Profecia feita aos montes de Israel

1 Tu, filho do homem, profetiza aos *Ez 6.2;34.14;37.22montes de Israel e dize: Montes de Israel, eis a palavra de Jeová. 2 Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Porquanto o inimigo disse contra vós: *Ez 25.3;26.2Ah! E também: Os antigos *Dt 32.13;Sl 78.69;Is 58.14;Hc 3.19lugares altos são *Ez 36.5;Ez 35.10nossos para os possuirmos, 3 portanto profetiza e dize: Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Porquanto, sim porquanto *Jr 2.15vos assolaram *Sl 35.25;Jr 51.34;Lm 2.2,5,16e vos devoraram de todos os lados, para que servísseis de posse ao resto das nações, e tendes andado em *Ez 35.13;Sl 44.13-14;Jr 18.16lábios de paroleiros e chegado a ser a infâmia do povo, 4 portanto, *Ez 36.1,6,8;Dt 11.11montes de Israel, ouvi a palavra do Senhor Jeová *Ez 36.6;Ez 6.3aos *Ez 34.8,28montes e aos outeiros, às correntes de água e aos vales, aos desertos desolados e às cidades desamparadas, que se tornaram em presa e *Sl 79.4;Jr 48.27em opróbrio ao resto das nações circunvizinhas. 5 Portanto, assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Certamente, no fogo *Ez 36.6;Ez 5.13;38.19;Is 66.15-16do meu zelo, falei contra o *Ez 36.3;Jr 25.9,15-29resto das nações e contra todo *Ez 25.12-14o Edom, que *Ez 36.2;Ez 35.10apropriaram a si da minha terra por posse com o *Ez 35.15;Jr 50.11;Mq 7.8gozo de todo o seu coração, *Ez 25.12,15;Am 1.11com despeito de alma, para a lançarem fora, à rapina. 6 Portanto, profetiza acerca da terra de Israel e dize aos *Ez 36.4montes e aos outeiros, às correntes de água e aos vales: Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Eis que falei no meu *Ez 36.5zelo e no meu furor, porque *Ez 34.29;Sl 74.10;123.3-4levastes sobre vós o opróbrio dos pagãos; 7 por isso assim diz o Senhor Jeová: *Ez 20.6,15,23Eu levantei a minha mão, dizendo: Certamente, os pagãos que estão ao redor de vós *Jr 25.9,15,29levarão sobre si o seu opróbrio.

8 Mas *Ez 36.4vós, ó montes de Israel, *Ez 17.23;34.26-29;Is 4.2;27.6produzireis os vossos ramos e dareis o vosso fruto ao meu povo de Israel, pois já estão para vir. 9 Eis que eu vos sou favorável *Lv 26.9e me voltarei para vós, e sereis *Ez 36.34;Ez 28.26;34.14lavrados e semeados; 10 multiplicarei os homens sobre vós, *Ez 37.21-22;Is 27.6;49.17-23toda a casa de Israel, sim, toda ela.

*Ez 36.33;Jr 31.27-28;33.12As cidades serão habitadas, e as solidões serão edificadas. 11 Sobre vós multiplicarei *Ez 36.37-38homens e animais; eles se aumentarão e frutificarão. Farei que sejais habitadas *Ez 16.55;Jr 30.18;Mq 7.14como dantes *Jó 42.12;Is 51.3e vos tratarei melhor do que nos vossos princípios; e sabereis que eu sou Jeová. 12 Na verdade, sobre vós *Ez 34.13-14farei andar homens, o meu povo de Israel. *Ez 36.24Eles te possuirão, e tu serás a sua *Ez 47.14herança e, daqui em diante *Ez 22.12,27;Jr 15.7não os privarás mais de filhos. 13 Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Porquanto vos dizem: Tu és uma terra *Nm 13.32que devora os homens e tens sido a que privas de filhos a tua nação, 14 por isso não devorarás mais os homens, nem privarás mais de filhos a tua nação, diz o Senhor Jeová. 15 Não te permitirei ouvir mais *Ez 36.7;Ez 34.29;Is 54.4;60.14a afronta dos pagãos nem levarás mais sobre ti o *Ez 22.4;Sl 89.50opróbrio dos povos; nem farás *Is 63.13;Jr 13.16;18.15tropeçar mais a tua nação, diz o Senhor Jeová.

A restauração de Israel

16 Demais, veio a mim a palavra de Jeová, dizendo: 17 Filho do homem, quando a casa de Israel habitava na sua terra, *Ez 20.28;Lv 18.24-28;Sl 106.37-38;Jr 2.7contaminaram-na pelo seu caminho e pelos seus feitos. O seu caminho diante de mim tornou-se como a imundícia duma mulher na sua separação. 18 Pelo que *Ez 22.20;2Cr 34.21,25;Lm 2.4;4.11derramei sobre eles o meu furor, por causa do *Ez 24.6-9sangue que haviam derramado sobre a terra e porque a tinham contaminado com os seus ídolos. 19 Eu *Ez 5.12;22.15;Dt 28.64;Am 9.9os espalhei entre as nações, e foram dispersos pelos países; *Ez 24.14;39.24;Rm 2.6segundo o seu caminho e segundo os seus feitos, os julguei. 20 Quando chegaram às nações para onde foram, *Ez 12.16;14.22;Is 52.5;Rm 2.24profanaram o meu santo nome, porquanto se dizia deles: Estes são o *Jr 33.24povo de Jeová, que saiu da sua terra. 21 Porém tive compaixão do meu *Ez 20.44;Sl 74.18;Is 37.35;48.9santo nome, ao qual a casa de Israel profanara entre as nações para onde foram.

22 Portanto, dize à casa de Israel: Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Não é por amor de vós, casa de Israel, que *Ez 36.32;Dt 7.7-8;9.5-7;Sl 108.6eu faço isso; mas é em atenção ao meu santo nome, *Ez 36.20que tendes profanado entre as nações para onde fostes. 23 *Ez 20.41;38.23;39.7,25;Is 5.10;1Pe 3.15Santificarei o meu grande nome, que tem sido profanado entre *Sl 102.13,15;126.2as nações, o qual tendes profanado no meio delas; as nações saberão que eu sou Jeová, diz o Senhor Jeová, quando eu for *Ez 28.25;39.27santificado em vós diante dos seus olhos. 24 Pois vos *Ez 34.13;37.21;Is 43.5-6tirarei dentre as nações, e vos congregarei de todos os países, e vos trarei para a vossa terra. 25 *Nm 19.17-19;Sl 51.7;Tt 3.5-6;Hb 9.13,19;10.22Aspergirei sobre vós água pura, e ficareis purificados; de toda a vossa *Is 4.4;Zc 13.1imundícia e de todos os vossos *Is 2.18,20;Os 14.3,8ídolos, vos purificarei. 26 Também vos darei *Ez 11.19;18.31;Sl 51.10;Jo 3.3,5;2Co 5.17um coração novo e dentro de vós porei um espírito novo; tirarei da vossa carne *Ez 11.19;Zc 7.12o coração de pedra e dar-vos-ei um coração de carne. 27 Dentro de vós, *Ez 37.14;39.29;Is 44.3;59.21;Jl 2.28-29porei o meu Espírito e farei *Ez 11.20;37.24que andeis nos meus estatutos, e guardareis os meus juízos e os praticareis. 28 Habitareis na terra que dei a vossos pais; vós sereis o *Ez 14.11;37.23,27meu povo, e eu serei o vosso Deus. 29 Livrar-vos-ei de todas as vossas *Ez 36.25;Ez 39.24;Jr 33.8;Jl 3.21;Zc 13.1impurezas; chamarei o trigo, e o multiplicarei, *Ez 34.27,29;Os 2.21-23e não trarei fome sobre vós. 30 *Lv 26.4Multiplicarei o fruto das árvores e a novidade do campo, para que não recebais mais o opróbrio da fome entre as nações. 31 Então, *Ez 16.61-63;20.43vos lembrareis dos vossos maus caminhos e dos vossos feitos que não eram bons; *Ez 6.9;Is 6.5tereis nojo em vós mesmos das vossas iniquidades e das vossas abominações.

32 *Ez 36.22;Ez 20.44Não é por amor de vós que eu faço isso, diz o Senhor Jeová, seja-vos isso bem entendido. Envergonhai-vos e confundi-vos sobre os vossos caminhos, ó casa de Israel. 33 Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: No dia em que vos *Ez 36.25purificar de todas as vossas iniquidades, farei que sejam habitadas *Ez 36.10;Zc 8.7-8as cidades e *Is 58.12edificadas as solidões. 34 A terra que estava desolada será *Ez 36.9lavrada, em lugar de ser uma desolação aos olhos de todos os que por ela passavam. 35 Dir-se-á: Esta terra que estava desolada tem-se tornado como o *Ez 31.9;Is 51.3;Jl 2.3jardim do Éden; e as cidades desertas, e desoladas, e arruinadas estão fortalecidas e habitadas. 36 Então, as nações que tiverem ficado ao redor de vós *Ez 39.27-28saberão que eu, Jeová, reedifiquei os lugares arruinados e plantei o que estava desolado. Eu, Jeová, o disse, e *Os 14.4-9o farei.

37 Assim diz o Senhor Jeová: Ainda por isso serei *Sl 102.17;Is 55.6-7;Jr 29.12-14;Zc 10.6,9;13.9consultado da casa de Israel, para que eu lhes faça isto: *Ez 36.10-11multiplicá-los-ei de homens, como um rebanho. 38 Como o *1Rs 8.63;2Cr 35.7-9;Jo 2.14rebanho para sacrifícios, como o rebanho de Jerusalém nas suas festas fixas, assim *Ez 36.33-35as cidades desertas serão cheias de *Sl 74.1;100.3;Jr 23.1;Zc 11.17;Jo 10.7,9,16rebanhos de homens; e eles saberão que eu sou Jeová.

1 You, son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel, and say, "You mountains of Israel, hear Yahweh’s word. 2 The Lord Yahweh says: ‘Because the enemy has said against you, "Aha!" and, "The ancient high places are ours in possession!"’ 3 therefore prophesy, and say, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: "Because, even because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that you might be a possession to the residue of the nations, and you are taken up in the lips of talkers, and the evil report of the people;" 4 therefore, you mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord Yahweh: The Lord Yahweh says to the mountains and to the hills, to the watercourses and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes and to the cities that are forsaken, which have become a prey and derision to the residue of the nations that are all around; 5 therefore the Lord Yahweh says: "Surely in the fire of my jealousy I have spoken against the residue of the nations, and against all Edom, that have appointed my land to themselves for a possession with the joy of all their heart, with despite of soul, to cast it out for a prey."’ 6 Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel, and tell the mountains, the hills, the watercourses and the valleys, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: "Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my wrath, because you have borne the shame of the nations." 7 Therefore the Lord Yahweh says: "I have sworn, ‘Surely the nations that are around you will bear their shame.’

8 "‘"But you, mountains of Israel, you shall shoot out your branches and yield your fruit to my people Israel; for they are at hand to come. 9 For, behold, I am for you, and I will come to you, and you will be tilled and sown. 10 I will multiply men on you, all the house of Israel, even all of it. The cities will be inhabited and the waste places will be built. 11 I will multiply man and animal on you. They will increase and be fruitful. I will cause you to be inhabited as you were before, and you will do better than at your beginnings. Then you will know that I am Yahweh. 12 Yes, I will cause men to walk on you, even my people Israel. They will possess you, and you will be their inheritance, and you will never again bereave them of their children."

13 "‘The Lord Yahweh says: "Because they say to you, ‘You are a devourer of men, and have been a bereaver of your nation;’ 14 therefore you shall devour men no more, and not bereave your nation any more," says the Lord Yahweh. 15 "I won’t let you hear the shame of the nations any more. You won’t bear the reproach of the peoples any more, and you won’t cause your nation to stumble any more," says the Lord Yahweh.’"

16 Moreover Yahweh’s word came to me, saying, 17 "Son of man, when the house of Israel lived in their own land, they defiled it by their ways and by their deeds. Their way before me was as the uncleanness of a woman in her impurity. 18 Therefore I poured out my wrath on them for the blood which they had poured out on the land, and because they had defiled it with their idols. 19 I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed through the countries. I judged them according to their way and according to their deeds. 20 When they came to the nations where they went, they profaned my holy name, in that men said of them, ‘These are Yahweh’s people, and have left his land.’ 21 But I had respect for my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations where they went.

22 "Therefore tell the house of Israel, ‘The Lord Yahweh says: "I don’t do this for your sake, house of Israel, but for my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you went. 23 I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned among them. Then the nations will know that I am Yahweh," says the Lord Yahweh, "when I am proven holy in you before their eyes.

24 "‘"For I will take you from among the nations and gather you out of all the countries, and will bring you into your own land. 25 I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. 26 I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh. 27 I will put my Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes. You will keep my ordinances and do them. 28 You will dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers. You will be my people, and I will be your God. 29 I will save you from all your uncleanness. I will call for the grain and will multiply it, and lay no famine on you. 30 I will multiply the fruit of the tree and the increase of the field, that you may receive no more the reproach of famine among the nations.

31 "‘"Then you will remember your evil ways, and your deeds that were not good; and you will loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations. 32 I don’t do this for your sake," says the Lord Yahweh. "Let it be known to you. Be ashamed and confounded for your ways, house of Israel."

33 "‘The Lord Yahweh says: "In the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the cities to be inhabited and the waste places will be built. 34 The land that was desolate will be tilled instead of being a desolation in the sight of all who passed by. 35 They will say, ‘This land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden. The waste, desolate, and ruined cities are fortified and inhabited.’ 36 Then the nations that are left around you will know that I, Yahweh, have built the ruined places and planted that which was desolate. I, Yahweh, have spoken it, and I will do it."

37 "‘The Lord Yahweh says: "For this, moreover, I will be inquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them: I will increase them with men like a flock. 38 As the flock for sacrifice, as the flock of Jerusalem in her appointed feasts, so the waste cities will be filled with flocks of men. Then they will know that I am Yahweh.’"
