1 Estes são os reis da terra, aos quais os filhos de Israel feriram, cujas terras possuíram além do Jordão para o nascente, desde o vale da torrente de Arnom até o monte Hermom, e toda a Arabá ao oriente:2 a Seom, rei dos amorreus, que morava em Hesbom, e dominava desde Aroer, que está à beira do vale da torrente de Arnom, e desde o meio do vale, e a metade de Gileade, até o rio Jaboque, termo dos filhos de Amom;3 desde a Arabá, até o mar de Quinerete para o nascente, e até o mar da Arabá, o mar Salgado, para o nascente pelo caminho de Bete-Jesimote; ao sul, debaixo das faldas de Pisga:4 e o termo de Ogue, rei de Basã, que tinha ficado dos refains, o qual morava em Astarote e em Edrei,5 e dominava no monte Hermom, e em Salcá, e em toda a Basã, até o termo dos gesuritas, e dos maacatitas e da metade de Gileade, termo de Seom, rei de Hesbom.6 Moisés, servo de Jeová, e os filhos de Israel, feriram-nos; e Moisés, servo de Jeová, deu as suas terras em possessão aos rubenitas, aos gaditas e à meia tribo de Manassés.7 Estes são os reis da terra, aos quais Josué e os filhos de Israel feriram além do Jordão para o ocidente, desde Baal-Gade no vale do Líbano até o monte Halaque, que sobe a Seir; a qual terra Josué deu em possessão às tribos de Israel segundo as suas divisões8 (Na região montanhosa, e na Sefelá, e na Arabá, e no Azedote, e no deserto, e no Neguebe habitavam os heteus, os amorreus, os cananeus, os ferezeus, os heveus e os jebuseus):9 um rei de Jericó, um rei de Ai, que é perto de Betel,10 um rei de Jerusalém, um rei de Hebrom,11 um rei de Jarmute, um rei de Laquis,12 um rei de Eglom, um rei de Gezer,13 um rei de Debir, um rei de Geder,14 um rei de Hormá, um rei de Arade,15 um rei de Libna, um rei de Adulão,16 um rei de Maquedá, um rei de Betel,17 um rei de Tapua, um rei de Hefer,18 um rei de Afeque, um rei de Lasarom,19 um rei de Madom, um rei de Hazor,20 um rei de Sinrom-Merom, um rei de Acsafe,21 um rei de Taanaque, um rei de Megido,22 um rei de Quedes, um rei de Jocneão no Carmelo,23 um rei de Dor no outeiro de Dor, um rei de Goim em Gilgal,24 um rei de Tirza: por todos trinta e um rei.
