1 *2 Kor 4:5, Kol 1:25. Alltså ska man se oss som Kristi tjänare och förvaltare av Guds hemligheter. 2 *Luk 12:42. Av en förvaltare krävs att han visar sig pålitlig. 3 Men mig gör det inget om ni eller någon mänsklig domstol dömer mig. Nej, jag dömer inte ens mig själv. 4 *Rom 3:20, 2 Kor 1:12. Jag har inget på mitt samvete, men det betyder inte att jag är frikänd. Det är Herren som dömer mig. 5 *Matt 7:1, Rom 2:1. Fäll därför ingen dom i förtid, innan Herren kommer. Han ska kasta ljus över det som är dolt i mörkret och avslöja alla hjärtans avsikter, och då ska var och en få sitt beröm av Gud.

6 Bröder, detta har jag för er skull tillämpat på mig och Apollos, för att ni ska lära er den regeln när det gäller oss att inte gå utöver vad Skriften säger och inte skryta över den ene på den andres bekostnad. 7 *Joh 3:27, Rom 12:6, 1 Petr 4:10. Vem ger dig en särställning? Vad har du som du inte har fått? Och om du har fått det, varför skryter du då som om du inte hade fått det? 8 *Upp 3:17. Ni är redan mätta, ni är redan rika, ni har blivit kungar och det utan oss. Jag skulle önska att ni verkligen hade blivit kungar, så att vi kunde regera tillsammans med er!

9 *Rom 8:36, 2 Kor 4:11. Det verkar som om Gud har ställt oss apostlar sist, som dödsdömda. Vi har blivit ett skådespel för världen, för både änglar och människor. 10 *1 Kor 3:18. Vi är dårar för Kristus, ni är kloka i Kristus. Vi är svaga, ni är starka. Ni är aktade, vi är föraktade. 11 *2 Kor 4:8f. Ännu i denna stund är vi hungriga och törstiga, vi är nakna, misshandlade och hemlösa. 12 *Matt 5:44, Apg 18:3, 20:34. Vi sliter och arbetar med våra händer. När vi blir hånade välsignar vi, när vi blir förföljda härdar vi ut, 13 *Klag 3:45. när folk talar illa om oss talar vi väl om dem. Vi har blivit som världens skräp, som mänsklighetens avskrap, och så är det än i dag.*4:13skräp … avskrapBåda orden kan också översättas med "syndabockar".

14 *1 Tess 2:11. Jag skriver inte det här för att få er att skämmas, utan för att förmana er som mina älskade barn. 15 *Apg 18:11, Gal 4:19. För även om ni skulle ha tiotusentals uppfostrare i Kristus, så har ni ändå inte många fäder. Det var jag som i Kristus Jesus födde er till liv genom evangeliet. 16 *1 Kor 11:1, Fil 3:17, 1 Tess 1:6. Därför ber jag: bli mina efterföljare.

17 *1 Tim 1:2. Just därför har jag sänt er Timoteus*4:17TimoteusPaulus närmaste medarbetare (se t ex Apg 16:1f, Fil 2:19f, 1-2 Tim)., mitt älskade och trofasta barn i Herren. Han ska påminna er om mina vägar i Kristus Jesus, det jag lär ut i alla församlingar överallt. 18 Några har blivit självsäkra, för de tror att jag inte ska komma till er. 19 *Jak 4:15. Men jag kommer snart till er, om Herren vill, och då får jag veta hur det är, inte med orden utan med kraften hos dem som är uppblåsta. 20 *1 Kor 2:4. Guds rike består inte i ord utan i kraft. 21 *2 Kor 10:2, 13:11. Vad vill ni? Ska jag komma till er med riset, eller med kärlek och en mild ande?
