1 Da Tenda do Encontro o Senhor chamou Moisés e lhe ordenou:2 "Diga o seguinte aos israelitas: Quando alguém trouxer um animal como oferta ao Senhor, que seja do gado ou do rebanho de ovelhas.3 "Se o holocausto for de gado, oferecerá um macho sem defeito. Ele o apresentará à entrada da Tenda do Encontro para que seja aceito pelo Senhor,4 e porá a mão sobre a cabeça do animal do holocausto para que seja aceito como propiciação em seu lugar.5 Então o novilho será morto perante o Senhor, e os sacerdotes, descendentes de Arão, trarão o sangue e o derramarão nos lados do altar, que está na entrada da Tenda do Encontro.6 Depois se tirará a pele do animal, que será cortado em pedaços.7 Então os descendentes do sacerdote Arão acenderão o fogo do altar e arrumarão a lenha sobre o fogo.8 Em seguida arrumarão os pedaços, inclusive a cabeça e a gordura, sobre a lenha que está no fogo do altar.9 As vísceras e as pernas serão lavadas com água. E o sacerdote queimará tudo isso no altar. É um holocausto, oferta preparada no fogo, de aroma agradável ao Senhor.10 "Se a oferta for um holocausto do rebanho, quer de cordeiros quer de cabritos, oferecerá um macho sem defeito.11 O animal será morto no lado norte do altar, perante o Senhor; os sacerdotes, descendentes de Arão, derramarão o sangue nos lados do altar.12 Então o animal será cortado em pedaços. O sacerdote arrumará os pedaços, inclusive a cabeça e a gordura, sobre a lenha que está no fogo do altar.13 As vísceras e as pernas serão lavadas com água. O sacerdote trará tudo isso como oferta e o queimará no altar. É um holocausto, oferta preparada no fogo, de aroma agradável ao Senhor.14 "Se a sua oferta ao Senhor for um holocausto de aves, traga uma rolinha ou um pombinho.15 O sacerdote trará a ave ao altar, destroncará o pescoço dela e a queimará, e deixará escorrer o sangue da ave na parede do altar.16 Ele retirará o papo com o seu conteúdo e o jogará ao lado leste do altar, onde ficam as cinzas.17 Rasgará a ave pelas asas, sem dividi-la totalmente, e então o sacerdote a queimará sobre a lenha acesa no altar. É um holocausto, oferta preparada no fogo, de aroma agradável ao Senhor".

1 And Yahweh called to Moses, and spoke to him out of the tent of meeting, saying,2 Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them, If man among you{+} offers an oblation to Yahweh, you{+} will offer your{+} oblation of the cattle, [even] of the herd and of the flock.3 If his oblation is a burnt-offering of the herd, he will offer it a male without blemish: he will offer it at the door of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before Yahweh.4 And he will lay his hand on the head of the burnt-offering; and it will be accepted for him to make atonement for him.5 And he will kill the bull before Yahweh: and Aaron's sons, the priests, will present the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about on the altar that is at the door of the tent of meeting.6 And he will flay the burnt-offering, and cut it into its pieces.7 And the sons of Aaron the priest will put fire on the altar, and lay wood in order on the fire;8 and Aaron's sons, the priests, will lay the pieces, the head, and the fat, in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar:9 but its insides and its legs he will wash with water: and the priest will burn the whole on the altar, for a burnt-offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to Yahweh.10 And if his oblation is of the flock, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt-offering; he will offer it a male without blemish.11 And he will kill it on the side of the altar northward before Yahweh: and Aaron's sons, the priests, will sprinkle its blood on the altar round about.12 And he will cut it into its pieces, with its head and its fat; and the priest will lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar:13 but the insides and the legs he will wash with water; and the priest will offer the whole, and burn it on the altar: it is a burnt-offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to Yahweh.14 And if his oblation to Yahweh is a burnt-offering of birds, then he will offer his oblation of turtledoves, or of young pigeons.15 And the priest will bring it to the altar, and wring off its head, and burn it on the altar; and its blood will be drained out on the side of the altar;16 and he will take away its crop with its filth, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, in the place of the ashes:17 and he will rend it by its wings, [but] will not divide it apart; and the priest will burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire: it is a burnt-offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savor to Yahweh.
