1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, which they hallow unto me, and that they profane not my holy name: I am the LORD. 3 Say unto them, Whosoever he be of all your seed throughout your generations, that approacheth unto the holy things, which the children of Israel hallow unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from before me: I am the LORD. 4 What man soever of the seed of Aaron is a leper, or hath an issue; he shall not eat of the holy things, until he be clean. And whoso toucheth any thing that is unclean by the dead, or a man whose seed goeth from him; 5 or whosoever toucheth any creeping thing, whereby he may be made unclean, or a man of whom he may take uncleanness, whatsoever uncleanness he hath; 6 the soul which toucheth any such shall be unclean until the even, and shall not eat of the holy things, unless he bathe his flesh in water. 7 And when the sun is down, he shall be clean; and afterward he shall eat of the holy things, because it is his bread. 8 That which dieth of itself, or is torn of beasts, he shall not eat to defile himself therewith: I am the LORD. 9 They shall therefore keep my charge, lest they bear sin for it, and die therein, if they profane it: I am the LORD which sanctify them. 10 There shall no stranger eat of the holy thing: a sojourner of the priest’s, or an hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing. 11 But if a priest buy any soul, the purchase of his money, he shall eat of it; and such as are born in his house, they shall eat of his bread. 12 And if a priest’s daughter be married unto a stranger, she shall not eat of the heave offering of the holy things. 13 But if a priest’s daughter be a widow, or divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her father’s house, as in her youth, she shall eat of her father’s bread: but there shall no stranger eat thereof. 14 And if a man eat of the holy thing unwittingly, then he shall put the fifth part thereof unto it, and shall give unto the priest the holy thing. 15 And they shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer unto the LORD; 16 and so cause them to bear the iniquity that bringeth guilt, when they eat their holy things: for I am the LORD which sanctify them. 17 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 18 Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, Whosoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that offereth his oblation, whether it be any of their vows, or any of their freewill offerings, which they offer unto the LORD for a burnt offering; 19 that ye may be accepted, ye shall offer a male without blemish, of the beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats. 20 But whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you. 21 And whosoever offereth a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD to accomplish a vow, or for a freewill offering, of the herd or of the flock, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein. 22 Blind, or broken, or maimed, or having a wen, or scurvy, or scabbed, ye shall not offer these unto the LORD, nor make an offering by fire of them upon the altar unto the LORD. 23 Either a bullock or a lamb that hath any thing superfluous or lacking in his parts, that mayest thou offer for a freewill offering; but for a vow it shall not be accepted. 24 That which hath its stones bruised, or crushed, or broken, or cut, ye shall not offer unto the LORD; neither shall ye do thus in your land. 25 Neither from the hand of a foreigner shall ye offer the bread of your God of any of these; because their corruption is in them, there is a blemish in them: they shall not be accepted for you. 26 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 27 When a bullock, or a sheep, or a goat, is brought forth, then it shall be seven days under the dam; and from the eighth day and thenceforth it shall be accepted for the oblation of an offering made by fire unto the LORD. 28 And whether it be cow or ewe, ye shall not kill it and her young both in one day. 29 And when ye sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the LORD, ye shall sacrifice it that ye may be accepted. 30 On the same day it shall be eaten; ye shall leave none of it until the morning: I am the LORD. 31 Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the LORD. 32 And ye shall not profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you, 33 that brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD.

1 O Senhor disse a Moisés:

2 — Diga a Arão e aos seus filhos que se abstenham das ofertas sagradas, dedicadas a mim pelos filhos de Israel, para que não profanem o meu santo nome. Eu sou o Senhor. 3 Diga-lhes: Ao longo de suas gerações, qualquer descendente de vocês que se aproximar das ofertas sagradas que os filhos de Israel dedicam ao Senhor, tendo sobre si a sua impureza, será eliminado da minha presença. Eu sou o Senhor.

4 — Ninguém da descendência de Arão que for leproso ou tiver fluxo comerá das ofertas sagradas, até que esteja puro. Também não poderá comer das ofertas sagradas o que tocar alguma coisa impura por causa de um morto ou aquele que tiver emissão de sêmen; 5 nem aquele que tocar algum animal que rasteja pelo chão, com o que se faz impuro, ou alguma pessoa, com a qual se faz impuro, seja qual for a impureza dessa pessoa. 6 Quem tocar em tais coisas ficará impuro até a tarde e não comerá das ofertas sagradas sem primeiro banhar o seu corpo em água. 7 Depois do pôr do sol estará puro e poderá comer das ofertas sagradas, porque este é o seu alimento. 8 Do animal que morre por si mesmo ou é dilacerado por outro animal não comerá, para não se contaminar com isso. Eu sou o Senhor. 9 Guardarão, pois, a obrigação que têm para comigo, para que, por isso, não levem sobre si pecado e morram, havendo feito profanação. Eu sou o Senhor, que os santifico.

10 — Nenhum estranho poderá comer das ofertas sagradas; nem o hóspede do sacerdote nem o seu trabalhador diarista poderão comer das ofertas sagradas. 11 Mas, se o sacerdote comprar algum escravo com o seu dinheiro, este poderá comer delas; os que nascerem na casa do sacerdote, estes poderão comer do seu pão. 12 Se a filha do sacerdote se casar com um estranho, ela não poderá comer da oferta das coisas sagradas. 13 Mas, se a filha do sacerdote for viúva ou divorciada, não tiver filhos e tiver voltado à casa de seu pai, como na sua mocidade, poderá comer do pão de seu pai; mas nenhum estranho poderá comer desse alimento.

14 — Se alguém, por engano, comer a oferta sagrada, deverá acrescentar a ela a sua quinta parte e a dará ao sacerdote com a oferta sagrada. 15 Os sacerdotes não devem profanar as coisas sagradas que os filhos de Israel oferecem ao Senhor, 16 pois assim os fariam levar sobre si a culpa da iniquidade, comendo as ofertas sagradas; porque eu sou o Senhor, que os santifico.

17 O Senhor disse a Moisés:

18 — Fale a Arão, a seus filhos e a todos os filhos de Israel e diga-lhes: Quando um homem da casa de Israel ou dos estrangeiros em Israel apresentar a sua oferta ao Senhor em holocausto, quer em cumprimento de seus votos ou como ofertas voluntárias, 19 para que seja aceitável deverá oferecer um macho sem defeito, seja do gado, do rebanho de ovelhas ou de cabras. 20 Porém todo o que tiver defeito, esse vocês não poderão oferecer; porque não seria aceito em favor de vocês. 21 Quando alguém oferecer sacrifício pacífico ao Senhor, quer em cumprimento de voto ou como oferta voluntária, do gado ou do rebanho, o animal deve ser sem defeito para ser aceitável; nele, não poderá haver defeito nenhum. 22 O cego, aleijado, mutilado, ulceroso, sarnoso ou cheio de feridas na pele, vocês não os devem oferecer ao Senhor e deles não devem apresentar como oferta queimada ao Senhor sobre o altar. 23 Porém novilho ou cordeiro desproporcionados vocês poderão oferecer por oferta voluntária, mas não será aceito se for para cumprir um voto. 24 Não ofereçam ao Senhor animal que tiver os testículos machucados, moídos, arrancados ou cortados; não façam isso em sua terra. 25 Também da mão de um estrangeiro nenhum desses animais vocês poderão oferecer como pão do Deus de vocês, porque são corrompidos pelo defeito que há neles; não serão aceitos em favor de vocês.

26 O Senhor disse ainda a Moisés:

27 — Quando nascer um bezerro, um cordeiro ou um cabrito, ele ficará sete dias com a mãe dele; do oitavo dia em diante será aceito por oferta queimada ao Senhor. 28 Quer seja vaca ou ovelha, não mate a ela e seu filhote, ambos no mesmo dia. 29 Quando vocês oferecerem sacrifício de ação de graças ao Senhor, façam-no para que vocês sejam aceitos. 30 No mesmo dia, será comido; e, dele, não deixem ficar nada até a manhã seguinte. Eu sou o Senhor.

31 — Guardem e cumpram os meus mandamentos. Eu sou o Senhor. 32 Não profanem o meu santo nome, mas serei santificado no meio dos filhos de Israel. Eu sou o Senhor, que os santifico, 33 que os tirei da terra do Egito, para ser o Deus de vocês. Eu sou o Senhor.
