1 Disse mais Jeová a Moisés:2 Eis que chamei por nome Bezalel, filho de Uri, filho de Hur, da tribo de Judá;3 e o enchi do espírito de Deus, no tocante à sabedoria, à inteligência, à ciência e a toda a sorte de obras,4 para fazer invenções, para trabalhar em ouro, em prata e em cobre,5 para gravar pedras de engaste, para entalhar madeiras e para trabalhar em toda a sorte de obras.6 Eis que eu designei juntamente com ele a Aoliabe e filho de Aisamaque, da tribo de Dã; e pus a sabedoria nos corações de todos os homens hábeis, para fazerem tudo o que eu tenho ordenado:7 a tenda da revelação, e a arca do testemunho, e o propiciatório que está por cima dela, e todos os móveis da Tenda,8 e a mesa com os seus utensílios, e o candeeiro puro com todos os seus utensílios, e o altar do incenso,9 e o altar do holocausto com todos os seus utensílios, e a bacia com a sua base,10 e os vestidos finamente tecidos e os vestidos sagrados do sacerdote Arão e os vestidos de seus filhos, para quando se empregarem no ofício sacerdotal,11 e o óleo da unção, e o incenso aromático para o santo lugar: eles farão conforme tudo o que tenho ordenado12 Disse mais Jeová a Moisés:13 Falarás também aos filhos de Israel: Certamente guardareis os meus sábados; pois este é um sinal entre mim e vós pelas vossas gerações; para que saibais que eu sou Jeová que vos santifico.14 Portanto, guardareis o sábado, porque é santo para vós. Aquele que o profanar, certamente será morto; pois todo o homem que trabalhar neste dia será exterminado do meio do seu povo.15 Seis dias se trabalhará; porém no sétimo dia é um sábado de descanso solene, consagrado a Jeová; todo o que trabalhar neste dia, certamente será morto.16 Pelo que os filhos de Israel guardarão o sábado, para o observarem pelas suas gerações, como pacto perpétuo.17 É um sinal perpétuo entre mim e os filhos de Israel; pois em seis dias fez Jeová o céu e a terra, e ao sétimo dia descansou e achou refrigério.18 Deu a Moisés, depois que acabara de falar com ele no monte Sinai, as duas tábuas do testemunho, tábuas de pedra, escritas pelo dedo de Deus.

1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:2 Behold, I have called by name Beseleel the son of Uri the son of Hur of the tribe of Juda,3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, with wisdom and understanding, and knowledge in all manner of work.4 To devise whatsoever may be artificially made of gold, and silver, and brass,5 Of marble, and precious stones, and variety of wood.6 And I have given him for his companion Ooliab the son of Achisamech of the tribe of Dan. And I have put wisdom in the heart of every skilful man, that they may make all things which I have commanded thee,7 The tabernacle of the covenant, and the ark of the testimony, and the propitiatory that is over it, and all the vessels of the tabernacle,8 And the table and the vessels thereof, the most pure candlestick with the vessels thereof, and the altars of incense,9 And of holocaust, and all their vessels, the laver with its foot,10 The holy vestments in the ministry for Aaron the priest, and for his sons, that they may execute their office about the sacred things:11 The oil of unction, and the incense of spices in the sanctuary, all things which I have commanded thee, shall they make.12 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:13 Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: See that thou keep my sabbath: because it is a sign between me and you in your generations: that you may know that I am the Lord, who sanctify you.14 Keep you my sabbath: for it is holy unto you: he that shall profane it, shall be put to death: he that shall do my work in it, his soul shall perish out of the midst of his people.15 Six days shall you do work: in the seventh day is the sabbath, the rest holy to the Lord. Every one that shall do any work on this day, shall die.16 Let the children of Israel keep the sabbath, and celebrate it in their generations. It is an everlasting covenant17 Between me and the children of Israel, and a perpetual sign. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and in the seventh he ceased from work.18 And the Lord, when he had ended these words in mount Sinai, gave to Moses two stone tables of testimony, written with the finger of God.
