1 Essa voz disse-me: *Ez 2.3,6,8;Ez 3.1;37.3Filho do homem, *Dn 10.11;At 9.6põe-te sobre os teus pés, e falarei contigo. 2 Falando-me ele, entrou em mim *Ez 3.24;Dn 8.18o Espírito, e pus-me sobre os meus pés; ouvi aquele que me falava. 3 Ele disse-me: Filho do homem, eu te envio aos filhos de Israel, às nações *Ez 2.5;Ez 5.6;20.8,13,21rebeldes que *1Sm 8.7-8;Jr 3.25se rebelaram contra mim. *Ez 20.18,30Eles e seus pais têm transgredido contra mim até o dia de hoje. 4 Os filhos *Ez 3.7;Sl 95.8;Is 48.4;Jr 5.3;6.15são desavergonhados e obstinados de coração. Eu te envio a eles, e tu lhes dirás: Assim diz o Senhor Deus. 5 Eles, *Ez 2.7;Ez 3.11,27;Mt 10.12-15;At 13.46quer queiram ouvir quer não queiram (porque são casa rebelde), *Ez 33.33;Lc 10.10-11;Jo 15.22saberão que tem estado no meio deles um profeta. 6 Tu, filho do homem, *Ez 3.9;Is 51.12;Jr 1.8,17não tenhas medo deles, nem temas as suas palavras, ainda que estejam contigo *Ez 28.24;2Sm 23.6-7;Mq 7.4sarças e espinhos, e habites entre escorpiões; não temas as suas palavras, nem te assustes com os seus semblantes, ainda que são casa rebelde. 7 *Ez 3.10,17;Jr 1.7,17Dir-lhes-ás as minhas palavras, *Ez 2.5quer queiram ouvir quer não queiram, pois são rebeldes.

8 Tu, porém, filho do homem, ouve o que eu te digo; *Nm 20.10-13,24;Is 50.5não sejas rebelde, como aquela casa rebelde. Abre a tua boca *Ez 3.3;Jr 15.16e come o que eu te dou. 9 Quando olhei, eis que *Ez 8.3uma mão se estendia para mim, e nela se achava *Ez 3.1;Jr 36.2;Ap 5.1-5;10.8-11o rolo dum livro; 10 abriu-o diante de mim; o rolo estava escrito por dentro e por fora. Nele, estavam escritas lamentações, e suspiros, e *Ap 8.13ais.

1 And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee. 2 And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me. 3 And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.*2.3 nation: Heb. nations 4 For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.*2.4 impudent: Heb. hard of face 5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

6 And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.*2.6 briers…: or, rebels 7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.*2.7 most…: Heb. rebellion 8 But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

9 And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein; 10 And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.
