Deuteronômio 33

A bênção de Moisés

1 Esta é a bênção que, antes da sua morte, deu Moisés, *Js 14.6homem de Deus, aos filhos de Israel. 2 Ele disse:

*Êx 19.18,20;Sl 68.8,17Jeová veio do Sinai

*Jz 5.4e de Seir lhes raiou;

*Nm 10.12;Hc 3.3resplandeceu desde o monte Parã

e chegou das *Dn 7.10miríades de santos.

*Êx 23.20-22Da sua mão direita saía-lhes fogo ardente.

3 *Dt 4.37Sim, amas os povos;

*Dt 7.6;14.2todos os santos de Israel estão na tua mão.

*Dt 6.1-9Seguiram por onde os teus pés guiaram.

Cada um receberá das tuas palavras.

4 *Dt 4.2Uma lei nos prescreveu Moisés,

*Dt 8.3;Sl 119.111uma possessão para a assembleia de Jacó.

5 *Nm 23.21Tornou-se rei em Jesurum,

quando se reuniram os cabeças do povo

com todas as tribos de Israel.

As bênçãos das tribos

6 *Gn 49.3-4Viva Rúben e não morra;

porém sejam os seus homens poucos em número.

7 *Gn 49.8-12Esta é a bênção de Judá. Ele disse:

Ouve, Jeová, a voz de Judá

e faze-o vir ao seu povo;

com as suas mãos pelejou por ele;

e sê tu auxílio contra os seus adversários.

8 De Levi disse:

Sejam teu *Lv 8.8Tumim e teu Urim para o homem, *Sl 106.16teu piedoso,

*Dt 6.16;Êx 17.7;Nm 20.13,24a quem provaste em Massá,

com o qual contendeste junto às águas de Meribá;

9 *Êx 32.27-29para aquele que diz de seu pai e de sua mãe: Não os tenho visto;

nem reconhece a seus irmãos,

nem conhece a seus filhos,

Pois observam a tua palavra

e guardam a tua aliança.

10 *Dt 31.9-13;Lv 10.11Mostram os teus juízos a Jacó

e a tua lei a Israel;

*Lv 16.12-13põem incenso no teu nariz

e holocausto, sobre o teu altar.

11 Abençoa, Jeová, o seu poder

e aceita a obra das suas mãos.

Fere os lombos dos que se levantam contra ele

e dos que o odeiam, para que nunca mais se levantem.

12 De Benjamim disse:

*Dt 4.37;12.10O amado de Jeová habita seguro junto a ele.

*Dt 32.11Jeová o cerca o dia todo,

*Êx 28.12e ele habita entre os seus ombros.

13 De José disse:

*Gn 27.27-28;49.22-26Bendita de Jeová seja a sua terra,

pelos mais excelentes frutos do céu, pelo orvalho

e pelo abismo que jaz abaixo;

14 pelos mais excelentes frutos das novidades do sol

e pelos mais excelentes frutos dos produtos dos meses;

15 e pelos cumes dos montes antigos,

e pelos mais excelentes frutos dos outeiros eternos;

16 e pelos mais excelentes frutos da terra e da sua plenitude.

A benevolência *Êx 3.2-6daquele que habitava na sarça

venha sobre a cabeça de José

e sobre o alto da cabeça daquele que é príncipe entre seus irmãos.

17 Quanto ao seu novilho primogênito — este tem majestade,

e os seus chifres são chifres de *Nm 23.22um boi selvagem;

com eles *Sl 44.5rechaça a povos;

sim, todas as extremidades da terra.

Esses são as miríades de Efraim,

e estas são os milhares de Manassés.

18 *Gn 49.13-15De Zebulom disse:

Alegra-te, Zebulom, nas tuas saídas,

e, Issacar, nas tuas tendas.

19 *Êx 15.17;Sl 2.6;Is 2.3Eles chamam povos ao monte;

ali, oferecem *Sl 4.5;51.19sacrifícios de justiça,

porque chupam *Is 60.5a abundância dos mares

e os escondidos tesouros da areia,

20 *Gn 49.19De Gade disse:

Bendito seja aquele que dilata a Gade!

Habita *Gn 49.9como leoa

e despedaça o braço, sim o alto da cabeça.

21 *Nm 32.1-6Proveu para si a primeira parte,

*Nm 34.14porque ali foi reservada a porção dum comandante.

*Js 4.12Veio com os cabeças do povo,

*Js 22.1-3executou a justiça de Jeová,

e os seus juízos, para com Israel.

22 *Gn 49.16Disse acerca de Dã:

Dã é *Ez 19.2-3cachorro de leão,

que salta de Basã.

23 De Naftali disse:

*Gn 49.21Ó Naftali, saciado de favores

e farto da bênção de Jeová;

possui o lago e o Sul.

24 *Gn 49.20De Aser disse:

Bendito seja Aser, mais do que filhos o são!

Seja o favorecido de seus irmãos

*Jó 29.6e banhe em azeite o seu pé;

25 *Sl 147.13sejam de ferro e de bronze os teus ferrolhos,

*Dt 4.40;32.47e, como os teus dias, assim seja a tua força.

26 *Dt 4.35Não há quem seja semelhante ao Deus de Jesurum,

*Dt 10.14;Sl 68.33,34que cavalga pelo céu como teu auxílio

e, na sua dignidade, pelas mais altas nuvens.

27 *Sl 90.1-2O Deus da antiguidade é uma morada,

*Gn 49.24e, por baixo, estão os braços eternos.

*Êx 34.11;Js 24.18E ele expulsou os inimigos de diante de ti,

*Dt 7.2e disse: Destrói.

28 *Dt 33.12Assim, Israel habita seguro,

*Dt 32.8;Nm 23.9a fonte de Jeová, a sós,

*Gn 27.28,37na terra de grãos e de mosto!

*Dt 33.13Sim, o seu céu destila o orvalho.

29 *Sl 1.1;32.1-2Feliz és tu, ó Israel; *Dt 4.32quem é semelhante a ti?

Um povo salvo por Jeová,

*Gn 15.1;Sl 33.20;Sl 115.9-11escudo do teu socorro,

*Sl 68.34espada da tua dignidade.

*Sl 66.3Assim, virão os teus inimigos rojando-se aos teus pés,

*Dt 32.13;Nm 33.52e tu pisarás sobre os seus altos.

1 This is the blessing with which Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. 2 He said,

"Yahweh came from Sinai,

and rose from Seir to them.

He shone from Mount Paran.

He came from the ten thousands of holy ones.

At his right hand was a fiery law for them.*33:2 another manuscript reads "He came with myriads of holy ones from the south, from his mountain slopes."

3 Yes, he loves the people.

All his saints are in your hand.

They sat down at your feet.

Each receives your words.

4 Moses commanded us a law,

an inheritance for the assembly of Jacob.

5 He was king in Jeshurun,

when the heads of the people were gathered,

all the tribes of Israel together.

6 "Let Reuben live, and not die;

Nor let his men be few."

7 This is for Judah. He said,

"Hear, Yahweh, the voice of Judah.

Bring him in to his people.

With his hands he contended for himself.

You shall be a help against his adversaries."

8 About Levi he said,

"Your Thummim and your Urim are with your godly one,

whom you proved at Massah,

with whom you contended at the waters of Meribah.

9 He said of his father, and of his mother, ‘I have not seen him.’

He didn’t acknowledge his brothers,

nor did he know his own children;

for they have observed your word,

and keep your covenant.

10 They shall teach Jacob your ordinances,

and Israel your law.

They shall put incense before you,

and whole burnt offering on your altar.

11 Yahweh, bless his skills.

Accept the work of his hands.

Strike through the hips of those who rise up against him,

of those who hate him, that they not rise again."

12 About Benjamin he said,

"The beloved of Yahweh will dwell in safety by him.

He covers him all day long.

He dwells between his shoulders."

13 About Joseph he said,

"His land is blessed by Yahweh,

for the precious things of the heavens, for the dew,

for the deep that couches beneath,

14 for the precious things of the fruits of the sun,

for the precious things that the moon can yield,

15 for the best things of the ancient mountains,

for the precious things of the everlasting hills,

16 for the precious things of the earth and its fullness,

the good will of him who lived in the bush.*33:16 i.e., the burning bush of Exodus 3:3-4.

Let this come on the head of Joseph,

on the crown of the head of him who was separated from his brothers.

17 Majesty belongs to the firstborn of his herd.

His horns are the horns of the wild ox.

With them he will push all the peoples to the ends of the earth.

They are the ten thousands of Ephraim.

They are the thousands of Manasseh."

18 About Zebulun he said,

"Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out;

and Issachar, in your tents.

19 They will call the peoples to the mountain.

There they will offer sacrifices of righteousness,

for they will draw out the abundance of the seas,

the hidden treasures of the sand."

20 About Gad he said,

"He who enlarges Gad is blessed.

He dwells as a lioness,

and tears the arm and the crown of the head.

21 He provided the first part for himself,

for the lawgiver’s portion was reserved for him.

He came with the heads of the people.

He executed the righteousness of Yahweh,

His ordinances with Israel."

22 About Dan he said,

"Dan is a lion’s cub

that leaps out of Bashan."

23 About Naphtali he said,

"Naphtali, satisfied with favor,

full of Yahweh’s blessing,

Possess the west and the south."

24 About Asher he said,

"Asher is blessed with children.

Let him be acceptable to his brothers.

Let him dip his foot in oil.

25 Your bars will be iron and bronze.

As your days, so your strength will be.

26 "There is no one like God, Jeshurun,

who rides on the heavens for your help,

in his excellency on the skies.

27 The eternal God is your dwelling place.

Underneath are the everlasting arms.

He thrust out the enemy from before you,

and said, ‘Destroy!’

28 Israel dwells in safety,

the fountain of Jacob alone,

In a land of grain and new wine.

Yes, his heavens drop down dew.

29 You are happy, Israel!

Who is like you, a people saved by Yahweh,

the shield of your help,

the sword of your excellency?

Your enemies will submit themselves to you.

You will tread on their high places."
