2 Coríntios 5

1 For we know that if the earthly house of our tent is dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal, in the heavens. 2 For most certainly in this we groan, longing to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven, 3 if indeed being clothed, we will not be found naked. 4 For indeed we who are in this tent do groan, being burdened, not that we desire to be unclothed, but that we desire to be clothed, that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now he who made us for this very thing is God, who also gave to us the down payment of the Spirit.

6 Therefore we are always confident and know that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord; 7 for we walk by faith, not by sight. 8 We are courageous, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body and to be at home with the Lord. 9 Therefore also we make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be well pleasing to him. 10 For we must all be revealed before the judgment seat of Christ that each one may receive the things in the body according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

11 Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade men, but we are revealed to God, and I hope that we are revealed also in your consciences. 12 For we are not commending ourselves to you again, but speak as giving you occasion of boasting on our behalf, that you may have something to answer those who boast in appearance and not in heart. 13 For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God. Or if we are of sober mind, it is for you. 14 For the love of Christ compels us; because we judge thus: that one died for all, therefore all died. 15 He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who for their sakes died and rose again.

16 Therefore we know no one according to the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know him so no more. 17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold,*5:17 "Behold", from "ἰδοὺ", means look at, take notice, observe, see, or gaze at. It is often used as an interjection. all things have become new. 18 But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.

20 We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were entreating by us: we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

Därför suckar vi i vårt tält och längtar att få iklä oss vår himmelska boning, 3 för när vi väl är klädda i den ska vi inte stå där nakna. 4 *1 Kor 15:53f. Ja, vi som bor i detta tält suckar tungt. Vi vill ju inte bli avklädda utan påklädda, så att det som är dödligt uppslukas av livet. 5 *Rom 8:16, 2 Kor 1:22, Ef 1:13f. Och den som berett oss för just detta är Gud, som har gett oss Anden som en garant.

6 *Ps 39:13, 119:19, Hebr 11:13. Därför är vi alltid vid gott mod, även om vi vet att vi är borta från Herren så länge vi är hemma i kroppen. 7 Vi lever här i tro, utan att se. 8 *Fil 1:23. Men vi är ändå vid gott mod och skulle hellre flytta bort från kroppen och vara hemma hos Herren.

9 Därför sätter vi en ära i att vara till behag för honom, vare sig vi är hemma eller borta. 10 *Jer 17:10, Matt 16:27, 25:31f, Joh 5:29, Rom 14:10. Vi måste alla träda fram inför Kristi domstol, för att var och en ska få igen vad han har gjort här i livet, gott eller ont.

Försoningens tjänst

11 *2 Kor 4:2. Vi vet alltså vad det är att frukta Herren, och därför försöker vi vinna människor. För Gud är det uppenbart hurdana vi är, och jag hoppas att det också är uppenbart för era samveten. 12 *2 Kor 1:14, 3:1. Vi vill inte rekommendera oss själva igen inför er, bara ge er tillfälle att vara stolta över oss. Då har ni något att svara dem som skryter med det yttre och inte med det som finns i hjärtat. 13 *Mark 3:21. Har vi varit från våra sinnen, så var det för Gud. Är vi sansade och samlade, så är det för er.

14 Kristi kärlek driver oss*5:14driver ossAnnan översättning: "griper oss", "styr oss", "håller oss samman"., för vi är övertygade om att en har dött för alla, och därför har alla dött. 15 *Rom 14:7f, 1 Tim 2:6, Hebr 2:9. Och han dog för alla, för att de som lever inte längre ska leva för sig själva utan för honom som har dött och uppstått för dem.

16 Därför känner vi inte längre någon på ett ytligt*5:16ytligtOrdagrant: "köttsligt" (efter vår mänskliga värdering). sätt. Även om vi har känt Kristus på ett ytligt sätt, känner vi honom inte så längre.

17 *Jes 43:18f, Gal 6:15, Upp 21:5. Om någon är i Kristus är han alltså en ny skapelse. Det gamla är förbi, något nytt har kommit. 18 *Rom 5:10, Kol 1:20. Och allt kommer från Gud, som har försonat oss med sig själv genom Kristus och gett oss försoningens tjänst. 19 *Rom 3:24f, Kol 1:20. Gud var i Kristus och försonade världen med sig själv. Han tillräknade inte människorna deras överträdelser, och han har anförtrott oss försoningens ord.

20 Vi är alltså sändebud för Kristus, och Gud vädjar genom oss. Vi ber på Kristi uppdrag: låt försona er med Gud! 21 *Jes 53:6, 9, 12, Joh 8:46, Rom 5:19, Gal 3:13. Han som inte visste av synd, honom gjorde Gud till synd i vårt ställe, för att vi i honom skulle bli rättfärdiga inför Gud*5:21rättfärdiga inför GudOrdagrant: "Guds rättfärdighet"..
