1 Então o Senhor disse a Moisés: 2 "Quando alguém pecar, enganando seu próximo, também estará cometendo um delito contra o Senhor. Se esse alguém for desonesto num negócio que envolve depósito como garantia, ou roubar, ou praticar extorsão, 3 ou encontrar um objeto e negar que o encontrou, ou mentir depois de jurar dizer a verdade a respeito desse pecado, ou alguma prática semelhante, 4 será culpado pelo pecado que cometeu. Devolverá o que roubou, ou o valor que extorquiu, ou o depósito feito como garantia, ou o objeto perdido que encontrou, 5 ou qualquer coisa que tenha obtido com juramento falso. Fará restituição pagando à pessoa prejudicada o total, com um acréscimo de um quinto do valor. No mesmo dia, apresentará uma oferta pela culpa. 6 Como oferta pela culpa para o Senhor, trará ao sacerdote um carneiro sem defeito do próprio rebanho, devidamente avaliado. 7 Desse modo, o sacerdote fará expiação pela pessoa diante do Senhor, e ela será perdoada de qualquer desses pecados que tenha cometido".

Instruções adicionais para os holocaustos

8 Então o Senhor disse a Moisés: 9 "Dê a Arão e a seus filhos as seguintes instruções para os holocaustos. Os holocaustos serão deixados sobre o altar até a manhã seguinte, e o fogo sobre o altar será mantido aceso a noite toda. 10 Pela manhã, depois que o sacerdote de serviço tiver vestido suas roupas oficiais de linho e as roupas de baixo, também de linho, limpará as cinzas do holocausto e as colocará ao lado do altar. 11 Em seguida, removerá as roupas de linho, vestirá suas roupas habituais e levará as cinzas para fora do acampamento, até um lugar cerimonialmente puro. 12 Enquanto isso, o fogo do altar será mantido aceso; nunca deverá se apagar. A cada manhã, o sacerdote acrescentará mais lenha ao fogo, arrumará sobre ele o holocausto e queimará nele a gordura das ofertas de paz. 13 Lembrem-se de que o fogo deverá ser mantido aceso no altar o tempo todo; nunca deverá se apagar."

Instruções adicionais para as ofertas de cereal

14 "Estas são as instruções para as ofertas de cereal. Os filhos de Arão apresentarão esta oferta ao Senhor diante do altar. 15 O sacerdote de serviço pegará da oferta de cereal um punhado de farinha da melhor qualidade, umedecida com azeite, junto com todo o incenso, e queimará essa porção memorial no altar como aroma agradável ao Senhor. 16 Arão e seus filhos poderão comer o restante da farinha, mas deverão assá-la sem fermento e comê-la num lugar sagrado dentro do pátio da tenda do encontro. 17 Lembrem-se de que essa oferta nunca deverá ser preparada com fermento. Eu a dei aos sacerdotes como porção das ofertas especiais apresentadas a mim. É santíssima, como a oferta pelo pecado e a oferta pela culpa. 18 Todos os homens descendentes de Arão poderão comer das ofertas especiais apresentadas ao Senhor. É seu direito permanente, de geração em geração. Qualquer pessoa ou objeto que tocar nessas ofertas se tornará santo".

Procedimentos para a oferta de consagração

19 Então o Senhor disse a Moisés: 20 "No dia em que Arão e seus filhos forem ungidos, apresentarão ao Senhor a oferta padrão de cereal de dois litros de farinha da melhor qualidade; metade pela manhã e metade à tarde. 21 Misture-a cuidadosamente com azeite e cozinhe-a numa assadeira. Corte em fatias a oferta de cereal e apresente-a como aroma agradável ao Senhor. 22 A cada geração, o sacerdote ungido que suceder a Arão preparará essa mesma oferta. Ela pertence ao Senhor e será totalmente queimada. Essa é uma lei permanente. 23 Todas as ofertas de cereal do sacerdote serão totalmente queimadas. Nenhuma parte poderá ser consumida como alimento".

Instruções adicionais para a oferta pelo pecado

24 O Senhor também disse a Moisés: 25 "Dê a Arão e a seus filhos as seguintes instruções para a oferta pelo pecado. O animal apresentado como oferta pelo pecado é oferta santíssima e será morto diante do Senhor, onde são mortos os animais para os holocaustos. 26 O sacerdote que apresentar o sacrifício como oferta pelo pecado comerá sua porção num lugar sagrado dentro do pátio da tenda do encontro. 27 Qualquer pessoa ou objeto que tocar a carne do sacrifício se tornará santo. Se o sangue do sacrifício respingar na roupa de alguém, a peça manchada será lavada num lugar sagrado. 28 Se for usada uma panela de barro para cozinhar a carne do sacrifício, terá de ser quebrada em seguida. Se for usada uma panela de bronze, terá de ser esfregada e bem enxaguada com água. 29 Qualquer homem da família dos sacerdotes poderá comer dessa oferta. É oferta santíssima. 30 Mas a oferta pelo pecado não poderá ser comida se o sangue for levado à tenda do encontro como oferta para fazer expiação no lugar santo. Nesse caso, será totalmente queimada no fogo."

1 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 2 "If anyone sins, and commits a trespass against Yahweh, and deals falsely with his neighbor in a matter of deposit, or of bargain, or of robbery, or has oppressed his neighbor, 3 or has found that which was lost, and lied about it, and swearing to a lie—in any of these things that a man sins in his actions— 4 then it shall be, if he has sinned, and is guilty, he shall restore that which he took by robbery, or the thing which he has gotten by oppression, or the deposit which was committed to him, or the lost thing which he found, 5 or any thing about which he has sworn falsely: he shall restore it in full, and shall add a fifth part more to it. He shall return it to him to whom it belongs in the day of his being found guilty. 6 He shall bring his trespass offering to Yahweh: a ram without defect from the flock, according to your estimation, for a trespass offering, to the priest. 7 The priest shall make atonement for him before Yahweh, and he will be forgiven concerning whatever he does to become guilty."

8 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 9 "Command Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the burnt offering: the burnt offering shall be on the hearth on the altar all night until the morning; and the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on it. 10 The priest shall put on his linen garment, and he shall put on his linen trousers upon his body; and he shall remove the ashes from where the fire has consumed the burnt offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar. 11 He shall take off his garments, and put on other garments, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a clean place. 12 The fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it, it shall not go out; and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning. He shall lay the burnt offering in order upon it, and shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings. 13 Fire shall be kept burning on the altar continually; it shall not go out.

14 "‘This is the law of the meal offering: the sons of Aaron shall offer it before Yahweh, before the altar. 15 He shall take from there his handful of the fine flour of the meal offering, and of its oil, and all the frankincense which is on the meal offering, and shall burn it on the altar for a pleasant aroma, as its memorial portion, to Yahweh. 16 That which is left of it Aaron and his sons shall eat. It shall be eaten without yeast in a holy place. They shall eat it in the court of the Tent of Meeting. 17 It shall not be baked with yeast. I have given it as their portion of my offerings made by fire. It is most holy, as are the sin offering and the trespass offering. 18 Every male among the children of Aaron shall eat of it, as their portion forever throughout your generations, from the offerings of Yahweh made by fire. Whoever touches them shall be holy.’"

19 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 20 "This is the offering of Aaron and of his sons, which they shall offer to Yahweh in the day when he is anointed: one tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering perpetually, half of it in the morning, and half of it in the evening. 21 It shall be made with oil in a griddle. When it is soaked, you shall bring it in. You shall offer the meal offering in baked pieces for a pleasant aroma to Yahweh. 22 The anointed priest that will be in his place from among his sons shall offer it. By a statute forever, it shall be wholly burned to Yahweh. 23 Every meal offering of a priest shall be wholly burned. It shall not be eaten."

24 Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying, 25 "Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the sin offering: in the place where the burnt offering is killed, the sin offering shall be killed before Yahweh. It is most holy. 26 The priest who offers it for sin shall eat it. It shall be eaten in a holy place, in the court of the Tent of Meeting. 27 Whatever shall touch its flesh shall be holy. When there is any of its blood sprinkled on a garment, you shall wash that on which it was sprinkled in a holy place. 28 But the earthen vessel in which it is boiled shall be broken; and if it is boiled in a bronze vessel, it shall be scoured, and rinsed in water. 29 Every male among the priests shall eat of it. It is most holy. 30 No sin offering, of which any of the blood is brought into the Tent of Meeting to make atonement in the Holy Place, shall be eaten. It shall be burned with fire.
