1 Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain.2 And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,3 and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years were ended. After that he must be loosed for a little while.4 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom judgment was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their testimony to Jesus and for the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life, and reigned with Christ a thousand years.5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.6 Blessed and holy is he who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and they shall reign with him a thousand years.7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be loosed from his prison8 and will come out to deceive the nations which are at the four corners of the earth, that is, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea.9 And they marched up over the broad earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city; but fire came down from heaven and consumed them,10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who sat upon it; from his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, by what they had done.13 And the sea gave up the dead in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead in them, and all were judged by what they had done.14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire;15 and if any one's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

1 Então vi descendo do céu um anjo que tinha nas mãos a chave do abismo e uma corrente pesada. 2 Ele agarrou o dragão, aquela velha cobra que é o Diabo ou Satanás, e o amarrou por mil anos. 3 Então o anjo jogou o Diabo no abismo e trancou e selou a porta para que ele não enganasse mais as nações até terminarem os mil anos. Depois desses mil anos é preciso que ele seja solto por um pouco de tempo.

4 Em seguida vi alguns tronos, e os que estavam sentados neles receberam o poder de julgar. Vi também as almas das pessoas que tinham sido degoladas porque haviam anunciado a mensagem de Deus e a verdade que Jesus revelou. Elas não tinham adorado o monstro nem a sua imagem, nem tinham recebido o seu sinal na testa ou na mão. Essas pessoas tornaram a viver e reinaram com Cristo durante os mil anos. 5 Os outros mortos não tornaram a viver até que os mil anos terminaram. Esta é a primeira ressurreição. 6 Felizes e abençoadas as pessoas que forem incluídas nessa primeira ressurreição, pois a segunda morte não tem poder sobre elas! Serão sacerdotes de Deus e de Cristo e reinarão com ele durante os mil anos.

7 Depois que os mil anos terminarem, Satanás será solto da sua prisão 8 e sairá para enganar os povos de todas as nações do mundo, isto é, Gogue e Magogue . Satanás os juntará para a batalha, e eles serão tantos como os grãos de areia da praia do mar.

9 Eles se espalharam pelo mundo e cercaram o acampamento do povo de Deus e a cidade que ele ama , mas um fogo desceu do céu e os destruiu. 10 Aí o Diabo, que os havia enganado, foi jogado no lago de fogo e enxofre, onde o monstro e o falso profeta já haviam sido lançados. E lá eles serão atormentados para todo o sempre, de dia e de noite.

11 Então vi um grande trono branco e aquele que está sentado nele. A terra e o céu fugiram da sua presença e não foram vistos mais. 12 Vi também os mortos, tanto os importantes como os humildes, que estavam de pé diante do trono. Foram abertos livros, e também foi aberto outro livro, o Livro da Vida . Os mortos foram julgados de acordo com o que cada um havia feito, conforme estava escrito nos livros. 13 Aí o mar entregou os mortos que estavam nele. A morte e o mundo dos mortos também entregaram os que eles tinham em seu poder. E todos foram julgados de acordo com o que cada um tinha feito. 14 Então a morte e o mundo dos mortos foram jogados no lago de fogo. Esse lago de fogo é a segunda morte. 15 Quem não tinha o seu nome escrito no Livro da Vida foi jogado no lago de fogo.
