1 And the LORD called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tent of meeting, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When any man of you offereth an oblation unto the LORD, ye shall offer your oblation of the cattle, even of the herd and of the flock. 3 If his oblation be a burnt offering of the herd, he shall offer it a male without blemish: he shall offer it at the door of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before the LORD. 4 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him. 5 And he shall kill the bullock before the LORD: and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall present the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is at the door of the tent of meeting. 6 And he shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into its pieces. 7 And the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire upon the altar, and lay wood in order upon the fire: 8 and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall lay the pieces, the head, and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar: 9 but its inwards and its legs shall he wash with water: and the priest shall burn the whole on the altar, for a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD. 10 And if his oblation be of the flock, of the sheep, or of the goats, for a burnt offering; he shall offer it a male without blemish. 11 And he shall kill it on the side of the altar northward before the LORD: and Aaron’s sons, the priests, shall sprinkle its blood upon the altar round about. 12 And he shall cut it into its pieces, with its head and its fat: and the priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is upon the altar: 13 but the inwards and the legs shall he wash with water: and the priest shall offer the whole, and burn it upon the altar: it is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD. 14 And if his oblation to the LORD be a burnt offering of fowls, then he shall offer his oblation of turtledoves, or of young pigeons. 15 And the priest shall bring it unto the altar, and wring off its head, and burn it on the altar; and the blood thereof shall be drained out on the side of the altar: 16 and he shall take away its crop with the filth thereof, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, in the place of the ashes: 17 and he shall rend it by the wings thereof, but shall not divide it asunder: and the priest shall burn it upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire: it is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.

1 O Senhor chamou Moisés e, da tenda do encontro, lhe disse:

2 — Fale aos filhos de Israel e diga-lhes: Quando alguém trouxer oferta ao Senhor, traga um animal do rebanho de gado ou do rebanho de gado miúdo.

3 — Se a oferta for holocausto do rebanho de gado, o homem trará um macho sem defeito. Ele o trará à porta da tenda do encontro, para que o homem seja aceito diante do Senhor. 4 Porá a mão sobre a cabeça do holocausto, para que seja aceito a favor dele, para a sua expiação. 5 Depois, matará o novilho diante do Senhor. Os filhos de Arão, os sacerdotes, apresentarão o sangue e o aspergirão ao redor sobre o altar que está diante da porta da tenda do encontro. 6 Então ele tirará o couro do animal e o cortará em pedaços. 7 E os filhos do sacerdote Arão acenderão fogo sobre o altar e porão em ordem lenha sobre o fogo. 8 Também os filhos de Arão, os sacerdotes, colocarão em ordem os pedaços, a saber, a cabeça e a gordura, sobre a lenha que está no fogo sobre o altar. 9 Porém as entranhas e as pernas, o sacerdote as lavará com água; e queimará tudo isso sobre o altar; é holocausto, oferta queimada, de aroma agradável ao Senhor.

10 — Se a oferta for de gado miúdo, de carneiros ou de cabritos, para holocausto, trará um macho sem defeito. 11 E matará o animal ao lado do altar, para o lado norte, diante do Senhor. Os filhos de Arão, os sacerdotes, aspergirão o seu sangue sobre o altar, ao redor. 12 Depois, ele o cortará em pedaços, junto com a cabeça e a gordura; e o sacerdote os porá em ordem sobre a lenha que está no fogo sobre o altar. 13 Porém as entranhas e as pernas serão lavadas com água; e o sacerdote oferecerá tudo isso e o queimará sobre o altar; é holocausto, oferta queimada, de aroma agradável ao Senhor.

14 — Se a oferta ao Senhor for holocausto de aves, trará a sua oferta de rolinhas ou de pombinhos. 15 O sacerdote a trará ao altar, destroncará a cabeça da ave, sem a separar do pescoço, e a queimará sobre o altar; o sangue da ave, ele o fará correr na parede do altar. 16 Tirará o papo com suas penas e o jogará junto ao altar, para o lado leste, no lugar da cinza. 17 Então abrirá a ave, puxando pelas asas, mas sem separá-la em duas metades; o sacerdote a queimará sobre o altar, em cima da lenha que está no fogo; é holocausto, oferta queimada, de aroma agradável ao Senhor.
