Lamentação sobre Faraó, rei do Egito

1 No *Ez 32.17;Ez 30.20;31.1;33.21ano duodécimo, no mês duodécimo, ao primeiro dia do mês, veio a mim a palavra de Jeová, dizendo: 2 Filho do homem, faze *Ez 32.16;Ez 19.1;27.2;28.12uma lamentação sobre Faraó, rei do Egito, e dize-lhe: Foste assemelhado a um *Ez 19.2-6;38.13;Jr 4.7;Na 2.11-13leão novo das nações; contudo, tu és como um *Ez 29.3;Is 27.1dragão nos mares; *Jr 46.7-8pulavas nos teus rios, e *Ez 34.18turbavas com os pés as águas, e sujavas os teus rios. 3 Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Estenderei sobre ti a minha *Ez 12.13;17.20;19.8;Hc 1.14-15rede por meio duma companhia de muitos povos; e eles te tirarão na minha rede. 4 Arrojar-te-ei *Ez 29.5;31.12-13;39.4-5,17-20;Jr 8.2em terra, e te lançarei sobre a face do campo, e farei pousar sobre ti todas as *Is 18.6aves do céu, e fartarei de ti os animais de toda a terra. 5 Porei as tuas carnes sobre *Ez 35.8os montes e encherei os vales da tua altura. 6 *Ez 35.6;Êx 7.17;Is 34.3,7;Ap 14.20Com o teu sangue também regarei a terra *Ez 32.2onde nadas, até os montes; e as correntes se encherão de ti. 7 Quando eu *Jó 18.5-6;Pv 13.9te extinguir, *Ez 30.3,18;34.12;Êx 10.21-23;Is 34.4cobrirei os céus e farei enegrecer as *Is 13.10suas estrelas; encobrirei *Jl 2.2-31;3.15;Am 8.9o sol com uma nuvem, e a lua não dará a sua luz. 8 Farei enegrecer sobre ti todos os brilhantes *Gn 1.14luminares do céu, e trarei trevas sobre a tua terra, diz o Senhor Jeová. 9 Também *Ez 27.29-32;28.19;Ap 18.10-15vexarei o coração de muitos povos, quando eu *Êx 15.14-16levar a efeito a tua destruição entre as nações, nos países que não tens conhecido. 10 Farei que muitos povos fiquem *Ez 27.35pasmados de ti, e os seus *Ez 26.16reis serão sobremaneira amedrontados por causa de ti, quando eu brandir *Dt 32.41;Jr 46.10a minha espada diante deles; *Ez 30.9estremecerão cada momento, cada qual pela sua vida, no dia da tua queda.

11 Pois assim diz o Senhor Jeová: *Ez 30.24-25;Jr 43.10-11;46.13,24-26A espada do rei de Babilônia virá sobre ti. 12 Pelas espadas dos poderosos, farei cair a tua multidão; *Ez 28.7;30.11;31.12terríveis dentre as nações são todos eles; *Ez 30.18despojarão a soberba do Egito, e toda a sua multidão será destruída. 13 Do lado de muitas águas, também destruirei todos os seus *Ez 29.8animais; nem os turbará mais *Ez 32.2;Ez 29.11;34.18o pé de homem, nem os turbarão unhas de animais. 14 Então, tornarei claras as suas águas e farei correr os seus rios como azeite, diz o Senhor Jeová. 15 Quando eu fizer a terra do Egito *Ez 29.12,19-20;Sl 107.34desolada, e deserta, e destituída daquilo de que estava cheia; quando eu ferir a todos os que nela habitarem, *Ez 6.7;30.19,26;Êx 7.5;14.4,18;Sl 9.16;83.17-18saberão que eu sou Jeová. 16 Esta é a *Ez 32.2;Ez 26.17;2Sm 1.17;3.33-34;2Cr 35.25;Jr 9.17lamentação que se fará, que farão as filhas das nações sobre o Egito e sobre toda a sua multidão, diz o Senhor Jeová.

Os egípcios com outras nações no Sheol

17 Também no *Ez 32.1;Ez 31.1;33.21duodécimo ano, aos quinze dias do mês, veio a mim a palavra de Jeová, dizendo: 18 Filho do homem, *Ez 32.2,16;Ez 21.6;Is 16.9;Mq 1.8pranteia sobre a multidão do Egito e *Ez 43.3;Jr 1.10;Os 6.5precipita-o, a ele e as filhas das nações formosas, *Ez 32.24;Ez 31.14,16,18às partes inferiores da terra, juntamente com os que descem à cova. 19 *Ez 31.2,18A quem sobrepujas em formosura? *Is 14.15Desce e deita-te com *Ez 32.21,24,29-30;Ez 31.18;Jr 9.25-26os incircuncisos. 20 No meio dos que são *Ez 32.21, etc.;Ez 31.17mortos à espada, cairão; à espada, está entregue; *Sl 28.3arrastai-o e todas as suas multidões. 21 Do meio do Sheol *Ez 32.27;Is 14.9-12os fortes entre os poderosos falarão dele com os que lhe dão socorro; *Ez 32.31-32já desceram, jazem quietos os incircuncisos, mortos à espada.

22 Ali, está *Ez 27.23;31.3,16Assíria e toda a sua companhia. Os seus sepulcros estão ao redor dela; todos eles foram mortos, caíram à espada. 23 Os seus sepulcros são postos nas extremidades da cova, e a sua companhia está em redor do seu sepulcro. Foram mortos, caíram à espada todos esses que *Ez 32.24-25, etc.causaram terror na terra dos viventes.

24 Ali, está *Gn 10.22;14.1;Is 11.11;Jr 25.25;49.34-39Elão e toda a sua multidão, ao redor do seu sepulcro. Foram mortos, caíram à espada, desceram incircuncisos *Ez 32.18;Ez 26.20;31.14,18às partes inferiores da terra todos esses que *Ez 32.23causaram o seu terror *Jó 28.13;Sl 27.13;52.5;142.5;Is 38.11;Jr 11.19na terra dos viventes *Ez 32.25,30;Ez 16.52,54e levaram a sua vergonha juntamente com os que descem à cova. 25 Puseram-lhe *Sl 139.8a cama no meio dos mortos com toda a sua multidão; os seus sepulcros estão ao redor dele. Todos esses *Ez 32.19incircuncisos foram mortos à espada, porque o seu *Ez 32.23terror se infundiu na terra dos viventes, *Ez 32.24e levaram a sua vergonha com os que descem à cova. Está posto no meio dos que foram mortos.

26 Ali, estão *Ez 27.13;38.2-3;39.1;Gn 10.2Meseque, *Ez 27.13;38.2-3;39.1;Gn 10.2;Is 66.19Tubal e toda a sua multidão. Os seus sepulcros estão ao redor dele; todos esses *Ez 32.19incircuncisos foram mortos à espada, porque *Ez 32.32causaram o seu terror na terra dos viventes. 27 *Is 14.18-19Não estão com os *Ez 32.21;Jó 3.13-15poderosos que dentre os incircuncisos caíram, que com as suas armas de guerra desceram ao Sheol e puseram as suas espadas debaixo das suas cabeças, *Jó 20.11;Sl 109.18tendo as suas iniquidades sobre os seus ossos, porque eram o *Ez 32.23terror dos poderosos na terra dos viventes. 28 Mas tu serás quebrado no meio dos *Ez 32.19incircuncisos e te deitarás com os que foram mortos à espada.

29 Ali, está *Ez 25.13;35.9,15;Is 34.5-15;Jr 49.7-22Edom, os seus reis e todos os seus príncipes, que, com o seu poder, foram postos entre os que foram mortos à espada; deitar-se-ão com os *Ez 32.19incircuncisos e com os que descem à cova. 30 Ali estão os príncipes do *Ez 38.6,15;39.2;Jr 1.15;25.26Norte, todos eles, e todos os *Ez 28.21-23;Jr 25.22sidônios, que desceram com os mortos. Envergonhados estão pelo terror que o seu poder causava; jazem *Ez 32.19incircuncisos com os que foram mortos à espada *Ez 32.24e levam a sua vergonha com os que descem à cova.

31 *Ez 32.18,21Faraó os verá *Ez 14.22;31.16e se consolará sobre toda a sua multidão, sim, Faraó e todo o seu exército, mortos à espada, diz o Senhor Jeová. 32 Pois pus o *Ez 32.23terror dele *Ez 32.24na terra dos viventes; e ele será posto no meio *Ez 32.19dos incircuncisos, com os que *Ez 32.20foram mortos à espada, sim, Faraó e toda a sua multidão, diz o Senhor Jeová.

1 And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say unto him, Thou art like a young lion of the nations, and thou art as a whale in the seas: and thou camest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers.*32.2 whale: or, dragon 3 Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will therefore spread out my net over thee with a company of many people; and they shall bring thee up in my net. 4 Then will I leave thee upon the land, I will cast thee forth upon the open field, and will cause all the fowls of the heaven to remain upon thee, and I will fill the beasts of the whole earth with thee. 5 And I will lay thy flesh upon the mountains, and fill the valleys with thy height. 6 I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the rivers shall be full of thee.*32.6 the land wherein…: or, the land of thy swimming 7 And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heaven, and make the stars thereof dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.*32.7 put…: or, extinguish thee 8 All the bright lights of heaven will I make dark over thee, and set darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord GOD.*32.8 bright…: Heb. lights of the light in heaven*32.8 dark: Heb. them dark 9 I will also vex the hearts of many people, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations, into the countries which thou hast not known.*32.9 vex: Heb. provoke to anger, or, grief 10 Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall.

11 For thus saith the Lord GOD; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon thee. 12 By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and they shall spoil the pomp of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed. 13 I will destroy also all the beasts thereof from beside the great waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of beasts trouble them. 14 Then will I make their waters deep, and cause their rivers to run like oil, saith the Lord GOD. 15 When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate, and the country shall be destitute of that whereof it was full, when I shall smite all them that dwell therein, then shall they know that I am the LORD.*32.15 destitute…: Heb. desolate from the fulness thereof 16 This is the lamentation wherewith they shall lament her: the daughters of the nations shall lament her: they shall lament for her, even for Egypt, and for all her multitude, saith the Lord GOD.

17 It came to pass also in the twelfth year, in the fifteenth day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 18 Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit. 19 Whom dost thou pass in beauty? go down, and be thou laid with the uncircumcised. 20 They shall fall in the midst of them that are slain by the sword: she is delivered to the sword: draw her and all her multitudes.*32.20 she…: or, the sword is laid 21 The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hell with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword. 22 Asshur is there and all her company: his graves are about him: all of them slain, fallen by the sword: 23 Whose graves are set in the sides of the pit, and her company is round about her grave: all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which caused terror in the land of the living.*32.23 terror: or, dismaying 24 There is Elam and all her multitude round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which are gone down uncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth, which caused their terror in the land of the living; yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit. 25 They have set her a bed in the midst of the slain with all her multitude: her graves are round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword: though their terror was caused in the land of the living, yet have they borne their shame with them that go down to the pit: he is put in the midst of them that be slain. 26 There is Meshech, Tubal, and all her multitude: her graves are round about him: all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, though they caused their terror in the land of the living. 27 And they shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, which are gone down to hell with their weapons of war: and they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be upon their bones, though they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.*32.27 with their…: Heb. with weapons of their war 28 Yea, thou shalt be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and shalt lie with them that are slain with the sword. 29 There is Edom, her kings, and all her princes, which with their might are laid by them that were slain by the sword: they shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with them that go down to the pit.*32.29 laid: Heb. given, or, put 30 There be the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Zidonians, which are gone down with the slain; with their terror they are ashamed of their might; and they lie uncircumcised with them that be slain by the sword, and bear their shame with them that go down to the pit. 31 Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army slain by the sword, saith the Lord GOD. 32 For I have caused my terror in the land of the living: and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that are slain with the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD.
