1 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, "Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God."2 So the first angel went and poured his bowl on the earth, and foul and evil sores came upon the men who bore the mark of the beast and worshiped its image.3 The second angel poured his bowl into the sea, and it became like the blood of a dead man, and every living thing died that was in the sea.4 The third angel poured his bowl into the rivers and the fountains of water, and they became blood.5 And I heard the angel of water say, "Just art thou in these thy judgments, thou who art and wast, O Holy One.6 For men have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink. It is their due!"7 And I heard the altar cry, "Yea, Lord God the Almighty, true and just are thy judgments!"8 The fourth angel poured his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch men with fire;9 men were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues, and they did not repent and give him glory.10 The fifth angel poured his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was in darkness; men gnawed their tongues in anguish11 and cursed the God of heaven for their pain and sores, and did not repent of their deeds.12 The sixth angel poured his bowl on the great river Euphra'tes, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east.13 And I saw, issuing from the mouth of the dragon and from the mouth of the beast and from the mouth of the false prophet, three foul spirits like frogs;14 for they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.15 ("Lo, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is he who is awake, keeping his garments that he may not go naked and be seen exposed!")16 And they assembled them at the place which is called in Hebrew Armaged'don.17 The seventh angel poured his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, "It is done!"18 And there were flashes of lightning, voices, peals of thunder, and a great earthquake such as had never been since men were on the earth, so great was that earthquake.19 The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God remembered great Babylon, to make her drain the cup of the fury of his wrath.20 And every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found;21 and great hailstones, heavy as a hundred-weight, dropped on men from heaven, till men cursed God for the plague of the hail, so fearful was that plague.

1 Depois ouvi uma voz forte falando de dentro do templo, dizendo aos sete anjos:

— Vão e derramem sobre a terra as sete taças da ira de Deus!

2 O primeiro anjo foi e derramou a sua taça sobre a terra. Feridas abertas, terríveis e dolorosas, apareceram naqueles que tinham o sinal do monstro e que haviam adorado a sua imagem.

3 Aí o segundo anjo derramou a sua taça sobre o mar. A água ficou como o sangue de uma pessoa morta, e morreram todos os seres vivos do mar.

4 Então o terceiro anjo derramou a sua taça sobre os rios e nas fontes de água, e eles viraram sangue. 5 Eu ouvi o anjo que tinha autoridade sobre as águas dizer:

— Tu és justo nos teus julgamentos, ó Deus santo, que és e que eras! 6 Os maus derramaram o sangue do povo de Deus e dos profetas, e por isso tu lhes deste sangue para beber. Eles estão recebendo o que merecem.

7 Aí ouvi uma voz que vinha do altar. A voz dizia:

— Ó Senhor Deus, Todo-Poderoso! Os teus julgamentos são, de fato, verdadeiros e justos!

8 Depois o quarto anjo derramou a sua taça sobre o sol, e ele recebeu licença para queimar as pessoas com fogo. 9 Elas sofreram queimaduras dolorosas causadas por esse fogo e amaldiçoaram o nome de Deus, que tem autoridade sobre essas pragas. Mas não se arrependeram dos seus pecados, nem louvaram a glória de Deus.

10 Então o quinto anjo derramou a sua taça sobre o trono do monstro, cujo reino ficou na escuridão, e as pessoas mordiam a língua de dor 11 e, por causa das suas dores e feridas, amaldiçoavam o Deus do céu. Porém não abandonaram as coisas más que faziam.

12 Em seguida o sexto anjo derramou a sua taça no grande rio Eufrates . O rio secou a fim de se abrir um caminho para os reis que vêm do Oriente. 13 Então vi três espíritos imundos que pareciam rãs, que saíam da boca do dragão, da boca do monstro e da boca do falso profeta . 14 Eles são os espíritos maus que fazem milagres. Esses três espíritos vão aos reis do mundo inteiro a fim de os ajuntar para a batalha do grande Dia de Deus, o Todo-Poderoso.

15 "Escutem! Eu venho como um ladrão. Feliz aquele que vigia e toma conta da sua roupa, a fim de não andar nu e não ficar envergonhado em público!"

16 Depois os espíritos ajuntaram os reis no lugar que em hebraico é chamado de "Armagedom ".

17 E por último o sétimo anjo derramou a sua taça no ar. Então uma voz forte veio do trono, no templo, dizendo:

— Está feito!

18 Houve relâmpagos, estrondos, trovões e um violento terremoto, tão violento como nunca houve igual desde a criação dos seres humanos. Foi o pior de todos! 19 A grande cidade se quebrou em três partes, e as cidades de todos os países foram destruídas. Deus lembrou da grande Babilônia e lhe deu o vinho da sua taça — o vinho do furor da sua ira. 20 Todas as ilhas desapareceram, e todos os montes sumiram. 21 Chuvas de pedra caíram do céu sobre as pessoas. Eram grandes pedras, que pesavam mais de trinta quilos. E as pessoas amaldiçoaram a Deus por causa da praga de chuvas de pedra, pois ela era terrível.
