1 The LORD said to Moses,2 "Say to the people of Israel, The appointed feasts of the LORD which you shall proclaim as holy convocations, my appointed feasts, are these.3 Six days shall work be done; but on the seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation; you shall do no work; it is a sabbath to the LORD in all your dwellings.4 "These are the appointed feasts of the LORD, the holy convocations, which you shall proclaim at the time appointed for them.5 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month in the evening, is the LORD's passover.6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread to the LORD; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread.7 On the first day you shall have a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work.8 But you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD seven days; on the seventh day is a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work."9 And the LORD said to Moses,10 "Say to the people of Israel, When you come into the land which I give you and reap its harvest, you shall bring the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest;11 and he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, that you may find acceptance; on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.12 And on the day when you wave the sheaf, you shall offer a male lamb a year old without blemish as a burnt offering to the LORD.13 And the cereal offering with it shall be two tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, to be offered by fire to the LORD, a pleasing odor; and the drink offering with it shall be of wine, a fourth of a hin.14 And you shall eat neither bread nor grain parched or fresh until this same day, until you have brought the offering of your God: it is a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.15 "And you shall count from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven full weeks shall they be,16 counting fifty days to the morrow after the seventh sabbath; then you shall present a cereal offering of new grain to the LORD.17 You shall bring from your dwellings two loaves of bread to be waved, made of two tenths of an ephah; they shall be of fine flour, they shall be baked with leaven, as first fruits to the LORD.18 And you shall present with the bread seven lambs a year old without blemish, and one young bull, and two rams; they shall be a burnt offering to the LORD, with their cereal offering and their drink offerings, an offering by fire, a pleasing odor to the LORD.19 And you shall offer one male goat for a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old as a sacrifice of peace offerings.20 And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the first fruits as a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs; they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.21 And you shall make proclamation on the same day; you shall hold a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work: it is a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.22 "And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap your field to its very border, nor shall you gather the gleanings after your harvest; you shall leave them for the poor and for the stranger: I am the LORD your God."23 And the LORD said to Moses,24 "Say to the people of Israel, In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe a day of solemn rest, a memorial proclaimed with blast of trumpets, a holy convocation.25 You shall do no laborious work; and you shall present an offering by fire to the LORD."26 And the LORD said to Moses,27 "On the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement; it shall be for you a time of holy convocation, and you shall afflict yourselves and present an offering by fire to the LORD.28 And you shall do no work on this same day; for it is a day of atonement, to make atonement for you before the LORD your God.29 For whoever is not afflicted on this same day shall be cut off from his people.30 And whoever does any work on this same day, that person I will destroy from among his people.31 You shall do no work: it is a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.32 It shall be to you a sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall afflict yourselves; on the ninth day of the month beginning at evening, from evening to evening shall you keep your sabbath."33 And the LORD said to Moses,34 "Say to the people of Israel, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month and for seven days is the feast of booths to the LORD.35 On the first day shall be a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work.36 Seven days you shall present offerings by fire to the LORD; on the eighth day you shall hold a holy convocation and present an offering by fire to the LORD; it is a solemn assembly; you shall do no laborious work.37 "These are the appointed feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim as times of holy convocation, for presenting to the LORD offerings by fire, burnt offerings and cereal offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings, each on its proper day;38 besides the sabbaths of the LORD, and besides your gifts, and besides all your votive offerings, and besides all your freewill offerings, which you give to the LORD.39 "On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you have gathered in the produce of the land, you shall keep the feast of the LORD seven days; on the first day shall be a solemn rest, and on the eighth day shall be a solemn rest.40 And you shall take on the first day the fruit of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days.41 You shall keep it as a feast to the LORD seven days in the year; it is a statute for ever throughout your generations; you shall keep it in the seventh month.42 You shall dwell in booths for seven days; all that are native in Israel shall dwell in booths,43 that your generations may know that I made the people of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God."44 Thus Moses declared to the people of Israel the appointed feasts of the LORD.

1 O Senhor Deus mandou que Moisés 2 desse aos israelitas as seguintes leis a respeito das festas religiosas mais importantes, quando o povo se reúne para adorar o Senhor:

3 Vocês têm seis dias para trabalhar, mas o sétimo dia é o dia sagrado de descanso, quando todos deverão se reunir para adorar a Deus. Não façam nenhum trabalho nesse dia. Em todos os lugares onde os israelitas morarem, o sábado é um dia dedicado a Deus, o Senhor.

4 São estas as festas religiosas, quando o povo deverá se reunir para adorar a Deus, o Senhor. Cada uma destas festas será realizada na data marcada.

5 A Festa da Páscoa, comemorada em honra de Deus, o Senhor, começa ao pôr do sol no dia catorze do primeiro mês.

6 No dia quinze desse mês começa a Festa dos Pães sem Fermento, em honra de Deus, o Senhor. Durante os sete dias dessa festa o pão que vocês comerem deverá ser feito sem fermento. 7 No primeiro dia dessa festa ninguém trabalhará, e todos deverão se reunir para adorar a Deus. 8 Durante esses sete dias apresentem ao Senhor ofertas de alimento e no sétimo dia reúnam-se para adorar a Deus. Nesse dia ninguém deverá trabalhar.

9 O Senhor Deus mandou Moisés 10 dizer ao povo de Israel o seguinte:

— Quando vocês entrarem na terra que eu lhes estou dando e fizerem a primeira colheita de trigo, levem ao sacerdote um feixe do que colherem. 11 No dia que vem depois do sábado, o sacerdote apresentará esse feixe de trigo a Deus, o Senhor, para que ele aceite vocês. 12 Nesse mesmo dia apresentem ao Senhor como uma oferta que vai ser completamente queimada um carneirinho de um ano, sem defeito. 13 E apresentem como oferta de alimento dois quilos de farinha misturada com azeite. O cheiro dessa oferta é agradável ao Senhor. Apresentem também como oferta de bebida um litro de vinho. 14 Não comam espigas de trigo verdes, nem espigas torradas, nem pão, até o dia em que apresentarem a oferta a Deus. Em todos os lugares onde morarem, vocês e os seus descendentes deverão obedecer a essa lei para sempre.

15 — Contem sete semanas a partir do dia em que oferecerem a Deus o primeiro feixe de trigo que foi colhido. 16 No dia seguinte, isto é, cinquenta dias depois que ofereceram esse feixe, apresentem a Deus, o Senhor, outra oferta da colheita de cereais. 17 Cada família deverá apresentar dois pães feitos com a melhor farinha e com fermento. Cada pão deverá pesar dois quilos. Esses pães são uma oferta a Deus, o Senhor, tirada da melhor parte da colheita de trigo. 18 Junto com os pães ofereçam sete carneirinhos de um ano, sem defeito, um touro novo e dois carneiros. Esses animais deverão ser apresentados ao Senhor como uma oferta que vai ser completamente queimada, junto com as ofertas de trigo e de vinho. O cheiro dessa oferta de alimento é agradável ao Senhor. 19 Ofereçam também um bode para tirar pecados e dois carneirinhos de um ano como oferta de paz. 20 O sacerdote oferecerá ao Senhor os dois carneirinhos, junto com os pães, como uma oferta especial. Essa é uma oferta sagrada que pertence aos sacerdotes. 21 Nesse dia ninguém deverá trabalhar, e todos se reunirão para adorar a Deus. Em todos os lugares onde morarem, vocês e os seus descendentes deverão obedecer a essa lei para sempre.

22 — Quando fizerem a colheita do trigo, não colham as espigas dos pés que ficam na beira do campo, nem voltem atrás para pegar as espigas que não tiverem sido colhidas. Deixem essas espigas para os pobres e para os estrangeiros. Eu sou o Senhor, o Deus de vocês.

23 O Senhor Deus mandou Moisés 24 dizer ao povo de Israel o seguinte:

— O dia primeiro do sétimo mês é um dia sagrado de descanso, festejado com toques de trombetas; e todos deverão se reunir para adorar a Deus. 25 Não trabalhem nesse dia e apresentem a Deus, o Senhor, ofertas de alimento.

26 O Senhor Deus disse a Moisés:

27 — O dia dez do sétimo mês é o dia em que os pecados do povo são perdoados. Nesse dia ninguém deverá comer nada, e todos deverão apresentar a Deus, o Senhor, ofertas de alimento. 28 Ninguém trabalhará nesse dia, pois é o dia em que é apresentado ao Senhor, o Deus de vocês, o sacrifício para conseguir o perdão dos pecados do povo. 29 Qualquer pessoa que comer alguma coisa no Dia do Perdão será expulsa do meio do povo. 30 E, se alguém trabalhar nesse dia, eu mesmo destruirei essa pessoa. 31 Não façam nenhum trabalho nesse dia; em todos os lugares onde morarem, vocês e os seus descendentes deverão obedecer a essa lei para sempre. 32 Desde o pôr do sol do dia nove até o pôr do sol do dia dez, esse será considerado um dia sagrado de descanso, e nele ninguém deverá comer nada.

33 O Senhor Deus deu a Moisés 34 as seguintes leis para o povo de Israel:

O dia quinze do sétimo mês é o dia em que começa a Festa das Barracas. Essa festa em honra de Deus, o Senhor, durará sete dias. 35 No primeiro dia haverá uma reunião sagrada, e ninguém deverá trabalhar. 36 Em cada um dos sete dias da festa apresentem a Deus, o Senhor, ofertas de alimento. No oitavo dia todos se reunirão para adorar a Deus e para lhe apresentarem ofertas de alimento. É dia de uma reunião sagrada, e nele ninguém trabalhará.

37 (São essas as festas religiosas em que o povo se reunirá para adorar a Deus, o Senhor. Nessas festas serão apresentadas ao Senhor ofertas de alimento, ofertas que são completamente queimadas, ofertas de cereais, sacrifícios e ofertas de vinho. Cada festa será realizada na data marcada. 38 Além dos sábados, que serão guardados em honra de Deus, o Senhor, façam também essas festas e apresentem essas ofertas além das ofertas de costume, das ofertas para pagar promessas e das ofertas que são apresentadas por vontade própria ao Senhor.)

39 Depois de terminadas as colheitas, haverá uma festa em honra de Deus, o Senhor. Essa festa começará no dia quinze do sétimo mês e irá até o dia vinte e dois. No primeiro dia e no oitavo ninguém deverá trabalhar. 40 No primeiro dia o povo colherá frutas das melhores árvores, cortará folhas de palmeiras e galhos de vários tipos de árvores cheias de folhas, e durante sete dias todos farão uma festa em honra do Senhor, o Deus de vocês. 41 E para sempre, no sétimo mês de cada ano, o povo fará essa festa de sete dias. 42 Durante os sete dias todos os israelitas morarão em cabanas feitas de galhos de árvores 43 a fim de que eles e os seus descendentes lembrem sempre que Deus fez com que o povo morasse em barracas, quando os tirou do Egito. Ele é o Senhor, o Deus de vocês.

44 Foi assim que Moisés deu ao povo de Israel as leis a respeito das festas que eles deviam fazer em honra de Deus, o Senhor.
