1 "If a man's offering is a sacrifice of peace offering, if he offers an animal from the herd, male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before the LORD.2 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering and kill it at the door of the tent of meeting; and Aaron's sons the priests shall throw the blood against the altar round about.3 And from the sacrifice of the peace offering, as an offering by fire to the LORD, he shall offer the fat covering the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails,4 and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins, and the appendage of the liver which he shall take away with the kidneys.5 Then Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar upon the burnt offering, which is upon the wood on the fire; it is an offering by fire, a pleasing odor to the LORD.6 "If his offering for a sacrifice of peace offering to the LORD is an animal from the flock, male or female, he shall offer it without blemish.7 If he offers a lamb for his offering, then he shall offer it before the LORD,8 laying his hand upon the head of his offering and killing it before the tent of meeting; and Aaron's sons shall throw its blood against the altar round about.9 Then from the sacrifice of the peace offering as an offering by fire to the LORD he shall offer its fat, the fat tail entire, taking it away close by the backbone, and the fat that covers the entrails, and all the fat that is on the entrails,10 and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins, and the appendage of the liver which he shall take away with the kidneys.11 And the priest shall burn it on the altar as food offered by fire to the LORD.12 "If his offering is a goat, then he shall offer it before the LORD,13 and lay his hand upon its head, and kill it before the tent of meeting; and the sons of Aaron shall throw its blood against the altar round about.14 Then he shall offer from it, as his offering for an offering by fire to the LORD, the fat covering the entrails, and all the fat that is on the entrails,15 and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins, and the appendage of the liver which he shall take away with the kidneys.16 And the priest shall burn them on the altar as food offered by fire for a pleasing odor. All fat is the LORD's.17 It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations, in all your dwelling places, that you eat neither fat nor blood."

1 Quando um homem apresentar a Deus, o Senhor, uma oferta de paz, se o animal for tirado do gado, poderá ser um touro ou uma vaca, mas precisará ser sem defeito. 2 Em frente da Tenda Sagrada o homem porá a mão na cabeça do animal e o matará. Os sacerdotes, que são descendentes de Arão, borrifarão os quatro lados do altar com o sangue. 3 E um dos sacerdotes apresentará ao Senhor como uma oferta de alimento toda a gordura que cobre os miúdos, 4 os dois rins com a gordura que os cobre e também a melhor parte do fígado, que ele tirará junto com os rins. 5 Os sacerdotes queimarão tudo isso no altar, junto com a oferta queimada que foi posta em cima da lenha que está no altar. É uma oferta de alimento que tem um cheiro agradável a Deus, o Senhor.

6 Se o homem oferecer a Deus, o Senhor, um animal do seu rebanho como oferta de paz, o animal poderá ser macho ou fêmea, mas precisará ser sem defeito. 7 Se a oferta ao Senhor for um carneirinho, 8 o homem porá a mão na cabeça do animal e o matará em frente da Tenda Sagrada. Os sacerdotes, que são descendentes de Arão, borrifarão os quatro lados do altar com o sangue. 9 Um dos sacerdotes apresentará ao Senhor como uma oferta de alimento a gordura do animal, o rabo inteiro, que será cortado bem perto da espinha, a gordura que cobre os miúdos, 10 os dois rins e a gordura que os cobre e também a melhor parte do fígado, que ele tirará junto com os rins. 11 E o sacerdote queimará tudo isso no altar como uma oferta de alimento a Deus, o Senhor.

12 Se a oferta ao Senhor for um cabrito, 13 o homem porá a mão na cabeça do animal e o matará em frente da Tenda Sagrada. Os sacerdotes, que são descendentes de Arão, borrifarão os quatro lados do altar com o sangue. 14 Um dos sacerdotes apresentará ao Senhor como uma oferta de alimento a gordura que cobre os miúdos do animal, 15 e os dois rins, e a gordura que os cobre, e também a melhor parte do fígado, que ele tirará junto com os rins. 16 E o sacerdote queimará tudo isso no altar como uma oferta de alimento que tem um cheiro agradável. Toda a gordura pertence a Deus, o Senhor. 17 Por isso os israelitas, em todos os lugares onde morarem, não comerão nem a gordura nem o sangue. Essa é uma lei que deverá ser obedecida para sempre por vocês e pelos seus descendentes.
