1 Vós, senhores, fazei com os vossos servos o que é de justiça e eqüidade, sabendo que também vós tendes um Senhor no céu.2 Perseverai na oração, velando nela, com ações de graças,3 orando ao mesmo tempo também por nós, para que Deus nos abra uma porta à palavra, para falarmos o mistério de Cristo pelo qual também estou em cadeias,4 a fim de que eu o manifeste como devo falar.5 Andai em sabedoria para com os que estão de fora, remindo o tempo.6 A vossa conversa seja sempre com graça, temperada com sal, para saberdes como deveis responder a cada um.7 Todas as minhas coisas vos dará a conhecer Tíquico, nosso irmão amado e fiel ministro e conservo no Senhor,8 o qual vos envio para este fim, para que conheçais o nosso estado e para que ele conforte os vossos corações,9 juntamente com Onésimo, meu fiel e amado irmão, que é um de vós; eles vos farão conhecer tudo o que se passa aqui.10 Saúda-vos Aristarco, meu companheiro de prisão, e Marcos, primo de Barnabé (a respeito do qual recebestes instruções; se for ter convosco, recebei-o),11 e Jesus, que se chama Justo, os quais são da circuncisão. Estes unicamente são os meus cooperadores para o reino de Deus, os quais se têm tornado a minha consolação.12 Saúda-vos Epafras que é de vós, servo de Jesus Cristo, sempre esforçando-se por vós nas suas orações, para que vos conserveis perfeitos e convencidos em toda a vontade de Deus.13 Pois dou-lhe testemunho de que muito trabalha por vós e pelos que estão em Laodicéia e pelos que se acham em Hierápolis.14 Saúda-vos Lucas, o médico amado, e Demas.15 Saudai aos irmãos que estão em Laodicéia e a Ninfa e à igreja que está em sua casa.16 Lida que for esta carta entre vós, fazei-a ler também na igreja dos laodicenses, e a dos de Laodicéia, lede-a vós também.17 Dizei também a Arquipo: Cuida do ministério que recebeste no Senhor, para o cumprires.18 A saudação, escrevo-a eu, Paulo, por minha própria mão. 1 Masters, give your servants that which is just and equal. You know that you also have a Master in heaven.2 Continue steadfastly in prayer, being vigilant with thanksgiving.3 Pray also for us that God may open to us a door for the word, to speak the secret of Christ, for which I have also been imprisoned.4 Let me make it known, as I ought to speak.5 Behave with wisdom toward those who are outside, making the most of the time.6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.7 Tychicus will make known all my affairs to you, the beloved brother and faithful minister and fellow servant in the Lord.8 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know our situation, and that he may comfort your hearts.9 He will be with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you.
