Senhor for holocausto tirado de aves, então de rolas ou de pombinhos oferecerá a sua oferta.15 E o sacerdote a trará ao altar, tirar-lhe-á a cabeça e a queimará sobre o altar; e o seu sangue será espremido na parede do altar;16 e o seu papo com as suas penas tirará e o lançará junto ao altar, para o lado do oriente, no lugar da cinza;17 e fendê-la-á junto às suas asas, mas não a partirá; e o sacerdote a queimará em cima do altar sobre a lenha que está no fogo; holocausto é, oferta queimada, de cheiro suave ao Senhor.
